Playing with fire...pt.1

Mornings in Alfea were never peacefull...usually someone would wake up to find out their hair is messed up and they would make a complete drama. Or someone wouldnt know what to wear and make more drama, or just other stuff.
Usually it because of Mina...she would take a shower early in the morning and put music while she's at it. Of course, it would be metal music and it would wake everyone up!
Most wouldnt mind...what bothered us the most is that Mina would take an eternity in the bathroom! Which me, Hornet and her share...

"Mina!" I cried knocking at the door "Hurry up!"
"coming!" cried Mina from inside.

She got out 10 minutes later, fully dressed and drying her hair with a towel.

"Finally!" I said standing up and taking my own towel "You took an eternity in there!"
"now you're exagerating" she said "it wasnt that much"
"it was" said Hornet "you said you would take only a mo...you were in the bloody shower for hours!"
"mo? bloody? since when are you british?" asked Mina changing the subject
"I'm just practicing my accent" Hornet answered, her cheeks turning pink
"and why would you like to practice your accent? trying to impress someone?" Mina asked
"I bet its Draco" I said "he's british, isnt him?"
"indeed...but I do not want to impress anyone" she said turning her view away "now, Terra, will you take a shower or not?"
"yeah, I will"

I walked inside the bathroom. about 20 minutes later I was out, fully dressed and drying my hair just like Mina had. Hornet walked inside the bathroom after I got out without a word and locked the door.
I moved to my side of the room and put my towel away, moving to the mirror to comb my hair.

"Is Dustfinger coming to Alfea?" asked Mina
"yes...why you asking?" I asked raising an eyebrow
"nothing...I was just wondering" she said shrugging "he needs to do me a favor"
"a favor? what kind of favor?"
"fire-talking classes" she said shrugging once again "I asked if he could help me improve and he agreed"
"why ask him and not Farid?" I asked raising an eyebrow "Farid has more time"
"I dont think Meggie would appreciate me hanging around her ex"
"oh they broke up last night true...I forgot" I said turning back to the mirror "well...he's coming to have lunch with me"
"sweet! I'll ask for a schedule then"

I saw Mina smile brightly and walk off the room. It was quiet odd...see her so excited about seeing Dustfinger. I shrugged the feeling off and finished with my hair. I was holding it into a pony-tail as I saw Hornet walk off the bathroom, fully dressed too. she waved her hand and her hair dried off with a blink.

"you're so lucky" I said "you can dry your hair so easily"
"I thank my powers for that" she said with a smile "Do not envy, though...your powers are cooler"
"I dont envy you for your powers...now I do envy you for your hair" I confessed
"my hair?"
"yeah..I like it better than mine"

and it was true...her hair is just beautiful.
Hornet's was a black color, almost as black as the night and it would have that unique shine. It was long and straight, it almost reached the back pockets of her jeans.

Truth be told...I always thought all Glamix were better in some way than me...by personality and physically.

I mean, if you see me you would know by fact I'm not any boy's fantasy.
My hair its sandy blond color, and the mortals have this thinking that blonds are stupid...and my hair is so plain! it has no shape! my bangs would just stand in every direction possible and my the rest of my hair would get tangled all the time.
Now lets go to my face...not the perfect face. My eyes just a little bit separated and they are just sooooo wide! they make me look like a small child...my nose it's small for the rest of my face...and my lips, most of the time cracked and I just dont know why...
Now the rest of my body...I know I'm not atractive. AT ALL!
I'm not that tall...I mean, I'm not as tall as Hula...really, I'm the smallest in the whole group! and lets face it...I dont have the best boobs, if anything I'm the one who has less! and my bottom is just not the best either...Heaven knows what I would do to have a body Cindy!

And then comes my personality...
I'm not funny like Ginta, or intelligent like Meggie...and much less so responsible as Mina or mature like Juliet...if anything I'm all the contrary. I'm completely childish. I like to play and run around and my voice is so laud!! I scream about everything and get excited about the most un-important things...

But there comes Dustfinger, my boyfriend. I really dont know what he sees in me...I mean, everyone is just better than me, what would he see in a girl like me? whatever it is...I'm glad he does.
Really, he's my world...we have been dating for 5 months by now and it had been the best 5 months of my life.

"Hey Terra" greeted Dustfinger as he walked inside my office at lunch time
"hello Dustfinger!" I said with a big smile "I'll be done in a minute"
"what are you doing?" he asked
"just some paperwork...need to make the schedules of all the grades" I said with a sigh

Just as I finished Mina walked through the door, a bright smile iluminated her face as she saw Dustfinger.

"hey Dustfinger!" she said beaming
"hello Mina, how you doing?" he said returning the smile
"as good as I could be teaching annoying kids"
"ah I see...not so well"
"no...one of my students almost put my hair in fire!"
"well, now that you can handle...being a fire-eater yourself"
"I still need those classes" she said "what about now? you have time, dont you?"
"I was actually going to have lunch with Terra..." he started but none heard the end of it
"come on, Terra is busy at the moment, arent you?" Mina asked me
"well...yeah but-" I couldnt finish my sentence 'cause Mina cut me in mid-sentence
"cool!" she said taking hold of Dustfinger's hand and starting to drag him to the door "lets go!"
"alright...see you later Terra" he called and then they were off.

I stared at the door in disbelief...had they just run off, holding hands?
there was something odd about it all...but I told myself to get rid of the thoughts. They were just going for a class. He was teaching her to control her powers...that's all.
But I couldnt help but thing there was something else...
