I had wrote this article about the relationship between Robin Scherbatsky and Barney Stinson over three years . . . during mid-Season Seven:
"HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" AND THE NOT-SO-GREAT ROBIN/BARNEY LOVE FEST
I am tired of the Robin Scherbatsky/Barney Stinson (Cobie Smulders/Neil Patrick Harris) saga. I really am. They have practically dominated Season Seven of CBS's "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" with a romance that seemed to be force-fed by the series' creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, in order to satisfy the certain shippers.
Let me just start off by saying that I always LOVED Barney and Robin, but I was really impressed when they got divorced. Not by the characters, but by the writers of the show. Usually I don't bother to look behind the curtain, but after they got divorced I started giving a little more credit to them. I really wanted Robin and Barney to get together, I was rooting for them the entire time. And they did. And didn't. Even so, it wasn't a breakup, it was a marriage that ended on good terms and a mutual agreement that it wasn't working. The reason that I give the...
"HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: ENDING ON CONTROVERSY"
The CBS television series, "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" (2005-2014), ended its nine season run on March 31, 2014. Television audiences usually greet television finales either with great satisfaction or with equal contempt. Instead of one or the other, the television series created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas proved to be not only divisive, but also controversial. And romance for the series' main character, Ted Mosby, ended up being the center of that controversy.
It all started in the year of 2005
When the world was blind, without being able to see
Although it began a delayed time for me
I knew in my heart it was so much more
Then anything I had witnessed before
The moments went by me, I was so naïve and in doubt
I just assumed our memories we share would continue to endlessly grow.
But now I look back and sit around and pout,
That the time went by like a blanket you would sew
Starting slow and seeming endless at first
We were ready to say goodbye to HIMYM and the gang this season. We were all ready to finally find out who the mother of Ted Mosby's children is. We were waiting for something LEGENDARY. But it looks like we may get another season of How I Met Your Mother to find out! CBS has confirmed that they have renewed the show for one more season this fall. The show was going to come to a close this year as it was doubtful whether or not they could get the entire cast to return. But after negotiating all the contracts, it looks like the whole gang is coming back for one last hurrah!
1. Lesbian Robin.....
Robin's doppleganger was not shown on Himym properley but it basically just looked like Robin with cropped hair and a dirty face she was carrying a baseball if I remember correctly and also a checked shirt and washed out jeans and old (maybe men's) trainers Barney, Lily, Ted , Marshall and Robin all saw lesbian Robin at the same time it seems according to Season 5 episode "Double Date" she was just casually walking along the street and spitting on the floor.
Kids, you know your Uncle Barney; Scotch, money and women. Those three words pretty much summed up his life. He couldn't ask for a better life. Little did he know, he was about to get a rude awakening. You see, he had grown accustomed to this cycle, a carousel, if you will. It spun round and round until his life was completely changed by..."The Coach".
An unforgiving canopy of charcoal clouds hung above New York. They seemed detrimental; yearning to release their stockhold of transparent liquid....
ARTICLE 1: Chicks before dicks. The bond between two women is stronger than the bond between a man and a woman because, on average, women are more willing and able to commit than men. Unfortunate for our love lives, but true.
ARTICLE 2: A Chick is always entitled to do something wild, as long as the rest of her Side-Chicks* are all doing it. For example: partaking in "WOOO!"-ing.
ARTICLE 3: A Chick never divulges the existence of the Chick Code to a man. It is a sacred document not to be shared with guys for any reason...no, not even that...
