Not a Grimm tale this time around, “Three Billy Goats Gruff” is of Norwegian origin. Which I’m very happy about, because Scandinavian (and Celtic and Russian for that matter) folklore is very colorful and very interesting. I hope we’ll get some more stories from those corners of the world.

“Three Little Pigs” is not a Grimm fairy tale, but an English one. This episode takes a really interesting approach, by telling a kind of “what might happen next” stories. The story about doing things properly instead of taking the easy way out, about building a life on strong foundations, becomes a story about a circle of revenge. Nevertheless, the source text is very present in this episode.
