Bellatrix Lestrange
I have been on the Harry Potter spot for a while now and I constantly find myself getting asked "why do you like Bellatrix?" So I decided to type up this article. Thank you lifeisgoodx3 for inspiring me to do so.

So why would some one like a person who killed Sirius, Dobby, Tonks, and tortured Hermione and the Longbottms? Well I actually have multiple reasons as to why I like her; Bellatrix stands for what she believes in, she's crazy and funny, pretty, unique, strong and confident, she has an interesting story behind her, I can relate to her, she has potential to be a good guy, and I have a lot of good memories that relate to her.

Firstly, Bellatrix is very loyal and devoted. Though her loyalties lie on the evil side and her devotion is to someone darker then dark the trait is apparent. I respect and admire the fact that Bellatrix is so dedicated. Bellatrix never one thought about betraying Voldemort or switching sides. Bellatrix spent fifteen years in Azkaban unlike a lot of the Death Eaters who wormed their way out of it believing that Voldemort was gone for good. Bella kept her faith in Voldemort, believing he would return for her. In the end her...

Look at how popular Harry Potter used to be millions of fans all over. How many of you are on the pivoting point from switching like everyone else? Look at all the books now that have such great adventures like Percy Jackson, or 39, maybe Twilight. Its starting to bring Harry Potter down. Sure were getting a few more fans because of the movies. Now we only have about 75,000 fans all over America. Its really time to say Harry Potter is better in every way. Can you put a jinx on a werewolf in Twilight? Yeah didn't think so.

Now movies you get the Sorcerers apprentice, Percy Jackson, twilight. Its pathetic. Oh yeah another thing Twilight is making me so mad. If your going to love Twilight promise me that you hate Taylor Lautner. He is not hot. To keep being a Harry Potter fan and like Twilight you have to love Robert Pattinson AKA Cedric Diggory. Twilight stole him you know.

So you fans of Harry Potter stay a true fan. To be a true fan you have to try to never read or watch any of the movies or books mentioned. Never betray Harry Potter. True Potter fans never quit. -I love hp

As many people here on the Harry Potter spot know, Sirius Black is my favorite character. He has always been and always will be. Some people, along with me, love him. Some hate him. Some don't have much of an opinion on him. I've decided that I want to explain why I like Sirius, and how I came to like him.

I saw HP 1-6 movies before reading any of the books. I remember loving Sirius, even before I read the books. I believe the reason I liked him at the time was the relationship he had with Harry. Harry never really had a father figure, and Sirius was the first family he had. I must have thought the relationship they made over such a short period of time was cute, as I still do. I actually adore their relationship now, and it is one of the reasons I was heart broken when Sirius died. In both the film, before I have ever read OOTP & again in the books. However, now there are so many more reasons why I love Sirius other than his relationship with Harry.

I look up to Sirius because of what he stand for. He stands for what he believes in, and he's not intimidated when someone bigger than him wants him to do something against his wishes. The Ancient House...

Sorcerer's Stone
The Mirror of Erised: Erised is Desire spelled backward, or how it would appear in a mirror. Also, the inscription reads "Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi," which read in a mirror reads, "I show not your face but your hearts desire." (Thanks, Kathryn)

They could hear footsteps, Filch running as fast as he could towards Peeves' shouts.
"Oh, move over," Hermione snarled. She grabbed Harry's wand, tapped the lock and whispered, "Alohomora!"
The lock clicked and the door swung open -- they piled through it, shut it quickly and pressed their ears against it, listening.
"Which way did they go Peeves?" Filch was saying. "Quick, tell me."
"Say 'please.'"
"Don't mess with me, Peeves, now where did they go?"
"Shan't say nothing if you don't say please," said Peeves in his annoying singsong voice.
Then, as you know, they turn around to face Fluffy who is glaring at them and about to attack. They were inside that room for quite a while listening to Peeves and Filch before they turned around to see Fluffy. Why didn't Fluffy attack as soon as they entered the room? Possibly because of Peeves'...

