Lady GaGa
When January dawned, if you were aware of MTV's Woman of the Year, Lady Gaga, at all, it was likely because you spent a lot of time in dank dance clubs and had started hearing her first single "Just Dance."

But within months, the most outrageous pop star since Madonna had us all transfixed with her signature mix of dark disco, futuristic fashion and provocative stage shows. Gaga became an instant global celebrity seemingly overnight, but it's hard to remember someone who has taken to the spotlight as quickly and as effectively as the former bar singer born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.

She wowed us with her virtual death at the VMAs, did it again at the AMAs with a bizarre, bottle-smashing piece of performance art and raised more than eyebrows with the provocative video for the first single from her recent The Fame Monster EP, "Bad Romance."

In between, she went from opening for the Pussycat Dolls to collaborating with fellow buzz act Wale, reaching out to her fervent gay following often, hooking up with Beyoncé, getting props from Madonna and ending the year with the over-the-top Monster Ball tour.

Lady GaGa, 23

Not since Madonna squeezed into her conical corset has the music world produced such an experimental fashion icon. With the emphasis being on 'mental'
Everything about Lady GaGa is big - hair, personality, sunglasses and, yes, pants. It's no wonder Just Dance became an instant anthem, followed by the equally catchy Poker Face and Paparazzi.
Super-talanted
GaGa - aka Stefani Germanotta was playing the piano by ear from the age of four and writes all her own songs. This year she has sold 20 million digital singles!
And our March 15 fabulous magazine cover star has earned the seal of approval from Madge, who says GaGa ''has that 'it' factor '.

We can't wait to see what she's got in store for 2010....

When Lady Gaga was a little girl, she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper hits and get twirled in the air in daddy’s arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. The precocious child would dance around the table at fancy Upper West Side restaurants using the breadsticks as a baton. And, she would innocently greet a new babysitter in nothing but her birthday suit.

It’s no wonder that little girl from a good Italian New York family, turned into the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that she is today: Lady Gaga.

“I was always an entertainer. I was a ham as a little girl and I’m a ham today,” says Lady Gaga, 23, who made a name for herself on the Lower East Side club scene with the infectious dance-pop party song “Beautiful Dirty Rich,” and wild, theatrical, and often tongue-in-cheek “shock art” performances where Gaga – who designs and makes many of her stage outfits -- would strip down to her hand-crafted hot pants and bikini top, light cans of hairspray on fire, and strike a pose as a disco ball lowered from the ceiling to the...

Lady Gaga is back in action with “The Fame Monster,” an album of both brand-new songs and reissues of her first album, “The Fame.” With her new songs, Lady Gaga proves that she can still make great, catchy dance tunes, but also shows the maturity she’s found since her first album was released last year. Overall, “The Fame Monster” is the next step in the evolution of an incredible performer.

“Bad Romance,” which has already taken the airwaves, iTunes and YouTube by storm, is bizarre, awesome and danceable as the opening song on “The Fame Monster.” Lady Gaga’s penchant for writing great pop music shines through on this track with an unhealthily catchy chorus and a great, but unintelligible, opening line. “Bad Romance” is simply proof that, even after hits like “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” the Lady still has it.
Lady Gaga’s second track, “Alejandro,” seems like a throwback, blatantly referencing ABBA’s “Fernando,” although upping the ante ever so slightly. But, big surprise, Lady Gaga rocks what can be best described as a pop-dance inspired pseudo-ballad for a nice change of pace after rocker...

my eyeliner runs in constellations for you dear
if only I could reboot my mechanical heart I'd think clear

but would you be m-mine
we'll never get too far
just you, me and the bar
so in a ménage à trois sometimes
would he be m-mine (2x)
would you be mine

oh baby, lights on
but your mom's not home
I'm sick of laying down alone
with this fever - fever, yeah
I want it all
now I'm gonna get you alone
give you a fever - fever yeah

you stole my soul and so
'cause, sweetheart

tell me you'll be m-mine
let's get inside your car
just you, me and the stars
kind of ménage à trois sometimes

could you be mine

I love that lavender blonde
The way she moves
The way she walks
I touch myself can't get enough
And in the silence of the night
Through all the tears
And all the lies
I touch myself and it's alright

Just give in
Don't give up baby
Open up your heart and your mind to me

Just know when
That glass is empty
That the world is gonna bend

Happy in the club with a bottle of red wine
Stars in our eyes 'cuz we're having a good time

Eh-eh
Eh-eh
So happy I could die
Be your best friend
Yeah I'll love you forever
Up in the clouds
We'll be higher than ever

Eh-eh
Eh-eh
So happy I could die
And it's alright

I am as vain as I allow
I do my hair
I gloss my eyes
I touch myself all through the night
And when something fall out of place
I take my time

Leave the coffin open when I go
Leave my pearls and lipstick on so everybody knows
Pretty will be the photograph I leave
Laying down on famous knives so everybody sees

Bleach out all the dark
I’ll swallow each peroxide shot
Someone I’ll know could love and save me from myself
Maybe I’ll just clean the shit off of these fancy shoes
I’ll be a Princess Die and die with you

[chorus]
I wish that I was strong
I wish that I was wrong
I wish that I could cope
But i took pills and left a note

I’m hungry from an anorexic heart
I’ve been trying to tell you how I feel
But was never very smart
I’m wrapped in silks made for Egyptian queens
I’ll do it in the swimming pool
So everybody sees

Bleach out all the dark
I’ll swallow each peroxide shot
volumes I know will love and save me from myself
Maybe I’ll just keep clean the shit off of these fancy shoes

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and George Clooney top 3 charitable celebrities, courtesy of DoSomething.org
Justin Bieber jumps to the No. 2 spot from last year’s position at No. 10, with George Clooney rounding out the top 3, while Lady Gaga came in first place.

It might be the Crossroads of the World, but Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga were the main attractions in Times Square for New Year’s Eve.
Kasey Beyer, 27, and her husband Kasey Beyer, of Iowa, came all the way to New York to see Bieber perform.
“Yeah, [we came] all the way just for his show,” said Kasey Beyer, a kindergarten teacher.
The Canadian pop prince tickled the ivories and belted out “Let it Be” around 10 p.m., which was followed by a massive cheer.
For Kati and Kiki Culp, sisters from Leesburg, Va., it was all about the Bieb’s piano playing and trying to get Lady Gaga’s autograph.
“It was cool because he played the piano,” said Katie, 8.
“We’re going to try to get her autograph” said Kiki, 6, of Gaga. “They’re both very talented.”
Lady Gaga, donning a black costume with sparkles and a globe-shaped cage around her around her head, took the stage just after 11:30 p.m. and performed “Marry the Night” and “Born This Way.”
“She was so good. I loved the part when she climbed onto the poles. No one else did that,” said Avery Reiter, 13.

