On Monday, November 8th at Cipriani Wall Street VH1 Save The Music celebrated the power of music. The Gala 2010 presented by LG Mobile Phones honored Julie Andrews, John Legend, John Mayer and The ASCAP Foundation!
The ongoing theme, “How Does Music Move You?” inspired guests and allowed people everywhere to share stories on how music shapes lives. The evening was hosted by 30 Rock’s Cheyenne Jackson and featured appearances by Common, Good Charlotte, Jason Mraz, Lauren Conrad, Natasha Bedingfield, Pete Wentz and a Tribute to The 45th Anniversary of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, featuring Kristin Chenoweth.
Demonstrating the impact of the Foundation’s work, a group of current and alumni students from the VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s first grant recipient school, P.S. 58/The Carroll School also performed, leaving the star-studded audience in awe.
