((This is yet another one-shot based on my fanfic "In The Background." If you'd like to read it and other Hailey Potter stories, just send me a message and I'll direct you to all the stories.
This particular one takes place just after the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry and Hailey have a talk. That's all I'm saying.))

Hailey Potter stood on the ruined steps of Hogwarts Castle, looking out at the grounds. It had been a few days since the battle, since the world changed.

A steady rain was falling, turning most of the ground to mud. She could see his footprints in the mud, leading down towards the lake. She followed them. It wouldn't do for him to be alone, tonight.

"I saw them. In the forest," he said, speaking past a lump in his throat. Hailey stood next to him. She could sense his troubled mind. "Ever since I saw them inthe Mirror, I wished they would come back."

"No magic can reawaken the dead," Hailey replied. She put one hand on his shoulder, feeling the warmth.

I was reading DH again, and I came across something rather odd. This something is the image of Grindelwald stealing the Elder Wand from Gregorovitch. That scene set my mind whirring. I just had to write down whaat was going on inside my mind. Please keep in mind that this is a major DH spoiler, as well as very convoluted. If you find yourself very confused after reading this, put down this article and take a nap. It'll make more sense when you wake up.
Now, on to the first Wild and Crazy Theory.

Gregorovitch had the Elder Wand, as he was trying to duplicate it for his customers, but it was later stolen by Grindelwald. Grindelwald used it to make a name for himself as a terrifying Dark wizard until his defeat at the hands of Dumbledore, who then took the wand, seeking to tame its power, as Dumbledore was the new master. Years later, Malfoy Disarmed Dumbledore, becoming the next master without knowing it.
However, my own research into the theft has proven that Grindelwald did NOT, in any way, defeat Gregorovitch before taking the wand. Aas my research into the event has shown, Grindelwald took the wand from a workbench when Gregorovitch was out of the room,...

This was for my birthday party a while ago. A bunch of my friends, and i have CRAZY friends, came over. I remade Hogwarts using my yards and the rooms in my house. We also redecorated my sister's (house elf) magical Snow White Cottage into Hagrid's Hut . . . We went to all of our classes and made some really creepy potions. I forgot to tell everyone that the pickled onions had been in the fridge for 6 and a 1/2 years, but they were already eating them . . . oh well. To Madame Pomfrey they go!
So . . . yeah. I have to fill up this "article" or it won't let me publish it, so I'm just gonna write lyrics to some songs here.

Think of Lion King.
Now read this.

Avada Kedavra
What a wonderful phrase
Avada Kedavra
ain't no passing craze
It means i'm killin'
mudbloods, house elves, or slaves
it's our problem free
philosophy
avada kedavra!

ADMIT IT. YOU SUNG THIS.

6 years ago, I heard people in my school talk about a particular "Harry Potter". Those were the days when I spent lot of the days shut up in a room; I was not exactly social, and I was scared to get into a theater. Which made me think Harry Potter was shit, and I had to turn back every time people talk about it.

I don't know why, but I was reluctant to read Harry Potter those days. I was wonderful with reading, and have read complex stuffs like Da Vinci Code. My cousin then got me a set of second hand books for my birthday along with some DVD. I eagerly opened it. To my dismay, it was all Harry Potter.

I ignored those presents for days. Hell, I ignored my cousin too. After much coaxing from my friends, I finally agreed to take a sneak peek. Which turned to be something beautiful, a world of more that I could imagine.

The irony of it all- my cousin and my friends- all of them wished I'd never heard of the boy-who-lived. Oh, Sweet Merlin!

~Chapter 8~

The door to the empty building slammed closed as the edge of the cloak as dark as the night it travelled in whipped through the gap. The owners in the flat above never even realising that someone had passed through their shop. The normally crowded village was empty and dark; the only lights were the result of a few of the still open pubs. The cloak wrapped around the obviously feminine body shadowed the face of the tall girl, not even a hair escaped the confines of the hood wrapped so tightly against the increasing cold weather of early autumn.

She quickly sped down passed the friendlier option of The Three Broomsticks, keeping to the shadows to avoid being seen by the odd wanderer she then entered the quieter and older building that was The Hogs Head, sitting at a bar stool alone she waited to be served, it...

((You're all thinking I'm insane. Maybe I am. But that means you are, too. Besides, I highly doubt that this is the first fanfic of a fanfic.
By the way, all I own is Hailey Potter. The others own themselves.

With Harry Potter's firstborn son on the way, literally, Hailey sits him down to have a littlle chat. Could Harry finally be getting the family he always longed for? Or will their past troubles crowd out the possibility of a future?))

