Grey's Anatomy has a new doctor coming to town.
I can exclusively reveal that former One Tree Hill star Hilarie Burton has signed on for a recurring guest role as a craniofacial specialist who visits the hospital to work on a case.
She'll make her debut in early May.
Sarah Chalke's Grey's role inspired by son's battale with deadly disease
Burton, who first became known for Peyton Sawyer on One Tree Hill after a stint as a host on MTV's Total Request Live, has had a recurring role as Matt Bomer's love interest on USA's White Collar.
Funny enough, Burton's real-life love is Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played heart transplant patient Denny Duquette on Grey's. After his character died, Morgan continued to play him when he appeared in the dreams of Katherine Heigl's Izzie.

"White Collar" star Hilarie Burton may love her role on the USA series, but she still feels nostalgic for her "One Tree Hill" days.

"We were kids when we started," she told TV Guide of "One Tree Hill." "And now it's just this warm feeling of, 'You're the only other person on the planet that knows what it's like to go through that. I miss Chad."

Luckily, Burton has a new on-screen love interest on "White Collar" to tide her over: Matt Bomer. "Matt has been a wonderful second chapter for me because Chad and I had done everything together until I was 27 years old, and that was a lot of work. So to come back and have this new love interest that I have really wonderful chemistry with and who I really love as a person has been nice."

Will Burton have to say goodbye to her new leading man anytime soon? Not according to TVLine.

"I consider 'White Collar' my home base," Bomer said. "I’m so lucky to get to play a character that’s very multifaceted and the writers take risks on and never get into a staid process with. They’re always challenging themselves and, thusly, me as an actor. As long as they continue to do that, I’m happy. I...

Hilarie! ♥
'I've never studied acting or anything because I've been so lucky with MTV. I'm convinced I got the chance to be on One Tree Hill because I did a guest thing on Dawson's Creek as myself, when the cast appeared at the MTV Beach House. And my only scene was with Chad Michael Murray. So, now the Chad and I are reunited. How bizarre is that?'

'Hugs Not Drugs'

'I was captain of my cheerleading squad in my high school, and I was president of my class and homecoming queen, but I was also into the dark stuff. I went through a weird stage just like Peyton is going through. I was totally into Boy George and David Bowie was my man. I loved androgyny. For a time, I would only wear men's trousers.'

'When I was on the red carpet at the VMA's as a contest winner, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears wouldn't stop to talk to me. You can actually see them blowing me off on camera! The next day on TRL, when Carson asked me about it, I said, "Whatever, they didn't win anyway". But my bosses thought it was hilarious. They showed the scenes of Christina blowing me off as one of the top moments on the TRL 'End-of-the-Year Countdown'! Well, a few months later at...

few weeks ago, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his baby-mama Hilarie Burton walked their first red carpet together in months. Hilarie gave birth to JDM’s son last year, although the whole thing was very hush-hush, and most people didn’t even know Hilarie was pregnant (much less “pregnant with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s baby”) at the time. The whole thing seems to be a sketchy situation, and I was honestly surprised that JDM and Hilarie were still together, two years after their relationship “overlapped” with JDM’s relationship with Mary-Louise Parker. Anyway, just to add an extra dash of weirdness, JDM and Hilarie refused to even confirm the gender of their baby for more than a year. But now that the kid is 20 months old, Jeffrey is finally talking about him:

It looks like actors Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan aren’t the only ones who can put on a good show. The parents of son Gus, 20 months, admit their “rowdy” baby boy is already giving them a run for their money.

I’ve always wanted to see a White Collar/Castle crossover and it looks like I’m an inch closer to my dream.
White Collar actress Hilarie Burton is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of ABC’s Castle, EW has learned. Burton, who also played Peyton on CW’s One Tree Hill for six seasons, will play Kay Cappuccio, a reality TV star with good looks, charisma, and a knockout bod. According to casting scoop, the tabloid darling has “achieved significant fame and fortune without possessing any discernible skill or talent” and “is famous mostly for being famous.” Sounds like someone we know… not that I’m naming names — because I already did in the headline.
The character, however, is more complex than some might think, as she both relishes the spotlight and “at the same time feels like a prisoner of her own celebrity lifestyle.”
Burton will appear in episode 13, “An Embarrassment of Bitches,” set to air in 2012.