Be prepared for my long rant:

Harry&Ginny: Okay, so first I'd like to say that I do not believe Ginny even deserves Harry. She's undevolped. But I won't get into that too much. I don't think they belong together because:

-It was random
-They are not 'perfect' for each other because they haven't been there for each other
-She's a fangirl and used guys that Harry knew so he'd like her

My first point: Harry didn't care at all about what she did in book five. She was going out with Dean and Ron got mad, but Harry thought he was over-reacting. In book 6, however, he has a monster in his chest! Many supporters of this ship say because they spent time together. They spent probably TWO MONTHS together in summer. Sure, you could devolp a crush, but getting married after barely noticing them? The 'monster' in his chest was random and was no better than the 'whole' in Bella's chest in Twilight.
Before Harry liked her, they didn't even go through the same experiences. Yes, they fought at the DOM, but she wasn't there fully nor did she even know what was going on. Before this battle, she was always a tag along and she wasn't...

Hi everyone,
I'm not really a Harry Potter fan, but you see, a couple months ago I came across a website called "Always Astrology". It provides a description of the twelve zodiac signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces), Moon signs, and the planetary placements (I mean like Mercury signs, Venus signs). It also provided a free birth chart calculator. So after doing mine, I've pretty much been obsessed and had done charts for everyone I know, and every character that had a traceable birthday. And I had just done Harry's.

So in case anyone was interested;

Harry's Natal Chart

Sun in Leo

Sun in Leo individuals are proud, determined, strong-willed, loyal, solemn, generous, ambitious, courageous, heroic, conquering, creative, confident, seductive, happy, daring, fiery, majestic, honest, magnanimous, charismatic, responsible, noble, dramatic but also domineering, vain, susceptible, bossy, stubborn, intolerant, self-centred, violent, quick-tempered, nonchalant.

I found this on tumblr and knew I had to share. Just what JK envisioned for the characters that wasn't including in the epilogue.

"Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley. They had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. He became head of the Auror’s Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Ginny Weasley played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. After deciding to raise a family, she retired and became Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet.

Hermione Granger married Ron Weasely and had two children, Rose and Hugo. Hermione went back to Hogwarts and sat her NEWTS before working for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and helping house elves. She then moved to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where she eradicated pro-pureblood laws.

He’s back.

And Naperville was there to welcome him.

More than a thousand fans of the world’s favorite wizard gathered at Naperville’s AMC Showplace Theatre for the midnight premiere of “link” It is the first installment of a two-part film, based on the final book in the J.K. Rowling series.

Many in attendance had pre-purchased their tickets weeks ago and started arriving at the south Naperville cinema as early as 6 p.m. Thursday. An hour before the scheduled release, fans were seated in eight of the 16 theaters, and additional showings were scheduled for 3:15 a.m. Friday.

While striped scarves and scars were commonplace, many fans, like Krista Kellner, arrived in full costume.

“At the last midnight premiere, I was just a generic Harry Potter wizard,” said Kellner, 19. “But this time, it’s an ode to Dobby,” she said, dressed as the house elf. “I wanted to come as Dobby because he is a lesser- known character, but plays a really big role.”

Yesterday,when I woke up,I was distracted.
Today,as I sat in the Multiplex almost 62 kms away from my house,I felt a sense of relief and satisfaction wash over me.A movie with great graphic effects and lot more other factors,Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows;Part 1 is a must watch for all the Harry Potter fans.

There are certain parts in movie which moves you a lot, makes you laugh, cry and sometimes, you will be gripping the hands of your seats in anticipation.

I felt sad as I watched Hermione swipe her parents's memories.I also laughed alot when Mary Cattermole kissed Ron (disguised as her husband)and as she finished,Ron turned back to himself and the orginal Reg Cattermole was stagerring towards them.I remember stopping my breath through the whole chase scene with Voldemort and Harry when Harry is transported to the Burrow

But mostly,I found myself gripping the seats as I watched with anticipation for the next scene.
I could feel the character's emotions within me.