Lady Gaga revists her metallic, Terminator-like look from the ‘You & I‘ video on the cover of the January 2012 issue of L’Uomo Vogue.
It’s the Italian version of the fashion bible and since Gaga is a proud Italian, no doubt this cover is extra special for her and ranks at the top of her favorite covers she’s appeared on. We know, there are many.

Ms. Germanotta is gracing the “Big Ones” issue and who’s bigger than the Mother Monster? The shots are black and white and feature Gaga wrapped in metallic wiring on her arm. It’s one of her most fashion-forward spreads.

In addition, there are metallic accoutrements affixed to her face and chin and Gaga rocks the menswear look, clad in a Yves Saint Laurent blazer and Chanel trousers, which should could have borrowed from her alter ego Jo Calderone.

Gaga’s sporting a fancy Philip Treacy hat on the cover, too.

To counteract the masculine nature of her attire, there is a shot of a topless Gaga, showing off her lady lumps in the spread. It’s done tastefully — albeit our censorship alterations — as part of this high-fashion editorial.

There’s an artistic and cultural argument that nothing is new and everything has been done before, but is reinterpreted to make it “new.” This idea causes heated legal debates about intellectual property. That said, Lady Gaga is being accused of ripping off Collette, a French street artist, with her window display for her Christmas-themed Gaga’s Workshop. The workshop was hosted by Barney’s chic department store over the holidays. See, Rihanna isn’t the only pop star accused of plagiarism!

Rolling Stone unearthed a short film, ‘Looking for Lady Gaga,’ where Collette protests the window and what it represents for filmmaker Josh Gilbert. She is adorned in a white, ornate and dramatic Victorian-style of dress, eerily similar to what Gaga wore at the opening of the workshop in November. Collette’s face is painted with pasty white makeup and she wears her dark hair in braids, causing passersby to ask, “Are you Lady Gaga?” Whether that was authentic or scripted can’t be known. It seems a little too convenient for our taste, but still.

She’s an advocate of high-end fashion couture but now Lady Gaga is singing the praises of designer knock-offs, too.
Gaga revealed that she bought counterfeit designer gear on last month’s trip to Japan.

“In Tokyo, they have all these stores that have fake Chanel and Versace,” she said. “And I’m an Italian from New York, so I still buy it. This jacket is a fake.”

Gaga was talking to a group of fans in the US last week and advised them to go shopping in thrift stores and customise their own purchases rather than shell out their life savings on expensive garb.

Interestingly, she vowed last June to wear nothing but Versace for two months as she was having a “love affair” with Donatella’s designs. Looks like the love affair may be over now.

Lady Gaga is allegedly planning to move in with her current beau, Vampire Diaries actor Taylor Kinney.

According to The Sun, Kinney – who starred alongside Gaga in her You And I video – has agreed to live with Gaga, with the pair viewing homes in New York.

A source revealed: “They’ve been looking for two places – one near his parents in Pennsylvania and one in the Big Apple.”

Kinney’s ex-girlfriend Brittany Sackett has since accused Gaga of pinching her man, telling Heat magazine that Gaga did her “a favour” after he apparently cheated on her with Gaga.

Despite being the first of Lady Gaga’s singles to ever miss the prestigious top ten mark on the Billboard Hot 100, “Marry The Night” has granted Gaga another milestone to celebrate. This week, “Night” vaulted to the top spot on Billboard’s Dance/Club Play chart, becoming Gaga’s twelfth consecutive number one on the chart in less than three years, the most of any artist in that span of time according to Billboard.com.

Lady Gaga has been unstoppable since “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” first took over airwaves in early 2009. Within three years, she has sold 23 million albums and 64 million singles. “Bad Romance” alone has sold nearly 10 million copies and has received 440 million YouTube views. Her sophomore album “Born This Way” has sold over 8 million copies since May, the title track of which sold over 1 million digital copies in its first five days, making it the fastest selling digital song of all time.

Congratulations to Mother Monster on another impressive accomplishment!

Madonna sat down with ABC News and had some interesting comments about Lady Gaga. In another interview, on Friday’s (January 13) “The Graham Norton Show,” the singer seemed to take the high road and likened her early days of hustling in New York City to Gaga’s beginnings.

“When I first saw her, I saw her performing at a very small club in Manhattan a couple of years ago, maybe it was like three years ago,” she said. “I was actually really impressed by her. I thought she was really cool and she did remind me of me back in the day. I liked her rawness and there was something fresh about there and ballsy, and when she spoke to the audience, she sounded like she had a similar sense of humor to me, quite ironic, and I liked her. So I do think she is very talented.”

That was really the end of the subject during their chat, other than when Madonna teased the British talk-show host about naming his dog after her. However, when he said his other dog was named Bailey, she quipped, “Not Gaga?”

While many listeners were quick to call Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” a rip-off of Madonna’s “Express Yourself” both in melody and video styling, the Material Girl herself is only just now speaking out about the controversy.

In an interview with “20/20″ airing tonight, Madonna finally comments on whether she thinks Lady Gaga’s imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or straight-up plagiarism. In the interview, Cynthia McFadden asks Madonna, who is releasing her 13th studio album “M.D.N.A.” in March, about Gaga.

“She’s a very talented artist,” says Madonna, sitting on a floral coach in a blue sweater with sparkly shoulders.

“I certainly think she references me a lot in her work,” Madge continues. “Sometimes I think it’s amusing and flattering and well done. [She makes] a statement about taking something that was in the zeitgeist, you know, 20 years ago and turning it inside out and reinterpreting it.”

But Madonna demures from outright criticizing Gaga.

Lady Gaga is teaming up with Harvard University to form the Born This Way Foundation, a non-profit, charitable organization.

Its purpose: to “explore the best ways to reach youth and create a new culture of kindness, bravery, acceptance and empowerment” with a focus on issues such as “self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and advocacy,” according to a Harvard release.

The boys of Def Leppard will surely be stoked to hear the news that Lady Gaga is one of their biggest fans. The “Born This Way” pop star recently told the U.K.’s Sun that much of her music is influenced by the British ‘80s rock group.

Gaga got addicted to Def Leppard tunes thanks to her dad, Joe, who used to play their vinyl to the entire family in New Jersey when she was a little tyke. “With my music, there’s lots of really big Def Leppard-style melodies in the choruses, but it’s electronic dance music,” Gaga said. “I’d call it avant-garde techno rock. It is very hard and very edgy. There are a lot of rock influences on the album but not that it is rock music.”

