Regular story chapter one
"I don't know what we're gonna do!" cam yelled, tubbing her red guitar.
"that's just it!" her brother, jacob, yelled, "what are we NOT gonna do?"
"were not gonna quit, that's for sure, said cam, strumming a few chords.
"maybe..." ocean trailed off.
"I know!" yelled mell, "maybe we don't have to write our own song? Maybe just... Yeah, were hopeless."
"I mean, have the instruments, the skills to play them. We just, ugh, lack the poetic talent to actually WRITE a song." said ocean.
"and the shows tonight, don't forget that!" Jacob chimed, almost happy, as he swung his dog tag around his neck.
Cam began strumming a few chords, "never... We are never... By forever... Us together..." she sang.
"hmm..." mell though out loud, "we are hopeless. Never. But together. Forever."
"guys, if we're all thinking the same thing..." cam said.
"I think we just wrote our first hit." a smile crawled across mell's face.
"anyone notice we dot have a band name? Asked blake, tossing a drumstick in the air.
"where have you been?" ocean asked.
"the corner of the room." Blake replied.
"not this room, obvi, cuz the band name is hopeless." can retorted.
"focus guys, we need the lyrics and stuff in order in three hours."
(three hours later)
(time, 8:15. Location, a wooden stage in central park.)
"where are they? When are they on? What time is it? Oh, I hope they win!" pipped Marny.
"let's have a round of applaud for king julien and the lemurs, for their f- uh, f- fan- OH IM SORRY, THAT AWEFUL!!!" Marlene called out, walking the lemurs off the stage. "up next, is hopeless." she said.
When the five came on stage, there was som claps and cheers from the crowd. Ocean snuck a nervous glance at mell. She only nodded.
"you can do it, sis!" kowalski cheered from the crowd.
Under her breath, cam whispered, "I hope, kowalski, I hope."
Mell stood at the microphone, cam and Jacob stood back-to-back, with their guitars in hand, ocean stood being the keyboard, and in the background, black sat being his drums. He started tapping, the signal for the other to start playing.
Can strummed lightly on her red acoustic. Every now and then, Jacob would play a "Boom, boom, pow" on his electric, that way over powered cam's small little acoustic
"never," mell sang. "they say never say never say never, but how can I argue, when never's forever."
Jacob's guitar now took over, picking up the beat, and moving the rhythm faster.
"you know, that its hopeless, I know that it's showing, and we know, that were," the best changed, Blake drummed harder, Jacob slowed his guitar beats, and cam started playing again.
"hopeless, hopeless forever, and. Forever, forever together, and. Together, together until never, but well, never , its forever, and, together is just a word, and where I come from," all the instruments stopped. Then Blake and cam started in with a small steady beat, "together means, love, love means hope, hope means, us. But we are, yeah, yes, are, hopeless, and," Blake joined in, spreading up the beat and rhythm with his electric. Mell sang a little louder, "you know now, why were here, and why we shed tears, but the lyrics just come to us, as we are so clueless, and no you no why we are hopeless," she softened her voice, and all instrument but cam's slow, smooth, beat dropped, "we are hopeless, but together, until never. But never, is always, forever," cam led the song out and gently stopped the last beat on G.
"GIVE IT UP FOR HOPELESS!!!!!" Marlene cheered.
Ocean looked down on her keyboard, she had been working a smaller version of a DJ system, adjusting the sound that leaked out the amp, signaling to each person when to start and stop, and adding some more digital sounding notes to the song. She looked up at the cheering crowd. Tears welled in her eyes as she realized they were successful.
The five penguins waddled offstage, making way another penguin. She was about kowalski's height. She had neon green eyes, with a thick ponytail and thick bangs. Her bangs covered her right eye and had bright, neon green streak going down it, same color as her eyes. Her pony tail had the same green streak are her bangs. Beside her, a lemur with he bangs slicked into one straight point, and a grey flower perched atop her ear.
"who is that?" Blake asked in astonishment.
"my bro's ex, and her BFF. They're in and off-on relationship." answered cam. They're performing a dance routine.
"that was a great song!" privates voice rang, as he ran up to greet them.
"thanks! Glad you liked!" mell said.
"are you really going off-on with that hottie with the green highlights?" the question busted out I blake's mouth.
"who, amber? Yeah, why? You want her?" kowalski asked.
"duh!" Blake practically spit out.
"she's free now, take her before I or she makes a move." kowalski said.
"guys come on, she's a person. Not some toy you share. Let her follow her heart." ocean said.
"I don't think she has one." Jacob corrected. He looked at his phone. "oh! Ten o' clock! Gotta go!" he picked up his guitar.
"what's at ten o'clock?" kowalski asked.
"nothing, I just don't wanna hang out with you guys anymore." he picked up a bag and was on his way
"as well as we're. Both here..." private grabbed ocean's hand and pulled into the moonlight, away from the stage, and ll the excitement.
