___From Noises Off! Michael played Lloyd.

Lloyd: Brooke?
Brooke: Yes?
Lloyd: Are you in?
Brooke: In?
Lloyd: Are you there?
Brooke: What?
Lloyd: You're out. Okay. I'll call again.

Usher: Mr. Fellowes, uh, is there anything wrong with your seat?
Lloyd: [thinking] Yeah, it's facing the stage!

___From Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Michael plays Lawrence Jamieson

[Ruprecht (Steve Martin) is mauling Lawrence's new girlfriend]
Lawrence Jamieson: Ruprecht, do you want the genital cuff?

Lawrence Jamieson: Freddy (Steve Martin), as a younger man, I was a sculptor, a painter, and a musician. There was just one problem: I wasn't very good. As a matter of fact, I was dreadful. I finally came to the frustrating conclusion that I had taste and style, but not talent. I knew my limitations. We all have our limitations, Freddy. Here is a list of some of Michael Caine's great quotes.

“Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath.”

“I'll always be there because I'm a skilled professional actor. Whether or not I've any talent is beside the point.”

“First of all, I choose the great roles, and if none of these come, I choose the mediocre ones, and if they don't come, I choose the ones that pay the rent.”

“My career is going better now than when I was younger. It used to be that I'd get the girl but not the part. Now I get the part but not the girl.”

“Film stars to me were always six feet four, had perfect teeth and could do handstands on Malibu Beach - and didn't need glasses”

“I started with the firm conviction that when I came to the end, I wanted to be regretting the things that I had done, not the things I hadn't.”

“I'm a sort of boy next door. If that boy has a good scriptwriter.”

Michael Caine has played such a wide variety of characters in his movies. I thought I'd just share some of my favorite ones. His performances of Alfred Pennyworth in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" are the best portrayals of Alfred I've ever seen. I don't think anyone could play him better. I loved his performance of Inspector Abberline in "Jack the Ripper." I found myself more interested in the life of Abberline than in what Jack the Ripper was doing. I think that says a lot for his performance. The role of Alfie couldn't have been a more perfect role for him. I think many people think of him as Alfie still. In the movie "Sleuth" he's played both of the two lead roles, Milo Tindle in the 1972 version and Andrew Wyke in the 2007 version. He shined in both of them. It was great seeing him in the 2007 version with Jude Law playing the role originally done by Michael. I must say Jude Law has done great in both of the roles he's played that were originally played by Michael Caine...Alfie and Milo Tindle. I adored Michael Caine in "Secondhand Lions." He brought such warmth and humor to Garth. One of my most favorite characters is Lawrence Jamieson in "Dirty Rotten...