Gaga added that she strives to create a new genre with her pop music– one that brings together the heavy metal of bands such as Leppard with a dance-oriented vision. “It is an exploration of electronic music and techno songs but I have created a genre of metal/dance/techno/rock/pop music with a lot of anthemic choruses, because that is actually the music I love,” she said.

“A source” says Gaga’s new dude Taylor Kinney is not too stoked on her inability to separate her real, everyday self from the character she plays. “Gaga started living and breathing her character 24/7 because she felt her fans wanted that,” said the source. This hews pretty closely to the gripes voiced by Gaga herself (dressed in drag as Jo Calderone) at the VMAs this past fall: “I want her to be real, but she says Jo, I’m not real. I’m theater! And you and I…this is just rehearsal.”

I can see how this would be annoying for someone who cares not just about the made-up character Lady Gaga, but the real person Stefani Germanotta as well. Then again, if you want someone to be real with you and not constantly “on,” maybe you shouldn’t date a self-described “fame monster.”

That said, we are not sure if this is completely true because several firsthand account stories from people who know Gaga’s ex, Luc Carl, that she’s actually pretty normal when she’s having downtime with her friends and her man.

ady Gaga (no. 84) has more going for her than music sales. Gaga, who is actively involved in her career decisions, seems to revolutionize everything she touches. Specifically, as her 18.4 million Twitter followers can attest, the Mother Monster has turned the idea of social marketing on its head; without her Little Monsters, there would be no Beliebers for Justin Bieber or Barbs for Nicki Minaj. Gaga’s influence with fans has been entirely transformed through her branding deals. When Virgin Mobile sponsored her tour, for example, she worked the company into the show itself by way of a nightly phone call to a fan in the audience. Gaga also serves as the creative director for the Polaroid Grey Label and made a headline-grabbing presentation for the line at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.

Lady Gaga will be releasing a sixth single from ‘Born This Way’ and it appears that she, her team and her handlers have selected ‘Heavy Metal Lover’ as the next focus track.

Can you believe that Gaga’s already pumped out six singles? ‘BTW’ hasn’t even been out a year yet and she’s already cycled through a half-dozen hits. The news was reported by a French music site, unearthed by Oh No They Didn’t!

‘Heavy Metal Lover’ is one of the most synth heavy tunes on the record, with Gaga delivering her lyrics in a robotic tone over a cornucopia of beats. It’s quite a dance-oriented banger, and is more reminiscent of tracks on ‘The Fame.’ Club hoppers, you ready? Gaga is about to invade those dancefloors with ‘Heavy Metal Lover.’

Also, we recently reported a rumor that was floating around, suggesting that Gaga would both open and close the Grammys, despite no official confirmation from the people planning the show, pulling triggers and making decisions. Fast forward a few days and still no announcement regarding Gaga’s participation. Now, ONTD! claims Gaga is set to open the 54th annual Grammys on Feb. 12.

Their world-famous daughter has strutted her stuff in a dress made of raw top sirloin, but Lady Gaga’s parents are out to show food is more than a fashion statement.

When Joe and Cynthia Germanotta open their upper West Side restaurant Wednesday night they’ll be serving the Italian dishes their leggy daughter grew up eating.

Among the menu offerings at “Joanne’s Trattoria” will be Six-Layer Lasagna with Germanotta family pronto tomato sauce, “Papa Joe’s Chicken” and “Joanne’s Meatballs and Spaghetti with Sunday Gravy.”

“This has been a lifelong dream, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s finally happening,” Joe Germanotta, a former Internet entrepreneur, told the Daily News Tuesday.

The atmosphere is more laid back than baroque with a cozy fireplace, brick walls, a well-stocked bar and paintings of the Tuscan countryside.

Running the kitchen will be Southern-raised chef Art Smith, who used to be Oprah’s private chef until he met Lady Gaga.

Gaga’s parents, Joe and Cynthia Germanotta, joined Art Smith, Oprah’s former personal chef, this week to open an Italian restaurant, Joanne, in Manhattan. And even the tacit backing of two of the world’s most powerful women wasn’t enough to prevent a critical drubbing. Steve Cuozzo, the longtime restaurant critic at the New York Post, popped into the Upper West Side joint on opening night to sample the food. And he hated it. In his Joanne review (“You’ll gag on the food at Gaga’s”), he said that the calamari salad was the worst he’d eaten in his entire career at a critic. And it only gets worse from there:

One-note orecchiette with shellfish recalled the flaccid pasta commonly doled out along Long Island’s Jericho Turnpike — or at 35,000 feet. Unspeakably fatty veal osso bucco was $38. In a review the other day, I criticized the same dish at new Caffe Storico, where it cost only $28. Come back, Caffe Storico! All’s forgiven.

Ouch! Cuozzo admits that it’s not entirely fair to judge a restaurant based on opening night; it’s possible things will improve. And Cuozzo isn’t necessarily the definitive critic of record on New York...

Mother Monster is readying her next tour, the Born This Way Ball.

Lady Gaga took to Twitter to let her fans know that on Tuesday, she will unleash images of the stage design for the tour, which is set to launch later this year. She added that she was brewing up a number of other tour-related projects and wrote, “putting the set list together!”

Over the last few weeks, Gaga has been tweeting frequently about the upcoming outing, noting that she’s been in meetings with her Haus and watching old Monster Ball Tour videos that “made us cry. We love u, can’t wait for the next one.”

Haus member and BTW producer Fernando Garibay shared with MTV News in December that the show will be reflective of the 2011 album. “This album was the most personal [because of] the amount of detail that went into this record, the amount of passion [and] emotion from her and the team,” he said. “Every song was a story towards the Born This Way theme. We’re excited now, putting that into the tour and expressing that on a live performance level.

Lady Gaga is showing her love of football in a new series of pictures by photographer Terry Richardson. The photos have been posted on Terry’s blog and advertised on Twitter. The lovely Gaga does not look like the typical football fan. In one picture, she is topless with the football strategically placed in front of her to shield her lady parts. She dons a tiny black dress and a leather jacket in the shoot.

The black and white photos were posted by the celebrity photographer yesterday. Her football picture a caption, “Lady Gaga holding a football…Go Giants.”

