I am sorry if I hurt your feelings but even yours is not "REAL"

The real H2O locket has a crystal shaped gem, not round. Also the waves on the back are blue on yours, plain silver on theirs. The waves are not shaped 100% the same. The attached hinge on the inside is shaped like a rectangle, not triangle. The small bumps inside are grid-like, unlike yours, where the bumps are placed randomly. The small part used to open the locket it slightly wider here, whereas the real ones have a narrower opener. The part used to attach the necklace to the chain has a wider top, and the real ones are more narrow. On the back, where the gem is, on yours, there is a hole, and the real one used on the show has a filled in part.

Trust me on this, I have searched this locket for years, memorized the exact shape, to every last detail, PLUS, I have the same necklace you have, with the shell shaped package and everything. Proof: On the backside of the package it says:

Mine has chipped slightly, and it has plastic on the inside. So technically, yours is not "REAL" - It's not real silver.

I have to be honest with you - you are being mean, and even more mean than you may think MermaidPoppy is to you, but it isn't going to help you by saying she is wrong all the time. She is just a little girl, and you have to understand that. Her locket truly is beautiful, and it is much more close than anybody can get to the real locket, and any differences (which nobody may be able to tell) are very minor and unnoticeable. Don't you think you might have been a little bit harsh when you made the list of things she is wrong at, where most of them are just because you are insecure? It would be nice to see you both accept each other, and be friends, rather than saying mean things to make you feel better.

I am disgusted by what has been written. No one has a right to take away a belief from a Child, real or not! I live in Australia and the fact is the lockets were made by GoldieMarketing & sold through Target. They & other accessories, eg clothes & swimming costumes etc, were also sold through Target. The lockets have not been sold in Australian Target stores for quite sometime. The one that MermaidPoppy is talking was made for the shows merchandise department by GoldieMarketing in China. A month a two ago they appeared on a ebay listing and sold out fast worldwide. My mother purchased 3 after doing some research & being satisfied they were h20 "MERCHANDISE". Fanpop is not a place for such personal attacks as written above. Everyone can dream...whether wanting to be a mermaid or whatever else takes their fancy. Peace.

This is coming from somebody who went thru school hatin it because of all the petty little arguments that happened between friends. when your in your teens (espesially between 13 and 17) it may seem life life couldn't get any better coz all there is to life is school so u get to spend lots of time with your friends and watching pointless tv because thats wat most kids programs are POINTLESS because they dont actually teach you anything about the really world because wizards and mermaids don't exist. I know its nice sometimes to dream and its good for your brain to dream but u can't live in a fantasy world all the time so i'm not saying stop watching these programs (coz Selena Gomez is gorgeous) and because its nice to get away from reality for a while, you just need to realise that the are fantasy and you really shouldn't take them to seriously.
Of course if other people have a different prespective on it please feel free to add it.

I agree that these programs are pretty pointless but most teenagers can distinguish between reality & make believe. I watch WOWP cos its a laugh & h20 cos of the story line. Its the younger kids who would dream of being a mermaid or whatever else they might like and I think in a way its healthy. Eventually they mature & realise that what they watch or dream of is not real or as eppla said, just a fantasy. I wanted the h20 locket not because i believe in mermaids or wanted powers but because i simply like the locket itself & I'm a fan of the show. Younger kids would want it because they believe in the fantasy & can "pretend" through play that they are one of the mermaids. All very harmless in the scheme of things.

I'm gunna agree with h20emma44 here...I agree with all the things she posted and I do think that MermaidPoppy is being a jerk about this. h20emma44 is stating the facts, when MermaidPoppy is just trying to brag about having "THE 'real' h20 locket" when its just a cheap $20 piece of recycled aluminum can made into a necklace. I'm really not trying to be rude, but before ya'll freak out at me for putting her down about this, look closely at the two sides of this argument...

my argument: 'official' h20 locket ISN'T THE EXACT LOCKET and is from TARGET and only costs $20, as apposed to the one from sterlingsilverarts.com, which is $100 dollars is NOT a ripoff and is sure as heck way more valuable than the aluminum one.

But still with my part of the argument, I do believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion and their beliefs and if MermaidPoppy thinks this locket gives you so called "special mermaid powers" than she can, but it just is going to be that much more depressing to her when she has her mind set on becoming a mermaid and it doesn't happen. I very much believe in mermaids and I think they are real but the ability of becoming one doesn't come from a locket.

Oh and MermaidPoppy- anyone and everyone has a right to wear this locket, not just nice mermaids who believe.
