EXO claim the title of \'Best-selling K-pop Album of the Year\' on Japan\'s Tower Records Chart

Tower Records has released their chart of the \'Top 20 Best-selling K-pop Albums of the Year\' in Japan according to sales via Tower Records, and EXO have topped the list with their second mini album \'Overdose\'!

EXO took the #1 spot on Tower Records\' reservation, daily, and weekly charts on the day of \'Overdose\'s release, and the group managed to beat out all the competition of 2014.

2PM\'s Junho is 2nd on the \'Top 20\' list, while SM Entertainment\'s Girls\' Generation, TVXQ, and SHINee round out the top 5.

this is the Korean version of release dear.YG has a different marketing strategy for Japan. They directly release their Japanese Albums not the Korean one. Bigbang didn\'t have any release this year. And if you count the digital downloads then the whole table will be turned. SM did very well undoubtedly in physical sells.

Congrats to Exo! I\'m a little surprised though, because SNSD\'s the Best album broke the record for the longest time a foreign artist\'s album has stayed no.1 (I believe the previous record was held by BoA). None the less, congrats to Exo and their fans and congrats to everyone who made the list :) 

SM is forever rocking the album sales, like seriously. Anyways, congrats EXO, TVXQ, SHINee and my darlings SNSD!!! ♡♡♡

well if you think about it exo sold over a million copies of their overdose album (which includes both the k and m version) and in countries in south korea, china and japan.. they sold well over a million..