Gaga and Terry have a long history of working together. She obviously feels very comfortable with him. The photographs include Lady Gaga imitating Terry Richardson, but it could be interpreted as Gaga a.k.a. the bad teacher. Gaga dons Terry’s giant glasses and poses seductively. It is a photo that brings every guy’s sexy teacher fantasy to life. Her tiny dress is pulled down just enough to bare a whole lot of cleavage that she enhances with a little squeezing action.

“I wanted to be a skinny little ballerina, but I was a voluptuous little Italian girl whose dad had meatballs on the table every night.”

That’s how Lady Gaga answered a teen girl’s question recently when she was asked about her own body image issues at the Brentwood School, the tony Los Angeles prep school. As the Huffington Post reports, Gaga also spoke candidly about having been bulimic as a teenager, about her continuing struggles with maintaining a healthy weight and about the media’s distortions of how she looks.

“Every video I’m in, every magazine cover, they stretch you — they make you perfect,” she confessed. “It’s not real life.” Consider the magazine cover up top, in which Gaga’s image was undoubtedly digitally enhanced for the men’s magazine, FHM.

But that’s what girls are up against, as they inevitably compare themselves to the “not-real-life” images of celebrities.

And media distortion is, no doubt, one factor that has led to an epidemic of eating disorders among teen girls. One in 10 girls in the U.S. suffers from an eating disorder, says the American Academy of Child and Adolescent...

LittleMonsters.com, now in invite-only beta testing, is Gaga’s effort at creating a network built around her fan base – Little Monsters

An early look at the site suggests it will be designed a lot like Pinterest, the fast-emerging mobile app that lets users “pin” locations and items that they like. Gaga’s site also will emphasize sharing and creating photos and videos, as well as letting other users promote content from others that they like (something similar to sites like Reddit and Digg).

The site is the first project by Backplane, the startup where Lady Gaga’s manager, Troy Carter, is one of four founders. The company will focus on online community-building.

“Backplane is about bringing together communities and Gaga’s community just so happens to be the community we’re using to learn about proper functionality,” CEO Matt Michelsen said to Mashable, a CNN content partner. “We think we can really change the world.”

When other sites are launched, Backplane allows user to switch back and forth among as many as they want.

Gaga managed to score a remarkable five awards at this year’s Virgin Media Music Awards; beating out Adele. The UK awards show is based on fan votes, and everybody knows Gaga has got more fans than any other person in the business.

Little Monsters helped her scored the “gong” for Best Album. The same award she was up for at the Grammy’s but ultimately lost. The UK awards put Gaga over British star Adele and her extremely popular album, 21.

Gaga also scored Best Video and Best Track gongs for her lead single. As if her night was not fabulous enough, Little Monsters proclaimed Gaga as the Hottest Female in the business as well. This was a tough category. Lady Gaga was up against Rihanna and Katy Perry, but still managed to prove she has got one of the hottest bodies in the music industry..

Mother Monster managed to win Best Female Artist as well. Again, she beat out the likes of Beyoncé and Rihanna. That is some serious competition, but the people have spoken and Lady Gaga is the queen. Gaga thanked her fans for her wins on Twitter, “Thank you to the Virgin Media Awards. Some Hong Kong fans of Lady Gaga were left disappointed yesterday after the first batch of tickets for a concert in the city were sold out within three hours at one outlet, the South China Morning Post reported.

Fans vied with “professional queuers” and ticket touts to secure bookings for the concert, according to the report. The tickets were available exclusively to American Express card holders, who were each restricted to eight, the Post said.

One unidentified woman said she was paid HK$70 ($9.03) an hour to stand in the queue and had been in line for 30 hours, according to the report. Ada Lau said she bought eight of the HK$1,580 tickets and immediately sold four at a 150 percent profit, the Post said.

Simon Clarke bought eight tickets for HK$480 each, as a surprise for his two sons, whom he said would be inspired by Lady Gaga, according to the Post. Clarke said he had asked the family’s domestic helper to stand in the queue from 6:30 a.m. to secure the tickets, it reported.

Earlier this week, British music mag NME set out to determine the “10 Most Pretentious Albums Ever.” The list includes (genuinely pretty terrible) conceptual fare like Kiss’ Music From “The Elder,” Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music and, uh, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, which somehow bested all competitors to nab the #1 spot.

How? Well, as NME writer Priya Elan wrote, “On Born This Way, [Gaga] seemed to believe in her own hype, convinced she had a message to share. Cue an album of unwieldy ‘anthems’ that couldn’t mask the fact that the fun had left the building.” Elan singled out the thumping “Scheiße” as BTW’s most pretentious moment, adding, “Did electroclash die for this?”

Snap. As you’d probably expect, those jabs had Gaga’s Little Monsters on the offensive, and they launched an all-out attack on Elan in the comments section of NME’s website. But Gaga herself remained above the fray — for a while, anyway.

On Thursday night, she took to her Twitter account to hit back at NME, a publication that’s certainly been no stranger to charges of pretentiousness over the years.

Remember this picture?
In the March edition of the magazine, Gaga writes a memorandum to a handful of people. Some are dead, some are fictional, and others are not even human. However, the article is mainly directed at the baseball players she may or may not have offended during a drunken visit last year. Lady Gaga stirred up a bit of controversy when she flipped the bird at photographers, and maybe fans, as she enjoyed box seats at a Mets game.

Gaga jokes about the event and tells readers, “Google now ‘Lady Gaga at the Mets game,’ and you will find a photograph of a not-so-sober version of myself flipping the Bronx cheer with my friends.” Ah, yes. How could anybody forget a half-naked Gaga channeling her masculine side.

Mother Monster reveals her father scolded her for her antics, but she had a very good reason for her gesture. She calls it the “Bronx cheer,” and explains, “The Bronx cheer is a double bird (or when one flips off anyone using both hands) and is a wonderfully typical sign of a devout Yankees fan.”

Lady Gaga and her mother — along with an all-star group of supporters including Oprah Winfrey, David Burtka, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius — launched the Born This Way Foundation Wednesday afternoon at Harvard University. It’s a national antibullying effort set on promoting a “braver, kinder world.”

“I want it to be part of the natural fabric of schooling, so that someone knows that it is not OK to be intolerant of your children, it is not OK to be unaccepting, it is not OK to be violent because you don’t understand,” Gaga said during the launch event. “If you teach your kids to love everyone, hopefully that will, over time, branch out.”

Led by Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the foundation aims to raise public consciousness about the need for support and acceptance of everyone — “a youth empowerment foundation … about transformative change in culture over time,” Gaga said.

In response to questions from a diverse panel that included Deepak Chopra, Burtka, Sebelius, and Jamey Rodemeyer’s sister Alyssa, Gaga answered questions about the foundation and the large hurdles the...