The Muggle hospital certainly wasn't the most encouraging environment for afather-to-be. Harry just would not sit still. At the moment, he was pacing the corridor like a caged lion while Hailey watched. The simile perfectly fit her twin brother. He certainly had a temper. Unfortunately, she'd been on the recieving end of that temper. She pushed her oval glasses faarther up her nose.
"Harry, stop pacing. You're treading a rut in the carpet. Trust me, they'd come out here if anything happened."

Hey! Here are some facts I found in my book, The Magic Of Harry, NZ children pay tribute to JK Rowling. It's an oldish book, and only the first 4 book were published, so some of the facts are old and might not really make sense, or something. Here you go -

1. JK Rowling wrote her first book when she was 6, and it was called Rabbit - it was about a rabbit.

2. The 4 Harry Potter books have been rated #1, #2, #3 and #4 on the adult bestseller list of The New York Times.

3. A bookshop in England sold one copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban every 40 seconds in the first hour it was available!

4. In the first 3 hours of it's release The Prisoner of Azkaban sold 16,853 copies throughout England. That's more than 5600 copies every hour!

5. Joanne's ( J.K's ) fave author is Jane Austen.

6. Hermione is a bit like Joanne when she was 11.

7. Both The Philosophers Stone and The Chamber of Secrets won the gold Smarties Children's Book award which is voted for by British school-children.

Chapter 7

Just over a week passed at Hogwarts, Students got pulled back into subjects, teachers piled on homework and Quidditch practises were started. Draco and Hermione continued to get on with all of their jobs as Heads while managing not to fight too much. That said they did act differently, they tried to avoid each other the best they could. Never looking the other directly in the eye, both remembered clearly what had happened that second night but it was never mentioned. After that Hermione made sure she remembered to put a silencing charm on her door at night so if she did scream she wouldn’t wake Draco up, she didn’t want him to have an excuse to tell people about her nightmares. For all he knew after that night they had stopped, but they hadn’t. Hermione knew that they would stop soon enough, they always did but as soon as it was mentioned it set her off into another few weeks of night-time torture. She kept the bleeding scratches on her arm hidden by a bandage and then the sleeves of her robes.

WANDS

1. Daniel Radcliffe wore out 60-70 wands during the making of the Harry Potter films.
2. Every wand that you see in any of the Harry Potter films is created on-site. No two wands are alike…not even the Weasley twins’!
3. Wands are 13-15 inch long and haven’t changed in length, so the actors have had to grow into them over the years.
4. Dumbledore’s wand was a very elaborate design, even though its significance of being the Elder Wand was far from being known when made.

PROPS

5. Radcliffe has been through 160 pairs of glasses during the shooting of all the Harry Potter films
6. Forty versions of Salazar Slytherin's locket had to be created to accommodate Ron and Harry's failed attempts to destroy it.
7. Five 32-ton trucks' worth of polystyrene were needed to create all the rubble for Deathly Hallows.
8. To keep brooms light-weight and aesthetically on spec, aircraft-grade titanium is employed in their structure.

Hermione Granger is a Gryffindor student and the best witch in her year at Hogwarts. She has lots of bushy brown hair, brown eyes and large front teeth, and frequently demonstrates her impressive knowledge. Her parents are Muggle dentists.

Discovered in chapter 6 The Journey from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters

Hermione quickly earns a reputation as a bossy know-it-all at Hogwarts. Harry and Ron initially try to ignore her

Discovered in chapter 10 Hallowe'en

When, on Hallowe’en, Ron calls Hermione “a nightmare,” Hermione spends the rest of the day crying in the first-floor girls’ toilet. Harry and Ron, while trying to warn her about the mountain troll that has been set loose in the castle, accidentally lock the creature inside the bathroom with her. They rush back in and the trio work together to knock out the troll. Through their triumph they become friends.

Professor Snape:
Severus Snape is the Potions master and Head of Slytherin house at Hogwarts. He has sallow skin, greasy hair, a hooked nose, black eyes and a severe dislike of Harry Potter.

Discovered in chapter 8
The Potions Master
During the start-of-term feast, Percy tells Harry that Professor Snape knows an awful lot about Dark magic, and that it’s widely known that Professor Snape would rather teach Defence Against the Dark Arts than his own subject.

Professor Snape’s dislike for Harry becomes obvious during the first Potions lesson of the year, in which he singles Harry out, firing questions at him; he sneers when Harry doesn’t know the answers and takes points from Gryffindor for Harry’s cheeky retort.

