Out of films connected with Jane Austen I can recommend Emma 2009 and Sense and Sensibility 2008, and Miss Austen Regrets.
And I'd recommend North and South, Wives and Daughters, Cranford - all by Elizabeth Gaskell, The Young Victoria - a true story, Atonement and The Painted Veil. I forget something, I'm sure;)
I highly recommand:
"The Barchester Chronicles" It is a 1982 British television serial produced by the BBC. 7 episodes (400 min total) with a young Alan Rickman :D
...and you can get it for a good price on amazon.co.uk or amazon.com
I recently just watched 'The Young Victoria'. It stars Emily Blunt and *gasp* the person who plays Mr. Wickham in the 2005 Pride & Prejudice.
It is a movie about the young Queen Victoria, she talks a little at the beginning about how she discovered she would be queen, her family life, the day she discovers she is now queen. Then it goes on to her marriage to Prince Albert.
