Star studded: One Direction, Iggy Azalea and Ed Sheeran were among the festival's line up

It was hard to know how iHeartRadio would top the first night of their music festival after huge performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

But with One Direction kicking off Saturday night\'s show, they were certainly off to a good start.

The boyband took to the stage for the second night of the event and had the audience enchanted with a rendition of their hit song Little Things.

Looking super suave, the boys showed off their impressive collection of arm tattoos and quiffed hair.

Despite their achingly cool vibe, there was one awkward moment when Harry Styles attempted to crowd surf - but failed spectacularly after just sort of throwing himself onto the front row.

The band have been in Las Vegas for the past week as they celebrated Niall\'s 21st birthday in the famous casinos.

"We have actually lost all our money, we don\'t want to talk about it," Liam joked, while Niall admitted that he might never leave the desert city.

Ed Sheeran was also at the festival to sing what the crowds thought was a cover of Macklemore\'s Same Love - until Ed invited the rapper up on stage with the pair treating audiences to an amazing collaboration.

They then shared a hug before Ed launched into one of his oldest tracks, A-Team.

Shapely: Iggy\'s clashing mini dress showed off her toned pins

Iggy Azalea also performed on Saturday, wearing a super-short, colourful mini dress that showed off the singer\'s toned pins.

The event, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was hosted superstar DJ Calvin Harris, who got the audience on their feet with his fast-paced DJ set.

Scottish producer Calvin then gave fans a special treat as he debuted his new single, Blame, with John Newman providing live vocals for the track, alongside some pretty extravagant pyrotechnics.

And as if all this excitement wasn\'t enough, crowds were also treated to some of Lorde\'s best dance moves as she hit the stage for her 15-minute set.

The Royals singer opted for big, wild hair and an animal print khaki two piece, teamed with chunky leather boots - perfect for throwing all those crazy shapes.
