Does this happen to you as well?

Sometimes when I go to fanfiction.net, I get these ads in my face and if I skip them, a virus wants to open itself but my virusscanner somehow manages to stop that. But when I got o my desktop, that same program had put itself there, but my virusscanner doesn't tell me anything about a virus.

Anyways, my main question is; is fanfiction.net always so virus infected or is it just my computer??? At least I think I'll just stop going there for my computer's sake =S

Maybe you click you the ad itself and you have cookie or spyware stuff after that on your computer. Not really virus but annoying all the same.

Otherwise, FF.net is as safe a website than any other. Maybe even safer as they would not risk their reputation just because they would spread viruses or whatsoever. However, like with any site, caution and patience is required to go through predicaments such as popup ads.
