Ok, so I'm lazy and this is my first article, so bear with me here (lol). I was in the car, just kind of sitting there, when I had memories of 8th grade and for some reason, I remembered when we were studying Elements of a Story. Now, our teacher always pushed us on the climax, or turning point, of the story. She would always tell us: "Ok, so you have two scenes of a story: the guy gets into a fight and the guy gets shot. Which one is the climax?" Now, she would always get different answers. Half the class said fight, the other half said shot. The answer was shot. Why? Because at that point, there was no turning back. The climax is the point where it changes the story in an irreversible way. If the guy got into a fight, he could always have just maybe walked away or apologized. Once the guy got shot, there was no turning back. There was no way to just take it back. It had an irreversible twist on the story.

Now, you may ask yourselves, why the hell are you telling me this? Well, when I was in the car thinking about this I asked myself: What was the climax in House? And then my mind jumped to the kiss. There was no undoing that. He can't just "un-kiss" Cuddy. It changes the story completely. Their feelings are now different. Their behavior is now different. The way they work is different. It changes the whole show/story.

Now, you may disagree with me on this but hold on one second. It was then that I also realized that there was a second climax. I had momentarily forgotten about the whole reason why House was what he is now: Stacy's decision when he was in a coma. That ALSO changed everything. Although it was technically before the show started, it changed absolutely everything. House broke up with Stacy and became what he is today. Whatever affects House in a huge way, affects the story in a huge way. There was no way of undoing Stacy's decision once the procedure was complete. It is also, an irreversible turning point. Now, I'm just wondering something: Is it possible to have 2 climaxes? We can agree that both occurrences are irreversible, right?
Also, notice that the only two people that were capable to really change Greg House and therefore the show were Stacy Warner and Lisa Cuddy. Both are strong women and similar yet different in many ways. Also notice that (and don't take this as bashing of any kind) not Foreman, nor Chase, nor Cameron, nor Kutner, nor Thirteen, nor Taub nor anyone else was able to change Greg House and the show in the way that Stacy and Cuddy have. Stacy doing it before the show technically started and Cuddy during the show's present time line.

So, this is once again my first article and it may be pretty crappy (lol), but any comments (as long as they don't involve bashing) are welcome. :)
