Is One Direction star Harry Styles scared of the dentist?

The One Direction singer made the shocking statement on Twitter much to the delight and compassion of his fans

Harry Styles may seem all manly, strong and confident (depending how much you love him), but he has hinted that he\'s actually scared of the dark and the dentist.

While fans were delighted that Harry could be giving us an insight that he is actually human, and admitted some of his deepest, darkest secrets on Twitter, as he wrote: "Scared of the dark and the dentist."

The tweet should\'ve carried a the hashtag for \'now playing\', as the line is actually a line from Mary Lambert\'s song Secrets.

Fans have been quick to offer their sympathy, with one writing: "Proud of you, love x," and another adding:  "Aww."

But a few found it all a bit too much to take seriously, and another user added: "Man up son."

It was just a part of a very soft side we\'re starting to see in the star, after he proposed to a fan live on stage.

The teen pin-up popped the question to the lucky lady who was dressed as a bride at the band\'s gig in Philadelphia after he picked her out of the sell-out crowd and joked he didn\'t want her efforts to go to waste.

While the boy band were thanking the audience at the end of their gig, Harry said: "I heard there was a girl here in a wedding dress ... is there a girl here in a wedding dress?

"Now I feel bad letting this go to waste so what\'s your name? Priya? Priya ... will you marry me? There\'s been a plot twist! OK .. awesome."
