Jacey and Doey: The comparison to One Tree Hill's Brucas and Leyton

Ok, I don't know who else watches/watched Dawson's Creek but I find HUGE similarities to the Joey and Pacey's relationship(Jacey, JP) to Brucas (BL); and Joey and Dawson's realtionship (Doey, JD) to Leyton(LP).
Ok...
Doey and Leyton are 'platonic soulmates'. i.e. they share similar interests JD film, analyzing, academic fulfillment; LP music, abandonment, the arts (writing and drawing).
LP and JD seem to be unable to function normally with or without the other. Both share traumatic experiences and are there for each other which undoubtedly gives them a close emotional bond.

A short opinion about Joey and Pacey's relationship versus Joey and Dawson's relationship

I am a dire Dawson's Creek fan. My favorite couple from the very beginning was Pacey and Joey. People usually either love Dawson and Joey together or Pacey and Joey together. Dawson is a nice boy but he doesn't make Joey a better person like I think Pacey does. Joey helps make Pacey try harder to achieve his dreams and Pacey shows Joey she needs to loosen up and enjoy life more. They even each other out and look beautiful together. They needed one another and always found a way back to each other. I think it was a great decision to have Joey end up with Pacey in the season finale. Dawson was her soul mate but Pacey was her true love. This is just an opinion of a crazed fan.
