Who made this map? Texas is called The Independent Republic of Texas, and its capital is San Antonio. No explanation given for why it moved from Austin, but my theories:
1) Maybe fallout from Houston or Dallas blew over to Austin
2) San Antonio has more military presence
3) The governor got tired of all the hippies in Austin and saw it as a good opportunity to move.

Also in the scene where Jake is flying to Texas, he looks at his GPS map and the ASA/Texas border looks a little bit south of where it is now. Evidently Oklahoma got their hands on a good sized chunk of the border. Or maybe that line meant something else. It was only on screen for a second.

(sigh), I wish they'd bring Jericho back.
