My only fanon ship in this fandom. The canon ships are OK, but I have a soft spot for the idea of Luneville.

I just think they were perfect for each other - JK Rowling missed an opportunity there

I ship Luna with Harry, Draco and Ginny and Neville with Ginny, Ron and Hermione but I was ok with the canon ships (I do wish we’d gotten to see more of their future spouses though). I don’t hate the idea of Neville/Luna, I’ve just never really cared about it/I don’t see it.

^^Maybe she just thought it'd be more realistic to have some characters marry people they hadn't met during their teenage years, or at least people they hadn't dated then, but knew people would want to be emotionally invested in the main characters' pairings so those had to be the ones we'd seen develop.
