Over the weekend, Miley Cyrus debuted her edgy new look, complete with platinum blonde tresses and an angled pixie cut – and we love it!

Miley’s always been big on fashion and we think her new look suits her playful personality. So in honor of Miley’s new ‘do, we’d like to dedicate this post to the wonderful wishes she granted for two of our very special wish kids: Paige and Daymon.

In 2009, while still filming Hannah Montana, Miley granted a wish for Paige, a 12-year-old with cystic fibrosis. Paige was able to visit the set of the show and even watch Miley tape an episode – which is something she will never forget.

More recently, in 2011, Miley granted a wish for 13-year-old Daymon, who suffers from spina bifida. He was invited to the set of Miley’s movie So Undercover, where he had the chance to sit down and have a really nice chat with Miley; he even presented her with a stuffed pink bear to remember him by!

“I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other,” she says of her fiance, “The Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus is defending herself from critics who think she is too young to be thinking about marriage. The singer-actress, 19, in May became engaged to The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, whom she met in 2009 on the set of The Last Song.

“Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with,” she says in the September issue of Marie Claire. “I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement.”

She declined to talk about how Hemsworth, 22, proposed, though she did say at happened at the 8,000-square-foot house that they share in California’s San Fernando Valley (Cyrus’ family previously lived there before relocating two doors down).

Cyrus, who is working on a fourth album, added that Hemsworth, who hails from Australia, gets along well with her family.

Getting caught taking drugs isn’t exactly a wise career move, but it’s opened doors for pop singer Miley Cyrus.

The now-infamous leaked video of the former Hannah Montana star smoking a bong allegedly “inspired” notoriously picky music producer Pharrell Williams to want to work with her.

“Pharrell said, ‘Don’t be offended because this is how I talk, but [I thought], That bitch is actually living,’” Miley told Marie Claire. Pharrell wanted to “free that b—-” and get her “out of her cage”. The resulting recording sessions were “magic”.

“I’d never worked like that before,” Miley said. “I was talking to him like he was an older brother, and everything I said was going onto the track.”

According to E! News, Miley has been quietly working on a new studio album for some time, and it’s set to be “very adult and sexy and believable”. “We are watching a young girl turn into a young woman,” an insider said, revealing that Miley was “having fun making music” for “the first time in her career”.