Lady Gaga’s ex-boyfriend Luc Carl has admitted breaking up with the singer was difficult because her worldwide fame meant she was “shoved down his throat”.

The couple broke up in 2008 after three years together with reports blaming Gaga’s fame for their split.

Though the musician from New York claims he was pleased about her success he has revealed in his new book ‘The Drunk Diet: How I Lost 40 Pounds…Wasted: A Memoir’ that it was hard to escape her.

According to Life & Style the 31 year-old wrote: “I was happy for her, of course, but I didn’t really need my ex shoved down my throat.”

The New York native goes on to admit that his problems caused their break-up and doesn’t blame the ‘Born This Way’ star for leaving him. He said: “The breakup with my girlfriend [Lady Gaga] was my rock bottom.”

“It took me about a week to realize she was right. I was f–king miserable, and it wasn’t her fault. It was my fault for being a drunk a**hole. I would have left me, too.”

Gaga has apparently decided to start a family with boyfriend, The Vampire Diaries actor and model Taylor Kinney.

“She’s already doodling baby names on scraps of paper. She’s been bragging about how beautiful their children will be because Taylor is so handsome,” a source told The Daily Star newspaper in the UK.

“She wants everything with him – love, marriage and a family. But she’s set on becoming a mother before they think about anything else and she’s talking about giving birth in the next year.
“You know this is the real deal because she never talked about babies when she was with her long-term ex-boyfriend Lüc Carl. With Taylor, that’s all she talks about now.”
And 30-year-old Taylor – who met Gaga last winter whilst playing the love interest in her You and I video – is said to be “starry-eyed” about becoming a father.

“He’s walking on air right now and can’t stop talking about how he’s going to become a dad and settle down,” a second source told The Daily Star.

Stars including Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp have thrown their support behind movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's campaign to have his movie Bully awarded a lower age rating.

The Weinstein Company boss was left fuming this week (beg20Feb12) after American censors gave the documentary film a restrictive R rating, meaning younger kids won't be able to see it without being accompanied by their parents.

Weinstein was so angry, he threatened to withdraw his company from the Motion Picture Association of America over the ruling, and he has now revealed why he feels so passionate about the project.

The movie mogul admits the film has become a personal crusade for him, as he has four daughters and he wants them to grow up without being threatened by bullies.

Weinstein tells TV host Piers Morgan, "I cried at the end of the film, and I said this is a mission for me, and especially for somebody who's known 10 years ago to have a bad temper. It's almost an act of redemption to do this movie on a personal basis.

Lady Gaga is reportedly ''furious'' about plans for a biopic of her life.

The 25-year-old 'Born This Way' singer is said to be ''cringing'' at the idea of having her rise to fame portrayed in forthcoming film 'Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story'.

While producers are on the lookout for an unknown to play Gaga, the woman herself is believed to be raging over the news.

A source said: ''She's furious, she's cringing at the thought of her life being exposed on television.

''Gaga doesn't want it getting out because it will portray her as insecure and needy. [She] wants to be seen as powerful and strong.''

TV network Lifetime originally bought the rights to the movie - which is being written by Norman Snider and is based on Maureen Callahan's 2010 book 'Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga' - although Life & Style magazine reports they are now being offered elsewhere.

The eccentric star is not normally one to shy away from publicity, and even admits she ''needs'' to be in the spotlight.

Lady Gaga is said to be furious at reports that a biopic of her life is being planned - without her consent. According to Life and Style magazine, Lady Gaga has learned that there are plans to make a movie about her life and her rise to global superstardom. A source close to the Monster singer told the publication that Gaga is "he's cringing at the thought of her life being exposed on television."

The producers of the movie, to be entitled "Monster: The Lady Gaga Story" are reportedly still searching for the perfect actress to play the role of Stephanie Germanotta but apparently they want "a total unknown." The reason given for Gaga's reaction to the movie is that she does not want to be portrayed as "insecure and needy," for fear that it will undermine the "powerful and strong" image that she likes to portray. The rights to the movie were originally bought by Lifetime but now they are being shopped around once more.

Lady Gaga gave the 'X Factor' contestants a hair grip as a souvenir.

The eccentric singer was a guest performer on the last series of the reality TV show and gave the hopefuls a ''pep talk'' before they took to the stage and then handed over a memento of their meeting.

Marcus Collins - who came second on the show - said: ''She was in her rollers and gathered us all together for a pep talk.

''She told us she'd auditioned for things like this loads and never got anywhere, so we'd done really well. Then she gave each of us a Kirby grip and said, 'These are my very own.' ''

Despite her worldwide fame, Gaga surprised the contestants when she admitted she was nervous about appearing on the show.

Marcus added to more! magazine: ''She was dead nice. She asked if we had any questions. I asked her if she was scared about her performance and she said, 'Yeah, I am actually.' Who would've thought it?''

As the most modern of stars, Lady Gaga is a veritable doyenne of Twitter... so what better way to 'leak' her 2012-2013 tour details.

The 2012 Grammy performer shared the tour’s official poster, a bit of homework' she says she finished early and felt compelled to leak after too much wine,' on her account tonight.

Its gothic monochrome design features the singer's large, sepulchral visage peering out from ominous clouds above a medieval castle in the same architectural style as The Born This Way Ball’s stage design sketch.

Hey guys, I have stumbled across a site that I thought I’d share with you. It is mainly for buying stuff like music, mp3 downloads and dvd’s by ‘The Lady’.
The products are supplied directly from Amazon so I guess this site is affiliated to them but there is loads of information about each item and reviews from previous customers and all the Lady Gaga stuff is in one place.
There is also a link to a sister site which is very similar but for Michael Jackson fans.
There are also some links to some pretty cool health products which you might find useful!!
I have used this site and found it to be easy to read and navigate and the goods that I ordered arrived quickly and were well packaged.
Anyway, I just thought I’d share this with you.

„Sometimes it seems as though I’ve waited my entire life to be photographed by Terry Richardson. With Terry, the relationship extends beyond the photograph, and if you’re really lucky he will teach you something truly profound about yourself. I have discovered through him that ’shame’ is an obsolete notion and ’apology’ is an injustice to any performance. Perhaps it is his kind eyes behind those famous glasses, or the giggling noise he makes at 4:30 in the morning when he’s caught me in bed. Click, giggle, click, click, click, „beautiful”. To say he is a free spirit is a tremendous understatement, and to say that he (or I) make people uncomfortable, is spot on. We share these things in common. However it is unique to Terry and his subjects that there are no limitations. At all. His heart is too wide. He makes me want to widen my own.

