Besides all the more commonly known versions of 'Frankenstein' that are out there, compare the 1939 'Son of Frankenstein' to Mel Brooks' 'Young Frankenstein' ...there's so many similarities it's ridiculous. I know Mel Brooks likes to parody a lot of things, but I'm not sure how much is parody, and how much was just taken directly out of 'Son of Frankenstein'. Both of them made me lmao!

oh god, there are a ton these days. especially horror movies, because hollywood just isn't coming up with anything new.

If only they took the GREAT movies of 60's and 70's and add to them just the high screen quality. Imagine "west side story" without the blares or the bad-fake-tan of the american gang. Seriously, which american has that hideous brownish-redish colour on his face?

On the other hand, "Ever After" (remake of Cinderella) and "10 things i hate about u" (the taming of the shrew) were magnificent remakes!!!
