The Harry Potter series was more than a fantasy series. It was more than a name. It was love, friendship, loyalty, bravery, and, peraps most of all, it was unity.
For over a decade, Potterheads around the globe were united, connected. We stil are. We share our memories with each other. We cry over the deaths presented. We laugh at the pranks, the great comebacks. And we long for Hogwarts.
Hogwarts isn't just a school, it's an idea. It's the idea tat anyone can be great. You don't need to be rich, or have good connections to suceed. You just need to know what you want, and you need to go for it.
At the tender age of eleven, Potterheds would wait ffor our Hogwarts letters, and cry when they never came. Even though no owl ever delivered a letter from Hogwarts to our doorstep, we were always students there.
Harry's world is real for anyone who believes in the power of friendship or the magic of a mother's love. It's real because we made it so, because we love that world. If you love something, set it free. If it doesn't return, it was never meant to be.
I would edit that statement in regards to the Wizarding world. That world has always existed, just three bricks to the left. It's here, in our hearts. And it will never leave. Why? Because the Potterhead generation believes. And we always will.
To our dear JKR, you have touched so many lives. You and your characters are a part of us now.
Harry's story will never end, not while there are Potterheads alive to love it.
To quote "A Very Potter Sequel": Hogwarts id greater than any of us. Who knows? Maybe we'll see our kids come here. The neat thing about Hogwarts is that no matter how long you're away, there will always be a way back.