Terry finds beauty in the most intricate and unassuming of places. His photography beckons the question over and over again. Should there ever be limitations in art? Because when he captures me in a moment of such tandem artistic and human purity, I am convinced the answer is that we must push the boundaries of culture...

"How can I protect something so perfect without evil?"
This is the manifesto of Mother Monster:

On G.O.A.T, a Government Owned Alien Territory in space, a birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place.

But the birth was not finite; it was infinite.

As the wombs numbered, and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life is not temporal; it is eternal.

And thus began the beginning of the new race: a race within the race of humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom.

But on that same day, as the eternal mother hovered in the multiverse, another more terrifying birth took place: the birth of evil.

And as she herself split into two, rotating in agony between two ultimate forces, the pendulum of choice began its dance.

It seems easy, you imagine, to gravitate instantly and unwaveringly towards good.

But she wondered, “How can I protect something so perfect without evil?”

Let go of me, your poison ivy
My evil judas(death and vanity)
Please let go, you’re Poison Ivy to me

As much as I obsess
about the sick things you do
Follow you around and stalk your every move,
I know your laughing behind closed doors, but no more, cause
I’m just a holy fool,
Oh baby he’s so cruel, but i’m still in love with judas, baby
Uggh(death and vanity)

When he comes to me, i am ready.

Here's an excerpt:

"This affect works with the music: It’s adorable when she punches at the air with her fist like a sexy child. But then her face is heavy as a meat puppet or a painted mask with a card stuck between its teeth, a thing made by crude animation to flick the card from its lips onto the table or raise its arm in a wide arc and bring the card down while other holograms dance around it in fevered jerking motions."

Her parent knew how eager Stefani was, so they said yes. She started out as a waitress to earn money. Then she started to travel. "I don't go to night clubs. A lot of singers are sluts and write about sex and are obsessed with it! I do not see anything wrong with this but do you really think thats a good image for young people and teens to look up to?
Lady ga ga is a brilliant singer but she is a slut she is a nice person and I do like her I just think she is obsessed with sex and I don't see anything wrong with that there is a difference between calling someone a slut and hating them I think she is a fantastic singer and I know writing songs about sex doesn't make you a slut but sleeping with loads of people and boasting about it is slutty and iresponsible so she is not really a good role model because of it. Just think about it honestly if you were a parent would you let you're daughter act amd dress the way she does in music videos and in front of the paparapzi? just making a point. But she is still one of my favourite singers its just the way she is!
She has quoted her self that she sleeps with her whole band honestly is that really a good thing? A lot of singers are like this but really with the influence she has she could make a differance with songs about the enviroment and important things other then drinking and...

It looks like Lady Gaga could be out a lot of money and in a lot of trouble!

A songwriter and music producer claims pop star Lady Gaga owes him money because he co-wrote some of her songs, came up with her stage name and helped her get a record deal.

Rob Fusari has filed a 35 million dollar lawsuit in New York City against Lady Gaga. Here is the best part: he is her ex-boyfriend!

Rob met Lady Gaga in March 2006, when she was known by her real name, Stefani Germanotta. Rob said he helped her change her name from Stefani to Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga is not giving her ex much credit. Lady Gaga said her "realisation of Gaga was five years ago, but Gaga's always been who I am".

"I was Gaga from the time that I was 19 through my first record deal," the 23-year-old said of her over-the-top, avant-garde style, which has captured the imaginations of millions of fans."

In the end, the courts will decide who is telling the truth. Looks like it is a bad idea to combine business and love!

Midnight at the glamour show on a Sunday Night
Everybody drink alotta whiskey and wine
We dance like no tomorrow
We’re on Burlesque time
But everybody’s gotta work tomorrow at nine

Touch me t-touch me baby but don’t mess up my hair
Love me l-love me crazy
But don’t get too attached, this is a brink affair

Vanity (pictures in magazines, movie screens)
Vanity (there is a camera, so many beauty queens)
Vanity (it’s so good to be)
Popular and glamourous, we love ourselves and no one else
Va-va-va-va-vanity va-vanity, va-va-va-vanity

Nothin’ wrong with being just a little bit vain
We need a little pretty cuz this country’s insane
So go ahead and label me whatever you like
But nothings quite as sexy as a woman is fine

Touch me touch me baby but don’t mess up my hair
Love me love me crazy

It's too much a mess and a stress
To figure out and too much pressure on us, babe
Last night you took me to the mall
And then it started to get physical

But we've only been on one date, baby
Yeah, I know it was fun till you start acting crazy
I don't really find it very cute or sexy
When you call or incessantly, t-t-text me

Don't be dirty ice cream, baby
We could fall in love but it's too early to be calling me like that
Stop calling, stop calling
It's not indecision, just my female intuition
Telling me you can't be calling me like that
Stop calling, stop calling

I can't live with you, yes it's true or live without
The kinda guy that I'm about
You kiss me like a rockstar and
You always wanna hold my hand

But we've only been on one date, baby
Yeah, I know it was fun till you start acting crazy
I don't really find it very cute or sexy

Lady Gaga’s set is a boxed perspective designed by Es Devlin and built by Tait Towers

Lady Gaga played her last of four New York shows Sunday night at Radio City Music Hall, with just one more date tonight on this leg of her Monster Ball tour before she “throws away this stage and gets a new one,” for her upcoming arena tour, as the artist announced from her piano bench. The boxed perspective set, lined with tapering walls of Nocturne V-Lite LED video screens, was designed by Es Devlin and built by Tait Towers, complete with lots of moving parts.

Forcing the perspective further is a sloped floor, while cross-stage travellators expand the horizontal dimension. A self-propelled set truck moves various objects from the back to the forestage, usually including the artist herself, not least of which is a huge gyroscope. “We had to approach this from two new angles,” says James “Winky” Fairorth, president of Tait Towers. “The gyro was a completely new moving object to conjure with; you don’t want to underestimate the forces at work when that thing is spinning.”

Despite completely selling out every show, the North American leg of the tour was reportedly making substantial losses of $4 million. This was due to the complex stages and array of costume changes during the show. Gaga spent $500,000 on one stage alone, with an appearance on the British talent show The X Factor - which featured Gaga performing Bad Romance in a giant bathtub, costing £52,000.

On Thursday 14th January, Gaga was forced to cancel her appearance in Indiana after falling ill, minutes before the show was due to start. She had passed out beforehand, and was complaining of feeling "dizzy" and had "trouble breathing". She apologised to her fans via Facebook and Twitter, saying "Can't apologise enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage...I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me.

