Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (born July 8, 1998) is an American child actor, rap artist, dancer, and the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. His breakthrough role was in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness, and he has also starred in the remakes of The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Karate Kid.

Career
Smith made his film debut in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness as Christopher, the son of Will Smith's character, Chris Gardner.[1] For his role, Smith won the award for the Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. At the 79th Academy Awards, Smith presented the awards for the Best Animated Short and the Best Live Action Short, along with acting nominee Abigail Breslin. Smith next appeared in the 2008 Keanu Reeves remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still,[1] starring as Jacob.

In 2010, Smith starred in The Karate Kid, a remake of the 1984 film.[2] Smith rapped alongside Canadian singer Justin Bieber in the song "Never Say Never".[3]

Personal life
Smith was born in Malibu, California. He is the half-brother of Trey Smith. Along with his younger sister Willow, he is homeschooled.[4] Smith is of African-American, West Indian, Creole, and Portuguese Jewish ancestry.[5]

Smith, along with his sister, Willow, are youth ambassadors for Project Zambia in conjunction with the Hasbro corporation-which helps children orphaned by AIDS in Africa.[6]

Smith also practices Tae Kwon Do.

Jaden Smith is a 11 years old boy turning twelve on july the 8th. He is the son of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, the star of the fresh prince of bel air. As Jaden said his father kept talking about how he wanted to remake make the movie The Karate Kid and he did. Making one of the best movies i have ever saw! It was the best action comedy and romactic family movie i have ever saw. Also followed by his knew song Never Say Never including him and Justin Bieber. Jaden Smith even wrote his own lyrics to his rapping part .He can rap dance knows karate and is very funny that's why Jaden Smith is MY role modle.
