It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Paddys Dollars...

this idea would have worked to perfection had Mac and Dennis made Paddys Dollars more like a coupon, with an expiration date, and maybe even limits on to what could be purchased with it. Like limiting it to beer. Or cheap drinks like Rum and Cokes or Screw Drivers. Maybe even some kinda pre-made punch. Sorta like a "Dollar Menu" for the bar. Then only give out one or two per adult. That gets people into the bar and drinking. Some of those people will want to drink more after a drink or two, and will pay for the subsequent drinks.

Obviously, you dont spend all of your money on a promotional scheme, thats just dumb. They could have gotten by with a stack of 50. That wouldn't have cost them more than $50 even if they were the fanciest.

The D&B idea doesn't work at Paddys because Paddys is just a bar, there are no games or food, just drinks, and so people are not gonna convert regular dollars into Paddys dollars just to buy drinks. Thats too much of a hassle, they'll just drink at the Korean establishment up the street.
