How you and Tobi began dating: You and Tobi were partnered for the mission to go capture the Kyuubi in Konohagakure. You thought that once you joined the Akatsuki 10 years ago, that you would never have to step foot into this terrible village ever again. As you and Tobi were still traveling to go to the village, he noticed that you were oddly quiet, which was very unlike you. “Um, Izanami-chan? Are you feeling all right?” he questioned you. You gave him an obviously fake smile and even your bright, happy-looking green-blue eyes were darkened in fear and sadness. “I-I’m fine,” you murmured nervously. “No . . . you’re not.” Your eyes widened. Tobi’s voice was strangely . . . deep, masculine, and very serious. You were astonished to hear such a goofy and silly guy sound like that. “I guess you’re right. So what?” you said with a sigh. “Come on, let’s go rest and talk over here,” he said with his serious voice again, and led you over to the shade under a pine tree. As soon as the two of you sat down in the shade, your curiosity got the best of you; you decided to ask him, “Tobi, how come your voice changed like that?” He sighed heavily and pulled up his mask, exposing his face to you. “I’m not exactly who I pretend to be in the Akatsuki, let’s just say. My playful side is all just an act.” Your eyes widened in astonishment, but a small feeling of hope began to brighten you up inside. “M-Me, too. I only pretend to be fun-loving and happy towards the other members because I don’t want everyone to think that I’m sensitive. I have very bad experiences with the Leaf Village, and maybe I’m even a little afraid to go back there again.” Tobi’s Sharingan eye widened in shock as he continued to stare at you as you spoke. “But I just . . . I don’t see why you care so much. So what if I’m quiet for once? I don’t want to go back to this stupid village.” Tobi rested his hand on your shoulder and set his mask down on the grass. “Izanami, I don’t want you to live in fear; I care about you too much for that.” Suddenly you couldn’t take it anymore. You glared at your partner and demanded, “Why? Why exactly do you care about me so much? I don’t understand!” He smiled to himself and chuckled lightly, not answering your question. “Tell me why!” you screamed at him, launching to attack him. But he held you securely around the waist before you could smack Tobi across the face, and his lips crashed into yours, kissing you lovingly and passionately. You were very confused, frustrated, and scared, but his kiss began to sooth those dark feelings of yours. You broke the kiss after a few seconds and blurted out, “Tobi, I don’t know why, but I love you, and that kiss made me realize that . . . that is also one of the feelings I’ve been hiding.” He held you closer and whispered to you, “I love you too, Izanami. You don’t have to hide anything from me anymore.” You loved the sound of his deep voice and you hugged him closely. Because of his confession, you no longer felt scared to go to the Leaf Village anymore; you were going to be brave, but before the mission could continue, you had to ask him one last thing. “Tobi, if you’re pretending to be someone else, then who exactly are you?” All was quiet for a moment before he broke the silence. “My real name is Madara Uchiha, but I’d prefer if you still called me Tobi.” You smiled sweetly as he helped you stand up and he put his mask back on.
