What has happend to Nickelodeon?!

That's so true. Almost all T.V. is going downhill. Seriously. It's just pathetic. And sad. It's pathetically sad.

Rugrats was cancelled because the new show 'All grown up' ruined the classic.Invader zim:cancelled due to low ratings.Ren And Stimpy:Cancelled because nick thought it was too 'inapp'.Rocko's Modern Life:Cancelled as the same reason for invader zim low ratings.Spongebob:still running.Jimmy Newtrom:cancelled cause was thoguht was too 'inapp'.R.I.P nickelodeon 1977-2003

I feel the same way also. Like my old childhood shows are way more better than now in days. Dont get me wrong but the shows are good but not as back then. Like i used to love the shows like the amanda show, ginger, the rugrats, kenan and kel &way more shows:)

yheah, i miss Nick Guts. Legend of the hidden temple, picture this, that rocked. why do wee need all this teen nick, nick jr, and nick at nite crap? who even watches everybody hates Chris? Nick sucks so much, i considered giving up tv for the rest of my life! finally other people who think nick has lost it! Thank god they still have Avatar the Last Airbender, Aka the only reason people still watch nick.

i sooo miss invader zim... and rugrats.... and other stuff.... its just sad! the new shows are stupid..... fanboy and chumchum... .who the hell thought of it!?!?!? it is a retarded show!!! now the shows back then were great!!! i miss them! :'(

Honestly I think the reason television's going down the tubes is the same as why movies don't make me want to go to a theatre much anymore. There is no innovation or originality. Remakes of things is all we know or things aimed at college kids.

And in terms of other things it's called everything must now be politically correct. Parents today let's face it in majority would be disgusted by what Nick used to show. Today's mom and dad wants their kid to be able to be in a top ranked daycare/pre-k, they need state of the art schooling, must ace that SAT/ACT, be the straight A student, go to college, get an amazing degree, and be the CEO of a major company.

The episode of You Can't Do That On Television with the Russians is a classic example of this. In today's society if that aired it proves how amazing the title of the show is and was for that time. You really can't do that on television anymore. Because oh my god you're a racist or some other label they will find for us. No one sees the humor in it. Instead we'd be considered like Archie of All in the Family.

Let's face it...this is what America, the world, and society as we know it is forever heading towards...a world where truly freedom of speech or anything as an inalienable right no longer exists!! And I for one flat out hate it. I miss the old shows of my youth which were amazing works of creativity and innovation ahead of their time!! What sells today blows and says something about society that this is what they buy into. I haven't watched a Nick show in ages. The changes to programming make me flat out gag!!

Man I agree with you on the shows! I-carly is not funny anymore,and Drake and Josh was a hell of a lot better. Fairly oddparents started to suck after Poof was born. Avatar the last airbender and Danny Phantom were great,so was Jimmy Newtron, Angry Beavers, Invader Zim The Amanda show,Ginger,Rugrats,Rocko's Modern Life,damn I could go on forever on how Nick FAILS NOW. As well as Cartoon Network.

I too miss the old Nick. Most of the shows now are far too boring with horrible humour. And the other shows with real people are too much of a "teen complex". You know what's going to happen: Kid does something stupid, kid tries to hide it. Kid gets found out. Kid learns from mistakes. Episode ends.

And the whole lovey-dovey mess is a bit too much. Almost every main character of those shows are trying to get bf/gf and it's really dumb. Making it too much like real life.

They've canceled Nick Magazine and I used get that magazine in them mail and they've made Nick Jr. and TeenNick separate channels. Obviously Nickelodeon is just becoming just another "family" channel. There almost nothing good on Nickelodeon now but SpongeBob. Seems like all the good NickToons except SpongeBob have gone "extinct", just look at what we have lost from Nickelodeon: Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers,The Fairly OddParents, game shows, Blue's Clues, and I could go on forever about this rant!
