Ceel awoke before the sun. His stomach felt empty—well, it was empty—and his throat was dry and scratchy. Quickly, he gobbled down some more berries and took a quick swig from the bottle, promising to himself that he would pay back the elf as soon as possible.
Remembering what Myrtal had said about finding the edge of the forest, he fluttered up into the air, deciding he would find a quick way to get there. As he flew, however, the air grew thin and dry. He was struggling to breathe when he glanced down and saw that he could find no end.
