Picture a teenaged boy, not the best academically, but not poor. Not the most attractive either, but a good amount of girls have a crush on him anyway, some due to the fact that he is good at sports. Rather cruddy home life, with two best friends, one girl and one guy, the girl being bookish and the boy being a bit of a slob.
This boy has a massive crush on a girl with long black hair who is also good at sports and is a year older. He harbors this crush for quite a while, going as far as to ask her out to a dance, but she says no....
So sheildmaiden wrote an article similar to this one(which was great!), and I decided to write one of my own and share my opinion of why I dont like Harry and Ginny. Hope you enjoy!
First off, I always thought Ginny liked "The Boy Who Lived" instaed of "Harry". Maybe I'm wrong, but I can never really remember her liking him for just him.
Second...how does Harry SUDDENLY like her? That's the main problem I always had with the relationship. I mean, he saw her as Ron's Little Sister, and in the Half Blood Prince, he sees her kissing Dean, and feels...
Rowling reveals truth about Harry, Hermione
Author J.K. Rowling has revealed shocking new details concerning the relationship that existed between characters Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. Despite what many fans had considered overwhelming evidence to the contrary, according to the author the two characters shared a deep, lasting romantic bond for years, and eventually got married (ditching their respective spouses). Mr. Potter, she also revealed in a copy of her much-anticipated Potter Encyclopedia, is the father to all of Ms. Granger's children. Rowling added:
Okay, I really thought people had gotten over this, but apparently not. It really angers me when people rate all the videos with ones. Honestly, it's a very immature way to express yourself. I've said it before and I'll say it again: we're open to everyone's opinion - start a forum topic!
Do not give ones to everything you see in this spot!
I understand the fact that most people don't like non-canon stuff, but c'mon. I think Fanpop needs to have some way to prevent people from rating a whole bunch of things in a row. Maybe there should be some sort of rating...
I wrote this article almost two years ago, after I'd seen the Dutch version of Jesus Christ Superstar. I found it while going through the archives of my LiveJournal and thought it might be interesting to post here. So keep in mind this is pre-Deathly Hallows.
I tried to explain how I saw the Harry/Ginny and Harry/Draco dynamics as neutral as possible, but me disliking H/G and shipping H/D HAS influenced this.
So I was looking on Facebook earlier and just saw an event posted declaring February 20th to be Harry Potter day! =D So this is for all Harry Potter fans to dress up on and show their pride and happiness that Voldemort has finally fallen. I find this to be a great way to keep the spirit of these amazing novels alive because even though we have limited Harry Potter releases left to celebrate, now we can celebrate every year on the 20th of February! I don't know why this date was chosen, but I have a pretty good idea of why it was chosen for this year. Also on February 20th, there will be a...
So I have been going through the videos and noticed that someone is giving most, if not all, a 1.0 rating in order to drive the ratings down. I thought this stuff was done guys! I thought all the hubbub about our spot existing and how ridiculous we are for creating it had died down! So once again, I and my fellow members of Harry Potter's Women are asking all of you Fanpoppers out there who have a problem with our spot to please leave us alone if you have nothing nice to say, add, or do here and to please respect our opinions. We have been respectful of your's by changing our spot icon and...
When I first read the scene where Harry spontaneously kisses Ginny in the Gryffindor Common room (Rowling 533), I had to reread it about ten times to believe that that had actually happened. The whole scene just didn’t seem right to me and at the time I couldn’t figure out why. The more I thought about it though, the more I wondered, “Where in the world did this relationship even begin?”
Let’s start at the beginning of their relationship in the second book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It can be easily seen that...
OK, so I've looked at the videos, links, etc. and they have all been given poor ratings. If you like H/G, that's cool, whatever, but I don't understand why you're coming to the Against H/G spot to give our stuff poor ratings. Anyway, I just wanted to get that out. I know that we are in the minority for not supporting H/G, but we're all entitled to our opinions! I don't go around to the H/G spot giving all the videos ones. Alright, that's all I'm going to say about it. Please comment and tell me how you feel about this (whether you support H/G or not).
In a recent interview with Her Wizardness, J. K. Rowling admits that Harry and Hermione "could have gone that way" because Hermione "shared something very intense with Harry."
Sorry I don't have the link to the actual interview... :(
