It’s getting cold in here, my body start shacking, before I knew what was going to happen the tears start to roll down my face. Not just a few tears no, a waterfall is running over my face. This is my first Smacked fanfic so it may not be brilliant but I thought I'd give it a go! =]

Mac and Stella had grown considerably closer and closer after so many years working together. They also knew how they both felt about each other but were never prepared to admit it. It wasn't because either of them feared rejection or even ruining their friendship; it was just that they were too stubborn, waiting for the other to make the first move.

Mac laughed before looking from Flack to Stella and back to Flack.

Flack’s eyebrows shot up in surprise.

“You…… Stella…...”

“Yes,” Mac smiled as he nodded his head.

“Whoa Mac,” Flack grinned, slapping Mac on the chest before turning to Stella,” You aren’t driving Stella!!”

Lifting her head in confusion Stella looked at Flack.

“Why not?”

“Stella,” Flack laughed, shaking his head,” the streets are full of cars; with you driving we’ll end up crashing.”

Taking Stella’s hand, Mac led her round to the passengers’ side.

“I’ll drive,”

“Fine,” Stella replied...

“Have you ever noticed that we finish each other’s – “

“Lunch?” Mac interrupted with a straight face but telltale glint of amusement in his eyes.

Stella’s gaze flickered to the fry she’d just swiped from her friends’ plate and rolled her eyes good-naturedly. “Sentences,” she finished. She popped the stolen food into her mouth and chewed thoughtfully, all the while studying Mac’s expression.

“I have noticed that,” he agreed after a moment’s consideration. “We spend so much time together that – “

Chapter Two: The Discovery

"It can't be, it just can't be", Stella said quietly to herself, while she waited for Mac in his office.

Mac came walking into his office just getting out of his meeting with Sinclair.

"Stella what are you doing in here?"

"Mac, I have something very important to discuss with you and frankly I don't know what to make of it. Here look at this file that contains the results of what Lindsay processed on the toothpicks you found at the crime scene today."

Mac looks at the file and then looks at Stella with a shocked expression on his face.

"Stella this is impossible."

"I know...

Peyton sat in the 1st class part of the aeroplane sitting in Heathrow, awaiting take-off.

'This is your Captain speaking, please fasten your seatbelts.'

Peyton smiled to herself, here she was, a year after she called off her relationship with Mac, going back to work for him against his wishes. The second he had hung up the phone that day telling her he was in a relationship with Stella, she knew he had still had feelings for that women when Mac should have been all to herself!

"Ma-am are you quite comfortable there? Would you like a drink? Or maybe a snack?"

He doesn’t answer. He just can’t look in her eyes. Can’t look in her face knowing he has kissed it so often last night.

Hell, NO! He isn’t okay. He has had sex with his ex-girlfriend! No, he isn’t okay.
“Mac, talk to me.”
He cheated Stella. He cheated himself. He is Stella’s. Not Peyton’s. Not anymore.
