Freaks is a 1932 pre-code horror film directed by Tod Browning, a former circus contortionist. It stared real life sideshow freak performers and the original version was considered too shocking for audiences, it would be decades before it gained notoriety as a cult classic.
The plot follows the scheming mission of a beautiful trapeze artist named Cleopatra, who, on learning of the inheritance of the sideshows midget, decides to marry him and ultimately run off with her lover Hercules, the sideshows strong man.
On a stormy night, all the freaks join forces and transform Cleopatra in the Feathered...

i am a huge fan of horror movies. i was 5 when i snuck into the living room and saw my first kill(in a horror movie)Ever since then, i've been a major fan of horror and scary movies.

10)pet semetary-im not a huge fan of horror movies that have animals doing the killings, but this one gave my the creeps when watching it.

9)the saw series-i love all these movies a lot. they are so weird yet so gross that you just want to watch more.

8)the wrong turn series-i love the fact that this could actually happen to people. the blood and guts makes it also very disturbing and good.

Hi, some of you may know me as sapherequeen, but I had to create a new account for myself.
You see, 2 days ago I changed my password to something I do not remember at all, so the next day when I had to sign in, I couldn't. Fanpop did send me a temporary password, but the email address that receives this password was deleted a long time ago. So I basically had no other choice but to create a new account.
I know this is totally random, but I just wanted to let people know why my screenname may seem a little different when I start putting more contributions here.
Well, that's all :)

Sincerely,
Ciera aka sapherequeen
Number one
The Descent, 2005
I love this movie because unlike some movies, it starts out with killing. It also has Drama, like the afair between Juno and Oliver, which left Sarah mad. When these Women come across the crawlers in the cave that they'er trapped in, I liked to see that the crawlers were carnivors and that they liked to eat flesh. The only thing that I was not happy to see, is that they cut the ending in the U.S, unlike in the U.K. Of corse since I liked the movie that Much, I quikly went to see the ending.

Number two
Friday the 13th series
I liked these movies because they were both funny and scary at the same time, At first, the first one was very comfusing for me, but as usual in scary movies, in the end, it always makes sence. I liked the fact that Jason's mother was the one killing people, and that she was pretty much crazy. I also liked how, in every movie, they just kept on coming back to camp crystal lake/ camp forest green.
I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but I haven't quite come up with the best way HOW to do it and I finally figured it out. Here's what we're going to do:

link, and of course everyone has seen them. They are compiled based on user ratings of the film. So I thought what a great idea it would be to have the Fanpop users in this spot make their own! IMDB & Fanpop have a little bit of a different demographic between each other so this should be really interesting. If you would like to participate, please read the small list of rules I have below! :)

I originally posted this on IMDB's board for "Pet Sematary".

The kind that includes utterly disturbing and dark themes and images such as Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" or Wes Craven's "Nightmare on Elm Street". And by children I now mean people between ages 3-12. (I suppose 2-year olds would be too young to have any attention span to watch a movie.)

Yes, I know that young children do not necessarely get serious psychological issues from watching whatever horror, some may not even get nightmares. And I know children love horror. But there are so many possibilities in the genre that it...

47 Meters Down is a 2017 British survival horror film directed by Johannes Roberts, and starring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. It was released on June 16, 2017.

I just got back from seeing this and WOW! All I have to say is wow. Let's just dive (pun intended) right in to my review. This will contain no spoilers.

The film starts out with sisters Lisa (Mandy Moore) and Kate (Claire Holt) on vacation in Mexico. Within 5 minutes, we know that Lisa's deadbeat of a boyfriend Stuart dumped her because she wasn't fun enough for him and he was bored with their relationship. Lisa is still pining for him...

It is a 2017 American supernatural horror film based on Stephen King's 1986 novel of the same name and directed by Andy Muschietti starring Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. It opened September 8, 2017.

This review will contain NO spoilers.

It's important to note that while this could be seen as a remake of the 1990 Miniseries, it's actually a re-adaptation of Stephen King's original book IT. So while I may reference the miniseries now an again, during this article...

Dear Reader,
Almost every single scary movie is the exact same, pretty girl, hot guy, nerd, out siders, they team up or hate each other. Pretty girl usually dies its boring! I mean scary movie watchers are getting to where they can predict the whole movie by the first death and get it right! And when you know whats gonna happen it's no longer scary. There are few newer scary movies where the watcher actually doesn't know whats gonna happen and if you know any please tell me.

Everyone is familiar with the usual branches of horror: Jump Scares, Torture Porn, Psychotic Slasher, Unspeakable Evil, Domineering Villainy etc. Yet in today's current media stream we are slowly seeing the demise of one of the greatest mediums of the horror genre. Psychological. Now, I know some of you know what this genre is but to those who do not it is based on the emotional and psychological aspect of the main character/characters by either exploiting or twisting them in ways that drive them to a fine breaking point. From films such as "Jacobs Ladder" to even video games such as "System...

The Questions:

1. Whats you ALL time favorite Horror movie
Oh man! That is one of the toughest questions I can be asked these days! I cannot have just one, so some that might be my absolute favorite are The Uninvited, The Skeleton Key, The Others or Feast. I see so many movies that it is very hard to choose! :)

2. Whats your favorite character from a horror movie & what is the movie the character is from?
Slashers and villains aside, my favorite character might be Hot Wheels...

So, I've been on Fanpop for about a year and 3 months or so now and in that time, I think I have only written maybe 1 or 2 articles so I'm not really familiar with these. But I had been thinking about doing this for awhile in this spot, and since it's 1 am it's the perfect time! I always come up with the best ideas when I'm supposed to be sleeping. So anyway, here is my list of top 10 favorite horror movies. They might include some spoilers, so beware.

One
A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984

I love this movie SO much! It's so weird because Halloween used to be my favorite horror movie, but upon...

1.Strange Noises:
As long as there are horror movies, there will be strange noises emerging from dark places. And as long as there are strange noises, there will be idiots who walk carelessly into the darkness to investigate them. Nine times out of 10, we refer to these people as "victims." This is a particularly mindless cliche, one which defies all sensible logic for the sake of racking up a body count. There isn't a circumstance in the world in which you'd convince a terrified teenager that exploring some bizarre clattering in the depths of a shadowy haunted house is in any way a worthwhile...

WARNING:This is just some stupid joke article which you really should not waste your time on.

Over the years I have seen countless horror movies. Everything from "Nightmare On Elm Street" to "Child's Play." From "IT" to "The Exorcist" And so on and so forth. If you don't wanna sit through a 2 hour flim here are the main points you might pick up in a horror movie.

1)Don't take your eyes off a murder. They move at the speed of light.

2)Just cause it's small doesn't mean its not deadly.

3)Yell "Help" all you want. No one will save you.

4)Girls never wear bras in horror movies. It just isn't done.

5)Never...

I am a fun of horror remakes strangely, I enjoyed Halloween and Nightmare on elms street almost to near perfection , the Evil Dead was em was just Okay-ish! It had a good metascore of 7.2 from IMDB so I knew it was worth seeing , which it wasn’t frankly. The plot has been done many times over and over since its original so you would have that deja vu cliche feeling hanging around you. The story line in the beginning was not so clear but it made up for it with its superficial gore that kept me tuned whilst it sent some shrills down my spine. The dismemberment of the limbs was a little “SAW”...