We wish we could report that last night, Hilarie Burton told us at the Breaking Dawn premiere that she would be returning to One Tree Hill for the series finale, but alas, she still will be a no-show.

We asked Burton (who attended the premiere with beau Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, Weeds) where she thinks Peyton Scott would be now since driving off into the sunset with her hubby Lucas and their newborn baby.

"She's probably super pregnant with four or five," she tells us. "She's having a Lucas Scott little, I'm sure!"

That's an intense scenario, and Morgan definitely agreed. "She's pregnant with four?" he asks his lady. "Or she's already had three and is pregnant with the fourth?"

"I mean, maybe. They started really young. She's southern," Burton reasons. And now we have our answer to why Peyton isn't coming back to Tree Hill with her man. She's stuck in bed with quadruplets.

"Four at the same time is a lot. That's like Octomom s--t," Morgan laughs. "It's gotta be big enough that she's got to be laid up in bed," Burton adds.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan who is busy shooting for ‘Magic City’ tells Ian Spelling about his career plans

Air? Who needs to come up for air? Certainly not Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The actor has wrapped four films that will have been released by the end of 2011: The Resident, Texas Killing Fields, Peace, Love & Understanding and The Courier. The long-delayed Red Dawn remake will finally open in 2012, as will The Possession. And right now Morgan is shooting an upcoming cable-television series entitled Magic City.

‘’I spent a lot of years doing nothing but breathing air and not working,’’ the actor says. ‘’So, when everything took off in 2005, I sort of grabbed onto it and I’ve not let go. I have got white knuckles trying to hold onto what’s going on right now, but I have been lucky enough to go from project to project, and to do different projects, completely different characters. It’s been a mix.

‘’It’s been a lot,’’ Morgan continues, ‘’but I don’t know what else to do now. You’re not going to see pictures of me in Hawaii with my girlfriend and kid. I...

After winning an audience award at Sundance for teen thriller “To.get.her,” director Erica Dunton is turning her attention to “Plastic Jesus,” an indie written by Bryan Bertino and starring “Twilight Saga” moppet Mackenzie Foy and Chandler Canterbury.

Production is under way in North Carolina on the coming-of-age story in the vein of “Stand By Me,” which follows three small-town kids who encounter mystery, loss and hope. Foy and Canterbury play the two young leads, while Paul Schneider and Hilarie Burton (“One Tree Hill”) will play their parents.

Indie fixture Joshua Leonard (“Higher Ground”) co-stars alongside Bryce Hurless.

Bertino, whose last produced script was the 2008 sleeper hit “The Strangers,” produces with Adrienne Biddle under their Unbroken Pictures banner along with Heather Rae (“Frozen River”) and Stephanie Caleb, while Global Creative’s Christopher Rockwell will co-produce.

Rae recently produced another coming-of-age indie, Leah Meyerhoff’s “Unicorns,” a Sundance Lab finalist and IFP grant winner

There are a lot of interesting developments during this Tuesday’s episode of White Collar (USA Network, 9/8c), and Hilarie Burton is here to tell us about a few of them – provided she can stop raving about her castmates. “They’re such a generous group of people, and that’s something that should be put out there,” she shares. “They’re just genuine, and when it’s real like that you want to scream it from the rooftops and maBurton indeed has much to cheer about , more than two years after bidding the role of One Tree Hill‘s Peyton adieu. In addition to getting upgraded this season to series regular on one of cable’s hottest dramas – where she gets to “roll around” with Matt Bomer – off-screen her relationship with beau Jeffrey Dean Morgan (of Supernatural and Starz’s upcoming Magic City, which she says is “awesome “) is going strong, as they raise the son they had together over a year ago. Also, her North Carolina-based production company is continuing to gain traction. In fact, I couldn’t help but start off our conversation with Burton by noting….ke sure everybody knows.”

