Simon Tam was happier than he had been in a long time, possibly since his childhood.The source of his happiness was that his sister River was finally recovering from the torture the Alliance conducted on her. It had been six months since the crew had left Persephone after they had fixed Serenity. The injuries they had gotten over the battle with the reavers had finally healed. Their Captain Mal had defeated the deadly Operative, who had insured his and River's safety from the Alliance for quite a while. It looked like for the first time since Simon and River had set foot on Serenity, they could live without the constant fear of capture, at least for the time being. Their newfound freedom and his sister's recovery wasn't the only thing that was making Simon happier these days. He and Kaylee were finally in a relationship. Because of his sister's great recovery Simon was able to get to know Kaylee more and in the span of the six months after Persephone. He and Kaylee were in a loving and strong relationship. Actor Sean Maher has appeared in several television shows and films, but he’s best known to Browncoats everywhere as Simon Tam from Joss Whedon’s beloved cult series Firefly and Serenity, its feature film spinoff. Since his work with Captain Mal and crew, Sean has kept genre close to his heart with guest-starring roles on Ghost Whisperer, Human Target and Warehouse 13. Sean became interested in acting as a child and eventually graduated from NYU with a BFA in drama, lending credence to the adage that if you “follow your dreams, you’ll see the stars” (or, at least, a new star system while aboard a Firefly-class space cruiser).

Fans of Firefly and Serenity will get a chance to see and possibly even meet Sean at this year's Comicpalooza. Although Firefly didn't last more than a single season, its crew have road the wind of cult fame and rooted themselves in the fertile ground of science fiction and other equally geeky corners of the entertainment business.



Our Captain tight-pants has found his place on the abc crime drama Castle. It's not science fiction but Nathan isn't above throwing us Browncoats a bone everyones in a while. Most notably in "Season 2, Episode 6" when he dons a familiar costume.





Nathan has also lent his voice to video game characters such as Halo's Gunnery Sgt Buck.

Gina Torres has yet to find her notch as nathan has. Sense her time as Zoe she has guest stared on many different television shows including the short lived Sci-Fi show FlashForward and the popular Vampire Diaries.
