Harry Potter Question

Aren't Unforgivable curses supposed to be unblockable?

In pg.710 of the half blood prince,Snape uses Legilimency to detect and then deflect a Cruciatus curse by Harry. However in the 4th book Mad-Eye Moody(or impostor Moody)teaches that Unforgivable curses are not deflect-able by any means.Isn't this a contradiction?

The impostor is not a teacher remember that... and some things about spells and curses and charms are classified. Perhaps impostor Moody knows that the unforgivable curses can be blocked yet conceals it from his students for some reasons pro him. Another option is that Impostor moody really does not know what he is teaching.

He'd have interrogated the real Moody about the teaching, or he'd be caught out if students ever begin talking of the lessons in front of other teachers

Who would interrogate Moody? I didn't get... The spot for defense against the dark arts is like bewitched... shortage of defense against the dark arts teachers...except snape who wanted the job...

Moody/Crouch teaches that the Avada Kedavra curse is impossible to block or shield or dodge, the only survivor ever being Harry. There's no mention whether the Cruciatus curse can be deflected (though a Shield Charm would be too weak, stronger protective spells might work).

Ok not sure if this is just an error , but it kinda proves (maybe by error) that Avada Kedavra is indeed dodgeable -
DH Chapter 31
"Crabbe wheeled around and screamed, “Avada Kedavra!” again. Ron leapt out of sight to avoid the jet of green light. "
So doesn't this pretty much prove that you can save yourself from the curse...? Since Ron doesn't die and dodges it .

Maybe it depends on the strength of the spell's casting, and Crabbe's was weak because he'd only learned it that year.

Or you were right, and it's a continuity error. I was just guessing at another possible explanation.
