There was some strong turbulence during the descending due to a snow storm. Lisa had been tightening her grip around Hugh’s hand. Then the plane arrived to Newark International Airport. The captain turned off the seat belt sign and Hugh and Lisa had already gathered their stuff. They walked of the plane as if nothing ever
happened. As if they holding hands was the most normal thing to do.
After they passed through immigration and picked up only one suitcase that contained Hugh’s winter clothes. He took out his puffy jacket and put it on.
“You’re gonna die of heat.” Lisa said. She was only wearing a dark blue sweater with some black jeans and a nice pair of stilettos.
“No you’re gonna die of cold. Did you see outside the window? It’s snowing.”
“Who cares, here in Jersey all places have heating system. Don’t they do the same in London?”
“Damn, talking about London I should call Jo.”
They kept on walking as Hugh took out his phone and dialed Jo’s number. Lisa pretended not to be offended when he mentioned Jo and noticed David who was waiting with Katie. Lisa pulled Hugh’s arm, he followed Lisa.
“Hey Hugh, how was the flight?” David asked winking his eye. Lisa raised an eyebrow and turned to see Hugh who had already hang up. Hugh was confused as well, why did he wink his eye?
“It was fine David, thanks for asking.”
“Where’s the rest of the cast?” Lisa asked looking around.
“Oh I send them to their villas. Ready to go?” Lisa and Hugh nodded simultaneously. They went outside to the parking lot where a Hummer was waiting. It was freezing cold and the snow didn’t stop falling, they could notice how the snow was building up in the sides of the streets. Lisa was the first to enter the van and Hugh followed David went on front.
“So David, are we gonna shoot with this weather?” Hugh said taking of his enormous jacket that was already covered with snow.
“No, tomorrow they say it will be a clear day. Tomorrow we will shoot and today we will only rehearse.” Hugh nodded and noticed that Lisa was looking outside the window, she was not smiling. That was weird she would always smile at the slightest thing and especially since it was snowing. It was a beautiful scenery, trees whose leaves had fall over the autumn and they were beginning to be covered by snow.
“Is everything ok?” Lisa turned to Hugh. She nodded and went back to look outside the window. Now that Hugh remembered in the flight Lisa was really quiet too. Something had to be wrong with her. Hugh wanted to hold her hand again and tell her that whatever it was, it was going to be ok but he couldn’t. Not in front of David.
I know I know. Lisa is gonna be fine don't worry... Next chapter is in the hotel!!!
