Over the last two years, the fandom has become divided and so dependent upon favorite ships and characters that there's no fun anymore. That's the problem when you have a phenomenal show whose quality starts to downfall. In Season 2, the writers started to depend more heavily on relationship-powered storylines rather than group plot-powered ones. They presented your pairs to root for: Finchel, Klaine, Brittana; of course the fandom fell in love with these pairings. They started to differentiate between 'endgame' relationships and temporary ones (ie. your Fuinn or Luck or Emma/Carl). The writers found something to keep the viewers interested: their ships and characters. The problem is that they have played around with them so much in portrayal, and consequently plot, that it's become a battle for attention.

By portrayal, I mean issues such as differences in screentime and double standards. Everyone wants to see their character on screen, not necessarily all the time, but for a fair amount. Glee was very promising in Season 2 when they found a way to run Klaine, Brittana, and Finchel/(Quinn's) storylines pretty equally. As Season 3 occurred, the weight shifted towards...

Hi everybody! This is Fetchgirl with a rant - or so - here. I haven't been on for a long period of time lately, for I had to deal with school and other problems taking up my time. Anyway, I have a discussion that I want to get off my chest. What better way to start a rant article, eh?

Now, let's start off with last night. The People's Choice Awards aired obviously (I was told at the last minute and missed Chris and Lea, but I could care less about it anymore). Awards show season is starting back up, and we get some winners for choice actor, actress, movie, and TV show. Oh, what's this? Chris and Lea both got awards. I applaud them. Fan Following and Choice TV Comedy...not so much.

I'm not concerned about some award, 'cause any TV show or movie can get an award any time technically. I'm concerned about where this show is going. Let's block out every other show other than Glee and focus on this. Of course we lost for those two categories, and I'm gonna tell you why.