Ever since Twilight came out People have been Debating about which is better Rowling's Magical world of Harry potter or Stephanie's Vampire drama.People have been saying that Twilight is the new Harry potter but i really dont think so..
They have nothing in common exept they are both fantasy stories and I think that Harry Potter is better and here are my reasons
1:-In Harry Potter
the characters are more believable. They have flaws like us for example(Hermione's Hot tempered,Ron gets rude sometimes and Luna's Kind of weird ect)the twilight characters seem to be perfect in every way Edwards good looking ,he is really fast,Rich,Handsome, good in studies and what not?
2:-The Harry Potter stories were completely decided and carefully thought out from the start and that is why every thing tied together nearly whereas Stephanie continued writing Twilight because it was a money maker.
bella has many problems but she doesn't do anything to solve them she just sits there and cries and in Harry potter Harry has problems but he doesn't spend 20 pages worrying about them

No offense intented to anyone, and I love you J.K. Rowling and I love you to bits for giving us Barty Jr.'s character.

But I'm not too keen on finding out more about Jo's visions on Wormtail if she even has any. She seemed to totally hate him from the beginning to the very end. To have him as a plot device and didn't seem to care about him as a character at all.

She didn't give him any dignity or spine - (I recall only one moment wherein he shows bravery and good about himself; in order to pay back his life debt to Harry from the book three, in the book four he suggests to Voldemort that perhaps they could do the ritual without Harry. But when that naturally fails, he fails to do anything else about it and for the rest of the series he just slithers around until meets his patheric death.

And yes, she even had him die in such a pathetic way. I was so disappointed at his death as it is but I had also thought that because Jo didn't portray him as actually evil, and she kept him around throughout the books and had him remain in life debt to Harry, that he'd do something remarkably good and "redeeming" before the end. But no.

Spiders, a certain red head's worst enemy
Ron was sat in his bedroom reading some very interesting wizard comics when he spotted a very large spider stood just near his feet.
Ron got scared and he screamed like a little girl causing the whole family to come running into his bedroom.
"What's wrong Ron?"
"T-t-there's a spider near my feet, get it away" he said, shaking. The twins burst out laughing.
"Don't worry Ron, we'll get rid of the spider", he said to Ron.
"KILL IT, STUN IT, STOMP ON IT, ANYTHING AS LONG AS IT'S OUT OF MY WAY" screamed Ron, his face going red. Ginny giggled and went out of the bedroom.
"We're is dad going?" asked Ron nervously.
"Oh he's just gone to get something to get rid of the spider" replied Ginny. Two seconds later Mr. Weasley returned with a baseball bat. He gave it to the twins.
"Ok boys, ready to do the honours?"
"Yes sir" the twins said together. They lifted the baseball bat above the spider and then WHACK , the spider was crushed and Ron was saved. After his family left the room he picked up his wand and made the remains of the spider disappear.

Harry potter in a shopping centre nursery.
The Dursleys parked their car in the shopping centre and walked in, both discussing what to do with their nephew Harry Potter who was only four years old.
"We could put him in that nursery they've got in here" suggested Aunt petunia. Their four year old son Dudley was screaming.
"I WANT AN ICECREAM WAAAHHHH". Aunt Petunia knelt down to Dudley's level and put her hands on his shoulders.
"Don't worry sweetums, Mummsey will get you an icecream". Dudley wiped his snotty nose all over Uncle Vernon's trousers.
"Little tike" he chuckled lifting up Dudley onto his shoulders. Petunia grabbed Harry by the wrist and dragged him along following Vernon and Dudley.
When they got into the shopping centre the first place they stopped at was the nursery. Petunia grabbed a snotty nosed Harry by the shoulders.
"Right you little monster, you're going in there while we do some shopping" she said rather nastily.
"Can I have some Chocolate?" Asked little Harry.

