Lay talks about his trust in SM Entertainment, EXO, and keeping in touch with the former members

Sohu released on April 21, Lay spoke about his new workshops in China, SM Entertainment, EXO, and the group\'s former members.

About SM Entertainment\'s first established solo workshop under his name, Lay revealed that SM had proposed the idea to him first. He also said, "There was trust. Since there was trust I thought that this was possible. I am very fortunate [for the first workshop under SM]. I\'m thankful for everything."

Kris and Luhan\'s leave] must have had a lot of impact on the company. Everything I choose and decide now will also of course impact the company." He also added, "I think the company as well as the individuals are experiencing a process of growth, changes, and challenges."

When asked about how EXO are doing after the leave of the two members, Lay replied, "The members are very strong. Right now the members are holding each other\'s hands and walking forth together. I can\'t say that [Kris and Luhan\'s leave] had no impact on the group. There is an impact. But I want to say this. Everyone is good. As long as everyone is good, it\'s fine."

The idol was also asked if he personally keeps in touch with the former members.

He said, "I do. I met up with Luhan a little while ago and we ate a meal together. These days, we\'re so busy we can\'t meet up with each other."

I\'m happy that he keeps in touch with them. This gives me hope for other groups, the ones who did not have a good split. But I have a feeling that he will get in trouble with SM if they didn\'t already know about it.

Wow, Luhan and Kris\'s departures really were for the best (for themselves and the members).  This lead SM to finally learn from their mistakes, which I didn\'t think would ever be possible.

He\'s got the most beautiful heart. Even though Luhan\'s leave left a negative impact on Exo, Lay is forgiving and stays in contact with him. Well isn\'t that true friendship?

I love Lay! He`s so sweet, caring and honest! That`s one of the reasons he`s my bias in Exo ( with Yifan if you count him )

Lay is such an angel, he talks so sincere and it\'s so nice to hear that from an actual member from the impact of 2014. Exo\'s keeping strong, I hope they stay strong for a long time, even with SM chaotic managing. Exo-l let\'s love!

even if they\'re not working together, they\'re still friends and that\'s who it should be. i don\'t know why the Chinese members keep getting so much hate lately but i believe in them and i believe in EXO

Gosh. I want a husband like him pls. No, I want HIM as my husband pls. Such good-hearted. I really wish him the best in his life. He\'s very optimistic. It\'s good to know that they\'re still in contact bcs imo, I really think that they\'re actually still keeping in touch with each other. The only separating them is that they\'re not in the same group anymore. Hope their friendship continues.

oh well i gotta correct my comment... in the interview video of "Sohu" with lay, lay explicitly says that it actually was HIS idea first. sometimes articles are kinda misleading (@akp) :-P

Lay is really the unicorn of EXO... whatever he says makes us feel warm and keep faith in humanity. I am a proud EXO-L

And this is ladies and gentlemen how one normal human being above everything (his career and fame and similar) should act...normally. I\'m not EXO-L nor am I fan in general of EXO but this young man is a true example of what we all should be. Normal human beings. Normal people with normal way of thinking. Kudos to you, Lay.

Lay :) So humble and hardworking and honest >< It\'s true, so long as all the members are happy, everything is OKAY. If Luhan and Kris are happier solo, then that means being in a K-pop group wasn\'t supposed to be their destiny. 

I think this has made EXO stronger as individuals and as a group, and I\'m so looking forward to where they\'ll be going from here!

Meanwhile K-Netz is hating on this and keep accusing him on befriending a traitor. If 1 day all the Chinese members left EXO, I wont be surprised. So much hate is being thrown in their way for ever single thing they\'re doing.So bad that I wish if 1 days they did leave they would tell the media "This is what the fans wants me to do anyway\'. Erghhh

I\'m not Lay\'s fan but I admire him on this. He\'s such an honest & straightforward person.