In this new season of White Collar, Neal Caffery (Matt Bomer) has the biggest score of art (originally stolen by Nazis) and a new woman in his life, Sara Ellis played by Hilarie Burton, an insurance investigator who was once after Caffery and assisted the White Collar Division throughout Season 2. Burton finds her character caught between continuing her professional relationship with Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) or be loyal to con man who she now shares a passionate connection with. Burton spoke with BuzzFocus on a conference about her character and Season 3.

To start the new season, Sara is assertive and is not intimidated by his relationship with Alex or his past. She called Neal a “damn good con man,” clearly not afraid by the danger than Neal may bring her. She may even be excited by and drawn to it. But Sara continues to dig into Neal’s past and relationships like any smart woman would.

Aside from the very obvious physical attraction, could believing Neal might be on the straight and narrow explain why Sara opens herself up to a relationship with him? At the same time, how might she perceive him if she finds out he plans to steal the art and leave...

One Tree Hill may not have seen the last of Lucas and Peyton after all.

At a press conference following The CW’s upfront presentation on Thursday, network honchos expressed confidence that Chad Murray and Hilarie Burton would be back for the soap’s’s just-announced ninth and final season.

“[New CW boss] Mark Pedowitz is going to talk with them,” the network’s outgoing preisdent Dawn Ostroff told TVLine. “I don’t think anything has been done yet, but now that everybody knows that this is the final 13 episodes… ”

“… that makes it more possible as far as cast members coming back,” Pedowitz added.

As TVLine previously reported, an effort to lure the duo back for this week’s season finale failed. “Quite frankly, we just couldn’t make a deal,” exec producer Mark Schwahn explained at the time. “Hilarie now has a child and a family, and she’s doing some nice work [on USA's White Collar, where Burton is now a series regular]. Chad was working on a movie (The Haunting In Georgia) down in Louisiana, and there were dates we were trying to work around, but it’s tricky when you try to line up all...

Are One Tree Hill alums Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray open to returning to the CW show?

"I'm never ever gonna say never," Burton told TVGuide.com on the USA upfront red carpet in New York on Monday night. "I love that crew so much, I miss them and Wilmington."

Burton, who was recently made a series regular on USA's White Collar, originally starred as Peyton Sawyer while Murray played Lucas Scott on One Tree Hill. The two left the series at the end of Season 6.

One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Galeotti sign on for Season 9

Regardless of whether the longtime series regular will reunite with her Tree Hill castmates, Burton is very much in favor of the show continuing on without her.

"I fully endorse a ninth season of One Tree Hill, I completely support that show continuing on," she says.

While the future of the show has yet to be decided, last week series stars Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Austin Nichols, Robert Buckley, Jana Kramer and Lisa Goldstein, all signed on for a possible ninth season.

It appears there will be many more “stolen” moments between Neal Caffrey and Sara Ellis: USA Network’s White Collar is promoting the utterly awesome Hilarie Burton to series regular for Season 3, TVLine has learned exclusively.

At the time she lensed her very first White Collar episode, Burton shared her wish for her recurring role to turn into something longterm. As she put it, series leads Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay “are so sincere in their generosity and their kindness, I’d stay forever, man.”

White Collar‘s Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer Prove Their Chemistry Is No Con

Having previously called One Tree Hill home, Burton joined the USA series as a top-shelf insurance investigator who considers Neal to be “the one that got away” — meaning, ahem, a thoroughly elusive art thief. But over the course of Burton’s Season 2 appearances, Sara and Neal have reached a sort of professional détente, with her even joining “Burke’s Seven” for an intricate con that kicked off the show’s wintertime run.

Sara Ellis, whom we met late in the first half of White Collar’s [USA, Tuesdays, 10/9C] current season, is a no-nonsense insurance investigator who does whatever it takes to close a case. If that means going to extra-legal lengths, then that’s fine.

Recently I had the opportunity to take part in a teleconference call with Hilarie Burton, the actor who plays Ellis. Burton, it turns out is both voluble and witty – when she’s finished answering a question, it stays answered! It’s easy to see that she’s having a good time in her recurring role on White Collar and that sense of fun is present in call.

Hello, Hilarie, thanks for doing this.

Hilarie Burton: Hi. I was waiting to be able to say hi to everybody. This is the most organized thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Well, they do try. Ever since Sara was introduced last season, we’ve gotten the impression that she is easily as smart as Peter and Neal. I get the feeling based on what we’ve seen so far that she is capable of being considerably more ruthless than either of them. Would that be a fair assessment, do you think, and could you speak to that?