RS: Hello!

BL: *growls*

RS: Do you mind if I use a quick-quotes quill?

BL: What’s that?

*fingers wand handle threateningly*

RS: Oh, nothing, erm, moving on…Can I call you Bella?

BL: No.

RS: How would you describe your relationship with the man known as Lord Voldemort

*Bellatrix turns pink, then regains composture*

BL: I am his most loyal follower! I, who spent years in Azkaban for him!

RS: Riiiiight, I’m sure that was a real big help, now-

Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley
I just want to state right away that J. K. Rowling is in no way sexist. This is about the fans and again, not all of them.

Ginerva Molly Weasley. The love of Harry Potter's life, the mother of his children. Headstrong, smart, cunning, quick-thinking, and fierce. The hero to many girls, young and old, and the object of affection to many boys out there as well.

Hermione Jane Granger. The love of Ron Weasley's life, the mother of his children. Also headstrong, smart, cunning, quick-thinking, and just as fierce, if only in a slightly different way. Hermione is possibly the most well-known of the trio, with the exception of Harry, because many girls dress like Hermione for Halloween, if a little...er...inappropriately.

Like many teenage girls, they were romantically involved with more than one boy.

Ginny was with three guys: Michael Corner, Dean Thomas, and of course, Harry Potter. Ginny dated Michael for about six-eight months, dated Dean for almost a year, and eventually married Harry.

Daniel Radcliffe was recently interviewed, regarding his and Helena's upcoming film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. During the interview, he was asked about working with Helena, and her portrayal of Emma Watson's character, Hermione. Read the interview below!

It's been revealed that the running time for next month's Harry Potter film is 147 minutes, making it the third longest Potter film to date. Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) answered some questions from fans about the film. Here's a transcript:

Question: What was it like playing the other characters for the Seven Potters scene?

Dan: It was.. bizarre. Some were easier than others to kind of impersonate. The actor Andy [Linden], who plays Mundungus, was kind of the easiest because he has a very [breaks up] way about him to imitate. But Rupert was very very difficult because Rupert's got – his walk. You wouldn't expect this about Rupert but you actually analyze it Rupert has a real wiggle in his hips when he walks. So he was one of the slightly trickier ones but it was great fun. I think it's gonna be a very funny – a very good scene as well because normally if...

I have a few friends that are Percy Jackson fanatics and we were discussing who was more evil that day, Kronos or Voldemort. I obiously chose Voldemort and all my other friends chose Kronos. Lost cause, right?
Anyway, one of my friends, she said that Kronos ate his children and Voldemort did not.
Oh yeah? Voldemort doesn't even understand love to marry someone in the first place or he would have murdered his child cold-blood the momend he/she was born. Eh?
What do you think?
The discussion didn't go on very long because, well, we found better things to talk about.

Boggart Snape
"So the boggart sitting in the darkness within has not yet assumed a form. He does not yet know what will frighten the person on the other side of the door. Nobody knows what a boggart looks like when he is alone, but when I let him out, he will immediately become whatever each of us most fears."
—Professor Lupin to his Third year class in 1993[src]

Boggarts are particularly fond of inhabiting certain places that are dark, such as in wardrobes, the gap beneath beds, and the cupboards under sinks and desks. On at least one occasion, a boggart was found hiding in a grandfather clock.
A boggart is a shape-shifting creature that takes on the form of the viewer's worst fear. When facing a boggart, it is best to have someone else along, to try to confuse it. Because of their shape-shifting ability, no one knows what a boggart looks like when it is alone, as it instantly changes when you first see it.

The charm that combats a boggart is Riddikulus. The charm requires a strong mind and good concentration. The incantation and wand movement alone will not affect a boggart. The correct way to perform the charm is to push past the fear, and...