"ocean, wil you do me a favor?" he asked.
"what?" she asked.
"will you go to Friday's end of summer dance with me?"
"oh, yes! I was waiting for you to ask! I have the perfect dress!!!"
Ocean ran off to join Jacob, who was sitting in Blake's car. Him, Blake, ocean, and patches live in Bronx zoo.
As ocean made her way back to the group, she pulled black by his flippers, and pushed him into the car. She slammed the door, and, before it eve shut, she was sitting in the other side, buckled up and rearing to go.
"do, shall we get back to HQ?" mell asked.
"what about awards?" cam asked.
"eh, if we win anything, amber'll take when she comes." kowalski shrugged.
"then we're off!" cam said.
(the next day)
(time: 10:14 am, location: the girl's room in the penguin's HQ.)
"I'm your biggest fan, I'll follow you until you love me, papa- paparazzi!" cam sang, in sinc, to her mp3.
"but no! No, no, no!" mell cried. She turned the controller in her hand, as if it would make a difference. "daw, shoot. That stupid alien thing just killed my ship!" mell yelled, throwing her controller on the ground.
"aww, I'm so sorry your imaginary character has perished. Too bad no one's eer invented a re-start button!" cam yelled. She jammed the music up way to loud, so she couldn't hear mell through her earbuds.
"cam, would ya turn that lower, I can hear from across the room." she stared continuously at the screen.
Cam just spazzed out to the beat of the music.
Mell rolled her eyes and sighed.
"JUST DANCE! GONNA BE OK! DA-DA-DO- JUST DANCE!" cam sang.
Amber walked in the room, her highlights yellow, for Tuesday. Her eyes the same yellow as her hair.
"those colored contacts are-" mell fared to say, but can interrupted with her music. "BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN!!!"
"exactly," mell said, agreeingly.
"well I'm sorry if I want people to think I'm original. And seems some people hunk I'm pretty." she motioned out the open door to cam's brother, who was talking to skipper about his latest invention.
"that's cuz you got the contacts two days ago." cam retorted.
"hey, I'm just trying them out. I don't have to confirm the order. I can send them back." amber stated.
"amber!" skipper called.
"what?" she replied.
"come help Kowalski bring this thing to the dump!"
Amber slinked out of the room.
"hey I wonder when we get to go on missions." cam though aloud.
"yeah, me too. No fair that we have to train all our lives."
"it's for the best. I take it he won't allow music on a mission." cam said.
"yeah! or video games!" mell said, turning the controller like a steering wheel.
"the point is-" cam took the headphones off, "that-" she was interrupted by an abrupt slam of the bedroom door.
"AKAKAKAKAKAKAKAK" a maniacal laugh filled the air.
"UGH!" mell said, "WADAYA WANT, BOTTLE-BUTT?" she yelled.
"just to watch skipper perish." he said, evilly.
"meh, he don't like us, anyway." said cam.
"and private!" said the dolphin.
"ocean's soon-to-be boyfriend." said mell.
"and I don't really like him." said cam.
"the point is I'm takin you hostage!" said blowhole.
Blowhole threw a net onto each of them, and had his "red ones" carry them into the attack pod.
When they got back to blowhole's lair, "red one" tosses the girls onto a high rise. Cam landed on her back, and mell landed on the edge of the high rise, her head banging on the floor. Her legs slipped, and she started to fall.
"wait-" was all the had time to say, before she flipped foreword, her lower back slamming onto some metal hard thing.
"oh, my tail feathers." she groaned.
Cam turned the volume up on her mp3, which had been brought by accident in all the rush.
"hey, Ellie Golding! I love this song!" she said.
"welcome,I little pen-goo-wins, to your doom!!!" said blowhole, watching from a panel above. "as you can see, your little buddies are pinned against the wall!"
Cam spotted skipper and the gang to the east of them, high on a wall.
"hey, your here too?" she cheerfully asked.
"welcome to club!" amber said.
"yay, I joined a club!!!" can exclaimed.
Mell just face palmed.
"ya know, we're gonna win." skipper said.
"not this time, skipper." said blowhole, glancing up.
"where'd you go?" the dolphin asked, seeing as none of the penguins were pinned to the wall.
He looked down, private and amber were uniting mell and can from their snares.
Then the other three penguins jumped atop him, and took him to the ground.
He threw them off, and private and amber stepped in. They got thrown too.
Cam's rope was weak enough so that she could rip in off, she then untied mell and took her to the control panel. Still undetected, mell kicked blowhole at just the right angle, and he fell to the floor. And cam pressed the button to open the door. Seeing their plan, skipper led the other out, and soon, the girls met them back at HQ.
"that was a really good battle you two fought," skipper said.
"good enough for us to become private's" mell asked excitedly.
Skipper took a breath I air, "no."
"I don't know what we're gonna do!" cam yelled, tubbing her red guitar.
