I believe that too. I mean no one really knows what happened to Obito. And in the land of the mist didnt the team learn that the anbu Black ops were supposed to dispose of bodies with kekkei genkai so no one could get their hands on the secret? It doesnt make sense that 1. Madara would even live that long. and 2. they would leave Obito's body under those rocks. Just doesnt fit...

I took a break from the manga i recently just continued

Obito has no real motive to do what he is doing IF he was Tobi. He loved Konoha and his friends Kakashi and Rin. Plus when Tobi and Minato fought don't you think Minato would've sensed it was his fellow pupil?? I understand the whole one eye thing cause at first i assumed he was Obito. But when i truly thought about it. There's no real motive behind it.. Unless he's been brainwashed BUT his attitude is too much like Naruto. He would never turn his back on a friend or his Village..

That leads us to my guess on who Tobi mite be.. He still could be Madara... He did say he was only a shell of his former self. He could be a special clone?? Like Muu. Split into 2 or something like that.. When Nagato brought the people of Konoha back from the dead, Tobi quoted "He was suppose to use that technique for me".. Maybe to resurrect the other half of him?

I dont understand how the revived Madara knows Nagato BUT he was surely stunned that he was brought back to life via Impure World Resurrection.. Maybe he was suppose to be brought back via Rinnegan eyes?? Anyways just thoughts, correct where im wrong and if iv made misjudged assumptions :)

i dont think so because tobi had 2 sharingans and he gave one up for the rinnagon with a special jutsu. Obito got 1 eye crushed and the other 1 was given to kakashi.

Side note: Tobi can't be Obito cause Obito was alive when Tobi fought against The 4th Hokage.. So rule out Obito being Tobi.

To onyxtower Obito died when kakashi became a jonin and Minato said that we are now equals, he wasn't hokage yet. At that time kakashi was 13. When the nine tails attacked the leaf kakashi was 14.

and obi is old and obito is kakashi age and kakashi is is 29

i think obito is tobi, but i hope he isnt. that would be really sad but all the signs point to him. well, i haven't read the manga so i may be missing some stuff..

i think your right case tobi and obito are both extracts from the japaneise word tobitobi meaning scartered here in there;in intervals and tobi's right arm was detachable as seen when it got infected during his fight with Fu and Tortune and obito could be just trying to find peace and also to prove his power cause he used to be concidered a weekling and also kakashi and his eyes have similar powers.

Tobi is madara uchiha he fought a against konaha and the 4th hokage. he is not obito. obito died trying to save what was left of his squad until a huge rock crushed him and his right eye. the other was given to kakashi
