Either Sparkler or Firefly, I think. These "prototypes" all look pretty cool, but I'm darn glad the ponies all turned out the way they did!! (These weren't "changed"; they were Faust's original concept art for FiM. Names and physical traits from preexisting ponies were shuffled around to create our beloved characters...mostly for legal reasons, tied together with Faust's personal decisions, I think.)

Can ya imagine Pegasus Pinkie?!? The laws of physics wouldn't STAND a chance...!!! XDD Surprise does sort of look like a Pinkie/Derpy cross. +3

^Yep, from what I understand Hasbro lost the rights to all the G1 names except for Applejack and Spike (if you ever see a cartoon episode from the '80s series, these two characters look more or less the same). Many of the FiM characters' names come from G3, but Lauren Faust somewhat based their personalities on these six originals.

I really love Firefly's appearance. Love those luminous colours, her cutie mark, and her powerful expression and pose! But Sparkler comes in a close second, who just looks so pretty. :)

Posey and Sparkler, since I've grown to love the current characters on FiM. Faust's originals are great, but I like how they turned out now. I think their current colors fit their personalities better.

i think the surprise model is simply perfect. i love how pinkie pie's apperance on the sky, and it would be great to see her as a white
& blonde pegasus. i might draw surprise and pinkie humanized ^^

In the older version of My Little Pony Twilight was my favorite character. I really like her character design. However, I also love Twilight Sparkle and it is probably why Twilight Sparkle is my favorite character.

So glad that Hasbro kept Applejack's rights, the other five ponies are all based on G3 ponies but they still have their G1 personalities. I can imagine Rainbow Dash as a recolored Firefly! lol