Discovered in chapter 11
Quidditch
After Hallowe’en, Professor Snape is seen limping and, later, nursing a wound given to him by the three-headed dog on the third-floor corridor. As a result, Harry and Ron begin to believe this is because he is trying to get past the creature to the trapdoor underneath. He also appears to be trying to jinx Harry off his broom during the Gryffindor...

wo of my most prized possessions are a pair of small notebooks, which contain my very first scribblings about Harry Potter. Much of what is written in them was never used in the series, although it is startling to come across the odd line of dialogue that subsequently made it, verbatim, to publication.

In one of the books is a list of forty names of students in Harry's year (including Harry, Ron and Hermione), all allocated houses, with small symbols beside each name depicting each boy or girl's parentage.

While I imagined that there would be considerably more than forty students in each year at Hogwarts, I thought that it would be useful to know a proportion of Harry's classmates, and to have names at my fingertips when action was taking place around the school.

As the stories evolved, I changed the parentage of some of the original forty. While some never appeared in the books at all, I always knew that they were there; some had surgery to their names after their first creation; a few emerged from the background to have their own secondary stories (Ernie Macmillan, Hannah Abbott, Justin Finch-Fletchley), and one, Neville...

The name of the street where the Dursleys live is a reference to that most suburban plant, the privet bush, which makes neat hedges around many English gardens. I liked the associations with both suburbia and enclosure, the Dursleys being so smugly middle class, and so determinedly separate from the wizarding world. The name of their area is 'Little Whinging', which again sounds appropriately parochial and sniffy, 'whinging' being a colloquial term for 'complaining or whining' in British English.

J.K Rowling:

Although I describe the Dursleys' house as big and square, as befitted Uncle Vernon's status as a company director, whenever I wrote about it I was unconsciously visualising the second house I lived in as a child, which on the contrary was a rather small three-bedroomed house in the suburb of Winterbourne, near Bristol. I first became conscious of this when I entered the number four Privet Drive that had been built at Leavesden Studios, and found myself in an exact replica of my old house, down to the position of the cupboard under the stairs and the precise location of each room. As I had never described my old home to the set...

((In preparation for the July release of my newest fanfic, "In The Background," I present to you a short excerpt. The story strongly follows Ms. Rowling's original plot, but with a few changes of my own. As you can see by the title here, this will most likely be the largest fanfic you've ever seen.
I have seen a lot of stories here centered around the Trio's fifth year. This is one of the few (if any) stories that follows all seven books.
Most of the chapters in the story are loosely based off the original. However, this chapter is one of three I wholly invented.))

Hailey Potter strode down the street of the village, alone. She hadn't been here since the night her parents died. It was strange, coming back. She could almost hear the high, cold laugh, see the flash of green light. Wherever Harry was, Hailey was sure he'd be fighting as hard as he could.
She pulled her cloak closer around her. It was cold and a bit snowy, perhaps early December. She scanned both sides of the street. It would be here somewhere…

Yayyyyyy I'm in Gryffindor....

The Sorting Hat has placed you in Gryffindor

New from J.K. Rowling

Congratulations! I’m Prefect Percy Weasley, and I’m delighted to welcome you to GRYFFINDOR HOUSE. Our emblem is the lion, the bravest of all creatures; our house colours are scarlet and gold, and our common room lies up in Gryffindor Tower.

This is, quite simply, the best house at Hogwarts. It’s where the bravest and boldest end up – for instance: Albus Dumbledore! Yes, Dumbledore himself, the greatest wizard of our time, was a Gryffindor! If that’s not enough for you, I don’t know what is.

I won’t keep you long, as all you need to do to find out more about your house is to follow Harry Potter and his friends as I lead them up to their dormitories. Enjoy your time at Hogwarts – but how could you fail to? You’ve become part of the best house in the school.

Wand Cores

New from J.K. Rowling

The following description of the powers and properties of the three main wand cores used by Mr Garrick Ollivander are taken from his own notes.

Early in my career, as I watched my wandmaker father wrestling with substandard wand core materials such as kelpie hair, I conceived the ambition to discover the finest cores and to work only with those when my time came to take over the family business. This I have done. After much experimentation and research, I concluded that only three substances produce wands of the quality to which I am happy to give the illustrious name of Ollivander: unicorn hair, dragon heartstring and phoenix feather. Each of these costly and rare materials has its own distinct properties. The following represents a short summary of my researches into each of the three Supreme Cores. Readers should bear in mind that each wand is the composite of its wood, its core and the experience and nature of its owner; that tendencies of each may counterbalance or outweigh the other; so this can only be a very general overview of an immensely complex subject.