During a conference call talking about her upcoming return to USA’s White Collar, Burton was asked about the possibility of her returning to One Tree Hill, which she starred on for five seasons as Peyton Sawyer (later Peyton Scott). Sadly for fans, she has no intention of returning. She said that while she has “a fondness for that part of my life” and that she stays in contact with the people she met on the show, her personal life doesn’t fit with flying across country to be on the show abd she doesn’t have the time for it anymore. So don’t expect to see Peyton at Brooke’s upcoming wedding.

!’s Watch with Kristin blog reported late on Friday that the couple formerly known as Leyton will probably be returning to One Tree Hill before Season 8 is through. The original plan was to bring them back for Brooke’s (Sophia Bush) two-episode wedding (planned to air sometime during the first 13 episodes of the season), but now that The CW has ordered six additional scripts, Murray and Burton might return closer to the season (series?) finale. Show creator Mark Schwahn also told E! that bringing other characters back would not be out of the question, so Dear Mr. Schwahn, we'll take more of Karen (Moira Kelly) and Jake (Bryan Greenberg), please!

On one hand, this news could not come at a better time for the show, which has been in a slump since Murray and Burton left at the end of Season 6. On the other hand, lots of former fans think One Tree Hill should have quit while it was ahead, and bringing Murray and Burton back might just seem desperate. It could also make for some on-set awkwardness—Murray didn't exactly leave on great terms, and he's Sophia Bush’s ex-husband.

Still nursing that Chad Michael Murray-shaped hole in your heart? Well, snap out of it, sistah!

We've got some scoop straight from a solid One Tree Hill source (as well as some insight on CMM and Hilarie Burton's impending return from series mastermind Mark Schwahn) that will cure those Lucas and Peyton-missing woes—mainly because you won't be missing them much longer. Wait, is that a squee we hear?

According to our source, the plan is for Chad and Hilarie to be back in Tree Hill this season. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but we're hearing that the original plan was to have the happy family (baby in tow) return for Brooke's (Sophia Bush) two-episode wedding, during OTH's original 13-episode order. But now that six additional scripts have been picked up, the Scott clan's return may happen later.

Mark recently revealed to us that everyone over on OTH is game for a Leyton return. "If schedules don't work [for Brooke's wedding], maybe we'll bring back Chad and Hilarie at a later date," he said. "If we get a full season maybe at the end of the journey, but those two characters are a big part of this world. We've talked about it, and...

Daemon’s TV recently got a chance to talk with Hilarie Burton about her upcoming six-episode arc on USA’s WHITE COLLAR. With her first episode airing on Tuesday, August 10 at 9pm, she had plenty to dish about her character, Sara Ellis, an insurance investigator, who has a past with Neal and Peter.

Hilarie Burton talked about coming back to television after taking a year off, her experience working on ‘White Collar,’ what’s coming up for her character, the previously talked about possible romance between her character and Neal, and much more. So enjoy the interview and don’t forget to watch White Collar on Tuesdays at 9pm on USA.

You mentioned that you were a fan of the show beforehand. I’m guessing it’s exciting to be now on it.

Hilarie Burton: Yes. It’s a show that’s really smart. I like the procedural crime shows overall. I went to college and was interested in psychological forensics. I thought I was going to chase serial killers for a minute. So I like the TV shows where you don’t actually have to do the dirty work because it’s a really depressing profession. But the shows like ‘Criminal Minds’ and...

"One Tree Hill" fans were relieved to hear that The CW picked up the show's back nine episodes, allowing for a full Season 8 -- good news, especially considering the fact that it may be the veteran drama's last hurrah.

Star Sophia Bush recently revealed via Twitter, "This is the last season anyone is contracted for. I don't want to break any hearts, I just want to be honest with you guys. I guess we'll see!"

Zap2it spoke with original "One Tree Hill" cast member Hilarie Burton, who left the show along with Chad Michael Murray in 2009, after the Season 6 finale. We couldn't resist asking her whether she'd consider making a return to Tree Hill if, indeed, this is the final season.

