Yeah, cuz he was tricked into getting hell for his home. He's no more evil than any other god.

I hate when people put Hades as a bad guy. He was tricked and he just take care of a world. He is not evil, he is just a guardian, just like Anubis.

It's not his fault he's grouchy. He was suppoed to rule the world, because he's the oldest of the tree brothers, but Zeus tricked him.

He forced Persephone to marry him, but at least he's loyal, I guess. Zues forced Hera, his sister, and cheats. So I guess there's worse, but I still don't like him for what he did to Persephone.

The Underworld is not hell, the place that comes the closes to it is called Tartarus, it's part of the Underworld, although that wasn't always the case.

There are many different versions of how Hades and Persephone meet, older versions has it that Persephone finds her way into the Underworld and then making Hades allow her to stay. In another Persephone actually fell in love with Hades and went with him willingly into the Underworld, she actually begged him to take her with him. In the version in which he takes her, Hades never once harmed Persephone in anyway.