Overall Lady GaGa is kicking of 2010 in full swing, Selling 96.8% of tour tickets.

Jane Stevenson from Toronto Sun gave the concert four out of five stars and said that "Lady Gaga came across as a confident, colourful, and campy performer. ... Gaga's success was evident with slick-looking videos, lights, elaborate costumes, dancers, and yes, a band, even if her stage was sometimes left dark as she left to make numerous changes."

T'Cha Dunlevy for The Gazette noted that the performance was lacking ("The elements are there but they haven't all been brought together"), adding that the show never reached its peak until the end, when Gaga performed the "real rendition" of "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance." "Better late than never," Dunlevy concluded.

Aedan Helmer from Jam! magazine said that "At first blush, it might seem the real driving force behind Gaga's meteoric rise to fame is her hand-picked cadre of costume and set designers – dubbed Haus of Gaga – who seemingly know no bounds when it comes to pushing the envelope of haute couture and the theatre of the absurd. [...] But what really sets Gaga apart from the middling masses of lip-synching Britney clones and Idol wannabes is her pure, unadulterated musical talent. [...] The Lady...

In an appearance as varied as one of her song medleys, on Friday's (January 15) "Oprah Winfrey Show," Lady Gaga performed, announced that she'll be donating the proceeds from one of her forthcoming concerts to relief for Haiti, and indirectly addressed her show cancellations in the wake of her collapse from exhaustion after a show on Thursday.

Regarding Haiti, Gaga said that all proceeds from her January 24 concert in New York will go to relief organizations for the earthquake in the embattled country.

"Haiti's still suffering," she said. "And I was thinking earlier, because I was in New York during 9/11 and I always felt, the level of disaster isn't in the neighborhood of what is happening in Haiti, but I just remember feeling nobody really understood. And I worry that young people don't know enough about what's going on there.

"And I will say today that on the 24th, the Monster Ball [show] in New York City, all of the money that I make in ticket sales and merchandise will go to Haiti. And on the 24th you can also go onto LadyGaga.com and any merchandise that you buy, the money will go to Haiti." Reached for comment, Gaga's label rep told MTV...

Lady GaGa - Alejandro
Lady Gaga has been one of 2009 hottest stars and it seems she’ll be continuing her press domination in 2010.

Last week Polaroid announced her position as its new creative director and this week it seems the Lady herself has taken the power reigns.

According to the gossip grapevine, or in this case The Sun, she’s set her sights on Lara Stone, to appear in her next music video of upcoming single Alejandro. Although details are still a little bit shaky, we’ve gathered that the face of Louis Vuitton is number one on Lady Gaga’s casting list, and if it happens we think it’ll be an excellant collaboration.

However, there’s also some bad news for Miss Gaga today with claims that designer Mark Fast has refused to lend the singer any of his creations. According to reports in Metro News, Mr Fast said this was over concerns that his designs would be overshadowed by the singer.

“I love her music and that Bad Romance song is stuck in my head all the time, but we don’t necessarily have to accept everyone just because they are famous,” he said.

Gangsta rapper The Game admits he is desperate to collaborate with Lady GaGa on his upcoming fourth studio album, “The R.E.D. Album”. Explaining the unusual choice of musician he wants to collaborate with, he reasoned that the 23-year-old dance electronica sensation is a fellow music rebel. He said, “She’s a rebel, and I go against the grain every day.”

The 30-year-old rapper admitted he has pressured all of his record label executives to set up a studio time with the eccentric and talented singer. “I’m trying to get [Interscope Records executive] Jimmy Iovine to throw me in the studio with Lady GaGa,” he said. The “Hate It or Love It” star is convinced a collaboration with the “Bad Romance” singer would be “monumental for the state of music.”

The Game rose to fame after releasing his debut album “The Documentary in 2005. He was nominated for two Grammys for “Hate It or Love It”, his collaboration piece with 50 Cent in 2006. His newest effort, “The R.E.D. Album”, is set to be released in U.S. stores on February 16. Beside his works in the music industry, he also ventures to feature films. He was last seen on “Street...

The pop world is going gaga.

Lady Gaga, to be exact.

Whether it's her racy stage performances, arresting fashion sense or chart-topping hits, Gaga gets heads turning and sets tongues wagging.

The New York City-born blond performer even piqued the curiosity of the curmudgeonly Barbara Walters, who dubbed her one of her "ten most fascinating people" earlier this month. Gaga also kept court with a queen, bowing to Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in a red dress made of latex. She recently was named "woman of the year" by MTV, who said "there's not much question that 2009 was Lady Gaga's year."

But it isn't all rosy for the woman who "rah rah rah's" her way through hit "Bad Romance."

Gaga's performance style put fear in one of her own family members.

"It wasn't really so easy for my dad, especially in the beginning," Gaga told Walters during the interview that aired Dec. 9. "We didn't talk for months after the first time he saw me play, and my mother told me he was afraid I was, like, mentally unstable."

Lady Gaga never gets drunk - because she is too focused on her career.

The singer claims she doesn't go out and party hard because she doesn't want a hangover affecting her work and she struggles to motivate herself to go clubbing.

She said: "I don't go to nightclubs. You don't see pictures of me falling out of a club drunk. I don't go - and that's because I usually go and then, you know, a whiskey and a half into it, I got to get back to work. Because I love my work so much, I find it really hard to go out and have a good time."

Lady Gaga has revealed new song "Telephone" - which features on her latest album "The Fame Monster" - is about her strict work ethic and fear of fun.

She told MTV: "Something that I have or fear is never being able to enjoy myself. That's my fear - that the phone's ringing and my head's ringing. Whether it's a telephone or it's just the thoughts in your head, that's another fear."

THE FAME MONSTER
Back in May of this year, Kanye West made (as per usual) a somewhat outrageous claim: that Lady Gaga was our present-day Madonna. The fact that Kanye would make such a boast didn’t really come as that much of a surprise to anyone though. He had already announced a co-headlining tour with her (which has since been canceled), posted every single video and guest-appearance she made on his blog, and even sampled her vocals from an acoustic rendition of “Poker Face” to great effect on the Kid Cudi single “Make Her Say”. Yet even with West being ga-ga for Gaga, that very simple Madonna comparison has already stirred quite a bit of controversy. Could she really be our next Queen of Pop, despite having released only one album? Wouldn’t Britney have already claimed that title years ago? Also, can there really be a “next Madonna” when the current one is as lively and active as ever?

