Farewell Rory and Lorelai...you will be missed!
Official statement from the CW and Warner Bros. Television:
“Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television’s most memorable, lovable characters. We thank Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino, Dave Rosenthal, the amazing cast led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as well as the producers, writers and crew for giving us this delightful gem for the past seven years. We would also like to thank the critics and Gilmore fans for their passionate support and promise to give this series the send off it deserves.”

I am very sad about the way the show ended, not really about the fact that the show ended.

With Rory leaving home it would have been hard to continue the show with the same high quality that it had the oast seven years. And it have a high quality through out, contrary to what so many so-called fans have been saying. Just because I didn't like some of the storylines of the show, doesn't mean that the show was bad.

Anyway, I think the show deserved at least three or four more episodes to wrap up the story to all our satisfaction. The series finale felt rushed and without proper closure.

I really hope, that a movie is in the making, so that I can lay to rest this fantastic show, that has given many wonderful hours of TV-viewing.

I am extremely saddened at the way this show ended and that it did. My mom and I bought seasons 1-7 because we were afraid we had missed too much and we never had a very good relationship and I think that watching the relationship between Lorelai and Rory really helped. Even though I believe season 7 was not their best work I am still so sad to see it end. The moment I finished the last episode I started balling my eyes out for about an hour. Their witty and quirky remarks will be missed. I am praying that they will pick up where they left off with a movie or continuing to another season. If so I will be the first to see the movie or watch and buy the seasons to hopefully come.
