I don't write much poetry but this my attempt. Feedback would rock. x

How Clumsy

How clumsy our hands are
To so often give leave to those we love,
Crossing fingers behind backs
And waving wistful farewells

How clumsy our tongues are
Infatuated with power,
Quick to anger and quick to act
Then begging acquittal of Lazarus

How clumsily we handle
The abstracts we cannot fathom,
How clumsily we blunder
The lines we misrepresent

We are but mites surrounded by infinity
Enveloped by narcissism
And drunk on false pretenses –

How clumsy

Can Words Describe
Can words describe the beautiful individual you are
Can it really put altogether what you really are,
for you are special
It is easy to see that God spent extra time with you
My heart is enlighten just by knowing that you are in safe hands,
that I need not worry, nor draw any concern
I pray that in time we'd be good friends, but if not so, then
not so
I pray for the opposite, for the thought of being friends
is something worth fighting for
And no words can't describe the type of person you are, and
that's okay, cause it is better to show it anyway

When I think of you
A tear falls and I start to cry
And brings me to sleep like a childs lullaby
When I see you
I have to look away
And pray that my hurt can come another day
So I can feel better
When I hear your voice
I have to tune it out not that I have a choice
We may like each other
But if we come together and start
We would burn our soles and fall apart
Your like fire and I'm like ice
When we touch we hurt each other
We will never be able to be together
And for now all I can do is wish
