Period Films Question

Can anyone reccommend me some good period films?

I've already watched Pride and Prejudice (2005 and 1995), Sense and Sensibility (1995), Emma (1996), Northanger Abbey (2007), and Becoming Jane.

Please try both versions of "Bleak House" by Dickens....Try the 1985 version with Denholm Elliot first, then watch the 2006 version with Gillian Anderson. Two very different productions, both excellent .....

Out of films connected with Jane Austen I can recommend Emma 2009 and Sense and Sensibility 2008, and Miss Austen Regrets.
And I'd recommend North and South, Wives and Daughters, Cranford - all by Elizabeth Gaskell, The Young Victoria - a true story, Atonement and The Painted Veil. I forget something, I'm sure;)

I recently just watched 'The Young Victoria'. It stars Emily Blunt and *gasp* the person who plays Mr. Wickham in the 2005 Pride & Prejudice.

It is a movie about the young Queen Victoria, she talks a little at the beginning about how she discovered she would be queen, her family life, the day she discovers she is now queen. Then it goes on to her marriage to Prince Albert.

A wonderful movie!

I liked Cranford and Return to Cranford. I also enjoyed the Heiress and The secret garden. A dinner of herbs by Catherine Cooksen, and of course The Jane Austin collection.
