Hi, everyone. Antonia here, and I decided to do an article about questions I'm frequently asked about my dog, River. For those of you who don't know, I have two dogs: River and Roscoe. I will do one on Roscoe, too. Let's get started.
1. Q: What kind of dog is River?
A: She is a purebred Siberian Husky.
2. Q: How old is River?
A: She is two years old. Her birthday is April 6.
3. Q: Is she blind in one eye?
A: No. River can see just fine out of both eyes. Most people think that Huskies can only have blue eyes, but this is not true. Huskies can have a variety of different eye colors. The most common are blue, brown, and one of each like River. The proper term is heterochromia. It's just common in Huskies.
4. Q: Is River a wolf, or does she have wolf in her?
A: No, River is not a wolf, and she doesn't have wolf in her. She is one hundred percent Siberian Husky, which is a breed of domestic dog.
5. Q: Was River hard to train?
A: Not really. She's very intelligent, and while she is opinionated, she wasn't particularly hard to train like my Staffy, Roxy, was.
6. Q: What is River's favorite food?
A: River seems to like peanut butter the best.
7. Q: How do you know that River is a Husky and NOT a Malamute?
A: First of all, River is way too small to be a Malamute. Malamutes are much bigger than Huskies. Second, she has two different colored eyes, which is not a Malamute trait. Third, River's tail does curl, but it doesn't completely go over the back, and it resembles a sickle rather than a waving plume. Finally, I had a DNA test done on her that said she is one hundred percent Husky.
8. Q: Why isn't River as big as Roscoe?
A: That's because River is a full-blooded Husky. She doesn't have German Shepherd in her like Roscoe does. Huskies aren't supposed to be as big as Roscoe.
9. Q: Why doesn't River bark?
A: Barking is not much of a Husky thing. Huskies usually howl rather than bark.
10. Q: Does River like the snow?
A: Of course she does! She's a Husky, after all.
There you have it. I will do Roscoe's, too. I know you all are looking forward to reading about him.
Peace and love,
-Antonia

It was summer. Jane and Paula were looking forward to enjoying some time off from school. Neither one of them liked school much, mainly because of the bullying, but they did enjoy each other's company. Jane's Siberian Husky puppy, Shiloh, was growing up fast. Jane said, "Puppies grow up so fast." Paula said, "I know. When we first met, Shiloh was a tiny puppy." Jane said, "Yeah, and she's now getting close to the full size of a typical Siberian Husky." Jane and Paula reminisced about the months since they had met. They had grown very close. They made a pact that they would remain friends for life, no matter what.
