Harry Potter  best answer

That's difficult; there are so many wonderful female characters in the series! But I think the best would have to be none other than Luna Lovegood :)

At a first glance, she may seem simply odd. She believes in nargles and wrackspurts. She reads the Quibbler backwards (although later on in Order of the Phoenix (book) you find you why ^_^) and she is so very dreamy and spacey.

But she's far deeper than that.

Luna exhibits an extremely high level of intelligence. In fact, she is every bit as intelligent as Hermione herself! Luna is just intelligent in a different sort of way; whereas Hermione is logical, bookwise, and clever, Luna is deep, intuitive, and perceptive. She sees things in ways that others cannot. She can read people so easily, and she never judges anybody. She is open-minded, kind and caring. She was always herself, and even when people didn't take her seriously, she remained true to her beliefs.

She is also extremely tough. People underestimate how tough she is, simply because she is optimistic. However, there is a distinct difference between innocence and optimism; I would not say Luna is innocent, although she is sweet, quirky and optimistic. She's tough. She watched her mum die when she was but nine years old, and yet she remains optimistic. She has been outcast through most of her school years, and yet she is happy. She was kidnapped by Death Eaters and held at Malfoy Manner, where she was likely tortured and certainly treated horribly, and yet she continued to think of others, and she continued to have hope and stay optimistic. That is truly tough. Of course, she is a tough fighter too; at the Department of Mysteries, other than Harry, Luna was the last one standing and able to fight. Luna fought, and survived, the Battle of Hogwarts, where she even, with Hermione and Ginny, helped to fight Bellatrix Lestrange. She is more powerful than you may think :)

Of course, she was never written to be perfect (if a character is written to be perfect, they always turn out horribly). She is spacey, easily distracted, and gullible. But these traits all help to make her who she is, and who she is is a wonderful, strong, independent, intelligent, lovely young witch :)

To me,Hermione Granger is the most perfect character in the entire series. High in intellect, rich in logics and perfect in reasoning-Hermione is,as Ron and the others say,an incredible"Know-it-all". Love u my sweet Hermy!!!

Ginny is a smart and brave character, and is the most understanding girlfriend. She remains so strong even when Harry breaks up with her at the end of HP6,as Harry wonders,"this is one of the most wonderful things about Ginny-she was hardly ever tearful"because she understood how her tears would weaken Harry.I love her for her blazing look that she only reserves for Harry, and I know,so does Harry.

Luna, with her queer ideas and dreamy look, also makes an interesting character. She's quite intelligent too-"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure" In HP5,on their way to the ministry,it was she who gave the idea of flying on thestrals while the others were totally confused. So the seemingly peculiar girl is a true RAVENCLAW!

I like Prof.Mcgonagall's character. She's an amazingly brave woman and not to mention, with her stern face, tight bun & glasses, the perfect teacher! it was touching when in the last movie, she says"it's good to see u,Potter" to Harry with a very motherly look.

Mrs Weasley,is also, one of the great female characters of Harry Potter,to me.I'll never forget how she helped Harry the first time in the station. He was not her son's best friend then, nor did she know, that he was the "The Harry Potter".Later on,the way she treats Harry-one can never say she ever prefered Ron to him, which shows her kind heart.Love u Mrs Weasley!!!

Well I can't speak for everyone, but Luna was and always will be my favorite character. Mostly because of what I mentioned in the last question/answer. She just never tried to cover her true self. What you saw was what you got, but in the same breath Luna was intelligent, she had this deeper wisdom and rarely did her peers take her seriously. But she still stood to her convictions whether they looked at her as a loony or not. She never tried to construct herself to fit any ones expectations. And in the end all saw that she knew what she was talking about.

Hermione is my first thought because she is one of the protagonists. But also Mrs McGonagall because she was like a mother to Harry when he was at Hogwarts. Mrs Weasley was as well I suppose. idk!! This is a tough one, but probably those three...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Narcissa. She's very dedicated to her family, and she's a lot stronger than people give her credit for. She defied the Dark Lord to save her son when she made the Unbreakable Vow with Snape, and she probably saved Harry's life when she lied to him about Harry being dead.

Ginny and Hermione!!

Ginny is clever and courageous, and I admire her for those traits. She is also determined, she stands by herself when something goes wrong. She is tough yet kind, and I love her for all these reasons.

Hermione, on the other hand, is very smart and sly (when you need to be sneaky.). When I first heard her name in the book when I was in kindergarten, it was the love between a fan and her favorite character. I've followed her so far! From 11 years to 17, I will always have a special connection with Hermione Jean Granger.
