As some of you probably know, I went a little overboard when I learned that Cassie doesn’t like Green Day. I thought it was sheer ignorance and a blinded, snap judgment. I went off. I’m sorry.

Green Day is one of my favorite bands. The Killers are too. They’re both tied for first place, as a matter of fact. When Brandon said what he said about Green Day, it pissed me off, but I didn’t hold it against them. What really got to me was how the fans on both sides of the fence took it. Green Day fans went wild, hating anything to do with The killers. Killers’ fans took offence and held grudges. It was madness and pretty upsetting to someone who loves both their music so deeply.

When I saw Cassie say that she didn’t look like Green Day, I checked out her profile and noticed she’s a little insane over The Killers, and I thought she was just another one of those judgmental fans that hates Green Day just because of what Brandon said and what other Green Day fans do.

The plane ride home was boring. I walked in the door not surprised to see Chandler, my teacup chihuahua. I was surprised, however, to find a little white box with a blue laced ribbon wrapped in a bow. under it was a cream envelope addressed to 'Becky'. I slowly opened the envelope, inside was a card with a picture of a man and a woman holding hands. I opened the card, "My love Becky, I have known you for 10 years, and in that 10 years my love for you has grown a tremendous amount. You must have found the little white box. Please open it now..."
I closed the card and gripped the tiny white box that held my fate. After wiping my eyes I unwrapped the blue ribbon, took the lid off to find the most beautiful diamond i have seen in my life, even on t.v. I picked the ring up and gazed at it for 5 minutes when I noticed a white piece of paper. I pulled it up and read it. "Becky, clearly you have found the ring. I'm so sorry I couldn't have been there to see you. I have issues with my family. My mother got sick....read the card now."
