End of Chapter 3

"Well, even though you hate it...I wish you the happiest of birthdays Bella." I said as I reached forward and hugged her awkwardly.

"Thanks Jake, see ya later." She said as she patted my back.

"Thanks Charlie." I said as I went and began pushing my father to the door.

"No problem, thanks for coming." He said as he held the door for me.

I got my father all situated in the car and before I knew it we were half way home. The night was so dark, the sky clouded over so that the stars were blocked. I squinted as I drove, my eyes searching the sides of the road for deer or other wild life....

Ok...um...well..I had said I wasn't going to start any more stories. BUT..I was getting bored with some of the others and I thought that this might help. Hope you all enjoy!! And thanks Ash for the push to write and for the suggestion on this one :)

Chapter 1

"Carlisle, get out and bring the cattle in before they get hurt." My father said, barely looking up at me from the sermon he was working on.

"Yes father." I said as I went and pulled on the warmest clothes I could find.

"You must pay close attention, more animals have been killed. I fear that there is evil walking amongst us, we all need to...

Chapter 1
***Emmett's POV***

My family all says that they are bored, that they are sick of the same thing everyday. Thing of it is that it isn't the same everyday, I mean yes we have to go to school which starts in a few hours...but that is another adventure.

Rosalie was running in and out of the closet as I lay on the bed watching her. She would run in, and a few minutes come out with a different outfit on..look in the mirror and turn around running back into the closet...

It was a normal Tuesday, Alice and I had just returned from school to find the house empty. Alice sighed as she opened the door and went instantly to the couch, sitting cross legged as she stared into space.

"Where is everyone?" I asked as I sat next to her on the couch.

"Carlisle is at work, Esme is out shopping...without me, and Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper went hunting." She said in a bored tone.

"Oh." I said as I went upstairs, it was obvious that Alice was not in the mood to talk or have people around.

I went into my bedroom, flopping myself down on the bed as I stared into space, wondering...

"He made up his mind as soon as your 'friend' confirmed that it was too late to save you." I said.

"But he...he left! He didn't want me anymore! What difference does it make now? He knew I would die sometime!" She yelled.

"I don't think he ever planned to outlive you by long." I said quietly.

"How dare he!" She screamed as she jumped to her feet.

As she rose, Jacob stood up too, putting himself between Bella and I as if he were going to protect her from me.

"Oh, get out of the way, Jacob!" She yelled as she elbowed him out of the way.

"What can we do?" She begged as she came...