"I'll be perfectly honest with you. I haven't been asked," she says. "But if they wanted me, I love Wilmington and I love 'One Tree Hill.' I always will. The ball's not in my court."

Burton will next be seen in a guest arc on "White Collar," and as a hard-working actress and a new mother -- she and boyfriend Jeffrey Dean Morgan recently had a baby -- her schedule isn't exactly wide open. "I don't know, contractually, what I'm allowed to do, because I'm...

New mom Hilarie Burton (formerly of One Tree Hill) is breaking her silence -- just a tad -- about the baby boy she and boyfriend Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Watchmen) secretly welcomed earlier this year.

As first revealed in Us Weekly in May, Burton, 28, began dating Morgan, 44, in 2009, and "their relationship moved pretty quickly," an insider told Us. The actress was not photographed in public between May 6, 2009 and April 20, 2010, when she and Morgan went public with their romance at an L.A. film premiere.

Now back at work to film episodes of USA's series White Collar in NYC, Burton told the Associated Press recently that she and Morgan are "really happy, and we're a very good team. And we got very lucky that our family is what it is."

But Burton still would not tell the AP the name of their son or his birth date.

"I want to protect them like a mama wolf should," she explained of her new family.

What will you be doing tonight at 9 PM EST? Starpulse suggests turning on USA and watching the second season premiere of their hit show White Collar. USA brought Starpulse behind the scenes for a day to meet the cast, ask them about what’s coming ahead, and see the sets in person. A panel of journalists got to speak with Tim DeKay (Peter Burke), Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey), Marsha Thomason (Diana Lancing), Sharif Atkins (Clinton Jones), upcoming guest star Hilarie Burton (Sara Ellis), writer Matt Negrete, and costume designer Stephanie Maslansky. Then we got to wander the set and see Neal’s penthouse apartment, the FBI office, and a gambling area for an upcoming episode. Here’s a close look at where White Collar left off at the end of last season, and then some of the questions asked of the cast by Starpulse.

Chelsea Doyle: Now Neal and Sara have a past, what’s that about?

Hilarie Burton: You know they have a—I don’t know how much I’m allowed to give away. Nothing. I’m not going to give anything away. But it seems that Neal has a past with everybody and I feel very fortunate to be one of the woman that he has crossed paths with, whether...

Hilarie Burton had plenty to cry about on ‘One Tree Hill.’ To name just a few sad ordeals: Her character, Peyton, saw her adoptive and birth mothers die, got shot herself, and endured a harrowing pregnancy.

“We ran the gamut,” Burton says. “Anything that you can think of, we did.”

Burton now is relishing the chance to run the gamut herself, playing a tough-as-nails insurance investigator on the new season of USA Network’s red-hot ‘White Collar‘ (premiering July 13).
This character doesn’t cry, and I’m really excited about that,” Burton says with a laugh. “As soon as things started going good for Peyton, I left the show. So if you want to see me having a good time and being quick-witted, this is the place to do it.”\
Burton describes her ‘White Collar’ alter ego, Sara Ellis, thusly: “If somebody steals a really expensive car, she’s the repo man.” The specific scenario that brings her onto the show’s canvas is unfinished business with renowned con man Neal Caffrey (played by Matt Bomer).

This odd pairing seems to be making the rounds these days. According to Perez Hilton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who has exceptionally played John Winchester on Supernatural, as well as Denny Duquette on Grey's Anatomy and Judah Botwin on Weeds, was spotted with former One Tree Hill actress Hilarie Burton at the movie premiere of The Losers at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Tuesday in Los Angeles, California.

The rumored couple has yet to confirm the news, but reports have been rampant around the web that Morgan and Burton, who played Peyton Sawyer on the CW drama, are in a relationship. Not surprisingly, though, is the disapproval of fans, particularly supporters of the Supernatural actor.

Morgan previously dated his former Weeds costar Mary-Louise Parker from December 2006 to June 2007 before reconciling and getting engaged to her in February 2008 only to break up again a month later.

On the other hand, Burton, who is 17 years Morgan's junior, was married in 2004 to One Tree Hill assistant director Ian Prange. The two have since divorced.
