Integration Theory-
Her development from a young adult to adult in Korea is different than other members. Given that her father wasn't initially supportive of her decision to go to Korea in hopes of being an Idol, it shows that she has an independent trait (or rebellious). She doesn't really talk alot. What I mean is that because she had to transition between cultures, she learned to for lack of a better word hold her tongue, which obviously goes against her independent nature.
She likes to present a more "cool" Asian demeanor and not just one that focuses too much on being pretty, which is the reason why she is given (or may ask for) rapping lines so that she can portray an image that is stronger and fits her more independent nature.
Semi-Spotlight-
She never gets to maintain her spotlight. She is normally out shined by either Seohyun, Jessica, or Taeyeon, this has been an constant occurrence since debut. It will come and then it will go just as fast, which can explain her tendency to be attention seeking and her on stage alibiing. She feels as though she must do something to compensate the fact that she really isn't "all that", want a cruel example...she messed up her voice twice and also really tries to force her voice to sing in ways that may not be best suited for her.
She may actually be attention-seeking because she may feel (in some portion) like she is part of a group that she may not be ready for. What do I mean? Sunny is the worst vocalist in the vocal line, but notice how SM doesn't push her to the spotlight, same with Seohyun who is a better singer than Tiffany. None of the two mentioned are forced to the spotlight only her, only Tiffany who again may be trying to over compensate for a lack in something.
Jealousy-
This kinda goes back to the semi-spotlight idea. She said so herself, she is very possessive and doesn't like to share her relationships. As a result, she doesn't like to be ignored or better yet isolated. When she is performing she tries to stand out, because she wants some attention on her again going back to the fact that she may feel like she doesn't fit in with the group. Not saying she doesn't, but her actions can imply such. She doesn't have a lot to point to, due to that she tries to really work with what she has. She tries to do the best with what she has.
Good intentions-
Now that we are done being too critical, we can list her good traits. She tries to appear very positive, considering she doesn't always have a good reason to be positive. She hass no problem with someone not liking her independant nature, nor does she care about always looking pretty. Her goal is to be strong not pretty, she isn't fond of being the "pretty girl". Her idol is BoA for a reason. She wants to be strong however with that wanting, she still has those moments where she comes across as "weak" for lack of a better phrase. I will note that Tiffany was called the "SNSD Cheerleader" because of her tendency to advertise the group and make everyone seem really awesome. She sometimes may overstep on her compliments but she tries to still put up a front of being a strong, kind, mature person...even if sometimes it goes against her nature.
