Ok a lot of people hate this film as they think its stupid and unoriginal but lets not forget this is just a homage movie to when Disney was great and it didn’t have Hannah Montana, Camp Rock II etc. What I liked about this film to be honest was that we see an annoying wannabe princess who meets a guy who turns out to be her real true love in the end of the film and she shows him more to life as he is cold-blooded and boring. Of course you know the rest of the story but COME ON it a friggin movie that tells the audiences that love can exist in the reality & fictional world.

The only 4 things that got me turned off it were the following:

#1 The manhole scene was just plain freaky jezz how in the hell did she get in their in the first place it was just so weird.

#2 The animated part of the film in the beginning gave too much away. They shouldn’t have shown that statue dude in the first place cause we all know that she ends up with Dempsey in the end.

#3 Too many errors I spotted loads of mistakes in this film e.g some man walks by twice, guys sleeve magically disappears etc.

#4 The whole Giselle/Robert relationship was all too sudden sure he was the one for her but how in the hell did he fell in love with her all of a sudden they have nothing in common whatsoever, she’s probably 20 something while his 30 +.

But having said that I loved this movie as it brought back memories for me and its one of those films that you can watch again and again. So whoever thinks this is stupid should try and watch it and give it a chance as I did and I enjoyed it. Amy Adams was great in this film yet she did my head in with her annoying sweetness I felt like vomiting every time she talks, as for Patrick Dempsey I actually don’t care about him yet I loved him in this film as he was straight,funny,charming and not to mention hot!!.

So to all the haters so what if its silly and stupid and has an irritating princess who does your head in almost ever rom com has a dude who’s engaged to a woman(The wedding planner,13 going on 30 etc) and falls for someone else,I mean the reason why she ends up with Dempsey’s charcther Robert Philip is because he was the statue in the beginning of the film and that’s why she dumped the prince and ended up with him.

Robert leaves so called fiance(even though he never proposed to her) for Giselle who was his love all along.

The lovey doupy couple who are a rip off of Ariel & Eric.

So for all you haters leave this movie alone sure its not everyone’s cup of tea(my mom hated it)but in every godamn romantic comedy you’ve got a guy fallen for another woman its just a friggin movie.

Takuya I love the fact that even you who love the movie have complaints ^^ And for the most part i agree with you good job =)

LisaForde Thank you Takuya it just sickens me that a lot of people hate this film I mean COME ON its just a fantasy/film. And I for one loved it as it brought back memories sure it was silly in some parts but its my all time favourite movie. Its brilliant.

faya27 I love Enchanted even though there were a few parts that bothered me.

faya27 The one thing that bothered me about the movie was Nancy. First of all, she's not attractive. I mean Idina Menzel looked beautiful in Wicked but in this movie-not really. Her character was also weird. Nancy wants a Prince Charming-type of man yet, we do not know why she was dating Robert who is so dull, cold, and boring. (Hey even the Beast had nice moments). Normally in the love triangle featuring a guy and two possible female suitors, one girl is the nice one while the other girl is the mean one. The problem in Enchanted is that both Giselle and Nancy are nice girls who geniuinely love Robert. So, why does Robert like Giselle better than Nancy? Someone told me that Robert liked Giselle better because Giselle was true to herself whereas Nancy only pretended to be happy with Robert. But I don't recall any evidence where Nancy is truly not happy with Robert. Seems like to me, she was trying really hard to make the relationship work and was very depressed when Robert ended up with Giselle. After learning some tips about love from Giselle, I don't understand why Robert didn't try to use them to fix his relationship with Nancy. I would have like it better if they made Nancy really mean. Like have her team up Queen Narissa to kill Giselle because she got jealous of Giselle's closeness with Robert. Or have plan to send Morgan to a boarding school forever after marrying Robert. It would give us a good reason why Morgan doesn't like Nancy and why Nancy is not the right person for Robert.

IsaacKuo I disagree. I think it's far better to have two serious suitors rather than one good one and one non-contender. I do think that it was because Nancy wasn't true to herself, but actually...the real reason is far more visceral. The real reason was chemistry. Some couples just plain have chemistry, and others don't. Robert and Giselle had chemistry. Nancy and Edward had chemistry. Switched, the couples really didn't. Anyway, Nancy really was dissatisfied. She loved the "new" romantic Robert, but that was just a sham. Robert didn't send those flowers and doves--Giselle did. Conversely, Giselle fell in love with the "old" Robert--the guy who infuriated her with his ideas but who made her feel passionate emotions she never felt before.
