“You have to be kidding me. I think the fall made your head bounce and-“
“But it felt real.” Calum, Sean and Lisa were sitting around Lise’s table.
“Well feel is really different from being real.” Sean said.
“Maybe it was just a hallucination.” Lise said.
“Well whatever it was, you have to go to a doctor.” Sean stood up from his chair and went to the kitchen to use Lise’s phone.
“What did you see?” Calum eyes had been following Sean’s body, he turned to face Lise.
“Huh?”
“Yeah, what did you see in the,” she thought for a second, “in the thing?”
“Thing? Nice description.” He smiled as he raised his hand and put it on top the table cloth. He was deflecting, even his gaze was avoiding Lise’s eyes. He had committed a big mistake when saying what he had seen. Lise recognized this.
“You can trust me. I won’t judge you.” To prove even more her point she placed a hand in his and curled her fingers with his. He didn’t flinch at her touch, he was used to be around her. Things were really natural among them although that was rare, that wasn’t the way human relationships were, not when he had only known her for 6 years.
“It was weird.” He began telling, his gaze still not connecting with her eyes. “There were a lot of cameras and microphones, persons surrounding me, I held a cane but I felt I could walk norma,ll but I couldn’t move. Someone yelled cut and you moved away from me.” Lise raised an eyebrow at him.
“I was in your thing?”
“Weird right? We were older, but it wasn’t the future, I could feel something in me was different. I felt like I was another person.”
“Oh God! Stop it right there or the tears won’t hang a second more.” Sean mocked as he sweep an invisible tear from his cheek. Hugh withdrew his hand from Lise’s grip.
“Let’s go before I really start crying, shall we?” Calum nodded and Lise stood up. The three of them walked outside and got into Sean’s car.