Truth be told, this isn’t really an issue that needs much debate. Madonna is Madonna and Lady Gaga has the distinction of being the first-ever Lady Gaga. Artists with strong personalities always tend to weather the pop music landscape better than their indistinctive peers, which is...

the promises they made
regret themselves and say "this is too hard"

We are a generation twisted by our myth
Confused and ludicrous, holding on to love
Consumed by all the pleasures in our midst
A life without the lips we've kissed
And losing all control

We're gonna start a resistance
So we want independence
We're gonna give the world some of this

Electric kiss
I'm gonna change the world with my lips
One voice forever
We'll live together
Peace, love, solitude and happiness
Electric kiss

Fame is our felony
We're so in love with it
Superstars and masochists
Who don't know where to go
But the poets and the fathers of our time
Put down their weapons in their arms
And know what they must do

But everybody’s gotta work tomorrow at nine

Touch me t-touch me baby but don’t mess up my hair

Love me l-love me crazy

But don’t get too attached, this is a brink affair

Vanity (pictures in magazines, movie screens)

Vanity (there is a camera, so many beauty queens)

Vanity (it’s so good to be)

Popular and glamourous, we love ourselves and no one else

Va-va-va-va-vanity va-vanity, va-va-va-vanity

Nothin’ wrong with being just a little bit vain

We need a little pretty cuz this country’s insane

So go ahead and label me whatever you like

But nothings quite as sexy as a woman is fine

Touch me touch me baby but don’t mess up my hair

Love me love me crazy

But don’t get too attached, this is a brink affair

If I fell in love with you
Would you understand me, dear
Love is weird

I colored you a valentine
Struggled just to stay inside the lines
I lose my mind

I really can't believe
I lost myself again

Looking for something crazy
Beautiful love and now
I'm talking in circles again
Have my love, baby
Are you hungry for wonderful
'Cause I am, wonderful 'cause I am

I wrote a song about your eyes
Ate a slice of cherry pie
I cried all night

On the bench inside the park
I'll kiss you slowly in the dark
I'll never stop

I really can't believe
I lost myself again

Looking for something crazy
Beautiful love and now
I'm talking in circles again
Have my love, baby
Are you hungry for wonderful
'Cause I am, wonderful 'cause I am

Baby take me for a ride
Maybe get a little high

I'm a big boy, you're a big girl now, now, now...
I'm a big girl, you're a big boy now, now, now...

Back in the day, when you were young (It was fun)
Little girl, didn't think you were the one (Now, here I come)
Your sexy walk, your sexy talk (That's what's up)
Little girl, you're clearly not the same kid from the block

I ain't that little girl no more, not no more, that's for sure
Boy, your get ass out on the floor, lets explore, lets explore

Chorus:
You know I like the way you move it (move it)
Girl, you're all grown up and now you're ready to let it go
Wanna be a big girl 'bout to prove it (prove it)
With a body like that, you've got a grown man ready to blow

I'm a big boy, you're a big girl now, now, now
I'm a big girl, you're a big boy now, now, now

Back in the day, when I was young (Kinda dumb)
But I always knew I'd be the one (Now, here you come)

hold her hand through the black light
baby, it's a forest land of trick slides
honey, just take your time
close her eyes
"I'm scared," she whispered
as she wants to hide into a back room
where she paints on a smile
she hears a sound (2x)

it could have been love
it could have been anybody
anybody, uh-oh
she waited for love
but there wasn't anybody around
so we left town with the rock show

keep it cool at the freakshow
baby, its a happy place
if you lose it, honey
just take your time
close his eyes
"touch me," he whispered
as he walks to the light from the window
there's visions of a house in the night
he hears a sound (2x)

it could have been love
it could have been anybody
anybody, uh-oh
he waited for love
but there wasn't anybody around
so he left town with the rock show

hold her, tell her that you need her

Ow, come here boy

I met a drummer last week
at a pool bar down b-by the shore
With a body like that and your stonewashed eyes
I want you more

He cried, "Mother! What'd you do to me?"
I said, "Mother mother mother's for babies
Call me kitty."

Yeah

Shake your kitty
Shake your kitty (meow)
Put your arms around me, babe
I'm giving you permission to feel me

Shake your kitty
Shake your kitty (meow)
Put your arms around me, babe
I'm giving you permission to feel me

Shake your shake
Shake shake
Shake your sh-shake
Shake it, shake it
Shake it, shake it
Shake it, shake

I took a drummer by the hand
To the Juke box then
We hit the floor
With your Van Halen pin
And your dark side burns
I want you more

He cried, "Mother! What'd you do to me?"
I said, "Mother mother mother's for babies

"Well, my dad has had a heart condition for about 15 years. He has or he had a bad aortic valve, and his body for a very long time was only pumping a third of the blood that you're supposed to get every time his heart beat. So he [was] resigned that he wasn't going to get the surgery and told my mother and I that he was going to let his life take its course.... And I was on tour and I couldn't leave, so I went into the studio and I wrote this song 'Speechless'.... My dad used to call me after he'd had a few drinks and I wouldn't know what to say. I was speechless and I just feared that I would lose him and I wouldn't be there....I wrote this song as a plea to him and it worked, he had the surgery with no complications.''

Lady GaGa is a theatrical dance-pop singer/songwriter/pianist who created a buzz for herself in the New York underground before making her major-label debut with Interscope Records in 2008. Influenced by flamboyant glam rockers such as David Bowie and Queen, as well as '80s dance-pop like Madonna and Michael Jackson, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta grew up in Manhattan, where she attended private school at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and later studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. At age 20 she began working as a songwriter for Interscope Records, where she penned songs for pop acts such as the Pussycat Dolls. She mounted a solo career several years later, releasing her chart-topping debut single, "Just Dance," in early 2008. Her debut album, The Fame, was issued in the United States later that year, and its Grammy-nominated success paved the way for a U.K. release in early 2009. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide

I always thought it was you,
You always thought it was me.
We always thought we were it,
Seemed like a real perfect fit,
Those Brooklyn Nights set us free.

I always thought even though,
We were so young we could grow.
Up in the end it'd be us,
We'd take the F by the bus,
Where Brooklyn Nights set us free.

[Chorus]
It's not that I don't wanna love you (wanna love you),
It's not that I'm really over it, you know (you know).
It's just that I can't watch us bleed to death,
When we used to be,
Brooklyn Nights happy.

[Verse 2]
I miss our cheap chandalier,
'Member when dad hung it there?
And we would watch Rocky IV,
The one where the Russian scored,
I loved Brigitte Nielsen's hair.

I'd call you my champion,
Thought we had already won.
And cracked open our last beer,
Falling asleep in our tears,
