End of Chapter 28

"Ok enough." I said as I stepped close. "Jasper, I don't have time for pity...they have BELLA...do you understand? BELLA! I can not deal with your self doubt, she is in danger. If this was Alice, would you just sit back and let me argue with Bella?" I said as I got into his face.

"Edward, enough." Carlisle said as I turned and saw everyone was outside watching Jasper and I. Emmett was starting to walk my way, thinking about how he didn't want to restrain me but he would if he had to.

"We're leaving." I said as I turned from Jasper and walked over to Alice who was watching Jasper closely.

"I love you." He said as he smiled at Alice and his thoughts turned to how sorry he was because he forgot about the true reason we were doing all of this...Bella.

"I forgive you." I said as I kept walking.

"Alice, let's go." I said as I grabbed her hand and started walking back to the main hotel building.

"Wait." She said as she stopped, pulling her hand out of mine and ran to Jasper. She hugged him tightly and kissed him before turning and running back to me. She stopped once to look back over her shoulder, blowing him a kiss.

"Keep your phones on." Carlisle called after us.

"Let's go." I said as we ran into the hotel, stopping once so I could call and book two seats on the next flight into Scotland, which left in one hour.

Chapter 30

Thirty minutes later we were sitting on the plain, neither of us saying a word along the way. I was paying attention to her thoughts, they were mostly about Jasper..and how she reacted to him doing what Carlisle asked of him. Killing the man in the loading dock, his face empty of all emotion as he killed and dismembered the man without a thought.

"Alice, it did upset him." I said softly as we walked onto the plane, taking our seats next to each other.

"I know, I just expected him to be....." She said as she thought of the correct word. She was about to say that she expected him to be more upset about the entire thing, but her phone rang.

She flipped her phone open and sighed when she saw that it was Jasper calling. "Jasper." She said sadly, upset because she was still not sure that she wanted to talk to him.

I leaned in closer as she moved the phone so that I could hear what he was saying, nothing being held private between us.

"Alice, please come back, I can not live without you. You have taken a piece of me away when you left, please can I come with you and Edward?" He pleaded.

"No Jazz, we have to do this alone. The rest will need you, you have to stay with them. Please stay with them, they need you..so do I...but." She said as he interrupted.

"I need you too, we promised to never be parted again."

"I know love, but this is the one exception. Please Jasper, please stay with the rest. This will not change us, this will make us stronger. I love you Jasper, with my whole heart." Alice said, her body shrinking as she realized how much she was going to miss him.

"Edward?" Jasper asked, obviously knowing that I would be listening. I looked at Alice who shrugged, unsure why Jasper would want to talk to me.

"Yes?" I said softly.

"I'm sorry I upset you, you are right. If it were me in your place I wouldn't want to wait, I would do anything to find Alice. Please accept my apology."

"Of course Jazz, thank you for understanding." I said as I smiled at Alice.

"Oh Edward?"

"Yeah?"

"Keep her safe, if anything happens to her....." Jasper said, his fear could be heard in his voice.

"I will keep her safe, we will do what we have to and then hopefully meet up with the rest of you. Tell the others we will keep in touch." I said softly.

"I will, Alice?" He asked.

"Yes?"

"I love you, please find this flue so that we can be together. Hurry back to me my love." Jasper said sadly.

"I will, I love you too Jasper...more then anyone else. Be safe and keep Emmett on track please, he will get distracted easily." Alice said as she showed me a vision of Emmett getting lost, causing everyone to go out looking for him.

"O....K. I will keep an eye on Emmett. Love you my angel, I will talk to you later." Jasper said as he ended the call.

Alice sighed as she set the phone on her purse, obviously not in the mood to talk about anything right now. I knew it would be best if I respected her wishes, knowing that she wanted to be left alone.

I stared out the window, watching as the Scotland countryside began to grow as we descended. I reached over, breaking Alice of her concentration. She had been looking for Bella, unfortunately the only time that she had a lock on Bella everything was black and that concerned me more then anything.

"Alice, we're here." I said softly as we touched down, the plane coming to a stop on the runway.

"Where is she?" Alice said as she rubbed her temples, as if she had a headache.

"I don't know. Let's go find this clue."

We departed the plane as and quickly found a taxi that was waiting at this early hour of the morning. I quickly told the driver that we needed to get to Dumbarton Castle, and would pay double what he wanted if we could get there as fast as possible. He grinned, saying that he would have us there within an hour, and both Alice and I were surprised as we pulled in front of the castle noticing that it was completely uninhabited.

I paid the driver what he deserved, plus extra for getting us here in record time. We waved our goodbyes as we turned and faced the caste entry, the main entry looming over our heads.

I smiled as I walked up, turning to see Alice searching for something again. "Alice?" I asked.

"They just left. There is no one here...but I thought I saw..this looks like my vision of you fighting someone." She said, her thoughts full of fear and confusion.

"Alice if there is no one here, who will I fight?" I asked as I walked up, opening the door.

"Edward, be careful please. Do not go without me." She begged.

"I won't, please don't be afraid. I don't hear anyone's thoughts but yours." I said as I smiled, walking into the castle and up the hallway to where I guessed the bedrooms would be.

After searching a few rooms, I finally found the one that was the exact replica of Alice's vision. Bella's scent was so strong in here that it seemed like she would walk out of the bathroom at any moment. I was just about turn the knob when I heard Alice scream my name from the main room, I turned to see what was this was all about when I saw a vision of someone running into the room, a sword in their hand as they went to attack Alice. I turned just in time to see a man with brown curly hair enter the room, his eyes wide in anger as he held the sword up, angled to stab Alice through the heart.
