I heard Piper stepping close and knew that she was not fond of cats, or dogs...or well pretty much any animal that isn't a horse. I stepped back just in time before her teeth snapped on the cat.

Michael threw the blankets into the bin and was running at me as I realized that I was falling with my hand out, just like in my dream. "Young human," A voice called. I heard a high pitched laughter as I looked around for the owner of the voice. "Down here."

Driving down this road
like every other day before,
so familiar that I allow myself to daydream
knowing that I will make it home..
even without looking.
A song comes on the radio,
a song that makes me think of those I love
those that I may know in some ways
but do not in others.
A song that makes me smile,
A song that brings names and no faces
but that doesn't matter,
I don't need to see you to care about you
to know who you all really are.
In a world full of backstabbers,
of people who pretend to be what they are not
